Great evening getting tucked into the veggie Taster Menu... Superb!
Fantastic food. Not your traditional Indian.
Really good food and good price as well. This is the second time I have been to Atithi and both times were really good. However this time we were sat at the back of the restaurant, near the toilets, which was rather annoying as we would hear the hand-dryer every time. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Thank you, food was excellent!
Looking forward to visit again.
Food was great. Service was slower than expected and the restaurant wasn't even full. Glad we were sat in the front of the restaurant as the back seemed a little clinical with the bright lighting.
Very tasty food, well presented. Interesting dishes and authentic
I ordered the 6 course taster menu, and tasted food that others had ordered. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. If you're looking for an Indian restaurant in Cambridge, I doubt whether you'll find many places better than this one. Some of the dishes were divine!
I was sceptical of having a 5* dining experience at an Indian Restaurant but Atithi takes curry to another level. The food without doubt was the tastiest Indian food I have ever tasted and I've visited India on my travels tasting many of the local favourites. The service was exceptional, attentive, friendly staff who made you feel welcomed and relaxed. The ambiance / interior could be improved / updated. I was pleasantly surprised with the prices, food and drink were no more expensive than any local curry house with a meal for 3 costing less than £25 per head including wine, poppadum's, starter and mains with sides. The staff enquired about our day and told them I was celebrating my birthday at the end of our meal they brought out a lighted candle on the best tasting ice cream and sung happy birthday, a nice touch to round off a fantastic meal. Would easily recommend Atithi as a fine dining experience
The food is delicious, really good flavours and nice presentation. Reasonably priced wines. Friendly helpful staff. The ambience could be improved through.
Only one criticism- the table were we were at had poor lighting and my partner found reading the menu difficult. However, this was solved when our waitress provided a mobile phone with a light.
Excellent food - different to your usual 'curry house'. Great flavours. And service was great.
My partner and I had the tasting menu. Every dish was outstanding!
Great food, good service all in all a good experience for me and my business colleagues
The curry was outstanding, and the service matched this!
The food was excellent - we will definitely be going back to taste more of the dishes! Generally a great experience, though we were seated in a back room away from the main part of the restaurant which mean some of the ambiance was lacking (there were only 2 other people in our section). Would love to sit in the main section when we go back again, but I'm sure this restaurant will get busier so everywhere will have ambiance soon!
Great restaurant. We will certainly be returning. The food is incredibly tasty and very good value
Amazing food and very friendly service. Veg taster menu was very nice.
The food was really excellent but the venue is not great. Untidy, scruffy and a bit dirty. I don’t think we’d go back unless they get a good cleaner, sorted out those two silly tables at the front of the restaurant where one person sits higher than the other... and wiped the tables.
Unpleasant toilet, and what could be a great outside space that sits languishing unloved with broken chairs.
Absolute quality. Wonderful flavours from the restaurants commitment to using best spices. I went for the butter chicken and it was excellent - not the pale bland curry you get in most Indian restaurants. This makes my top 10 curries without a doubt.
Wishing this new restaurant every success
Very well presented, well staffed with competent polite and friendly people. Food is excellent, simply couldn’t be faulted.
Would I recommend it, already have!
Second time here. Love this place. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had. This time was tandoori Broccoli, octopus two ways, and chicken Tikka masala. Loved every dish, and my kingfisher paired nicely with the spicy food.
Excellent food and service. The dishes were original and highly creative. Taster menu was outstanding value. Unpretentious and focused on quality where it matters most. I look forward to my next visit.
Lovely restaurant, food was absolutely incredible and staff were so helpful and kind! Will absolutely be back!
Reviews were spot on. This place has excellent Indian food... Even the chutney appetizer. I had a scallop appetizer and chicken curry main. I don't like rice that much so opted for the coconut date Naan, which was superb, but very rich. Everything was very tasty, and for me the level of spiciness was just what I wanted. Only fault was the beer on tap was all gone, but the white wine I had instead worked very well with the spicy food. I will be back here again for sure.
We have not eaten in Cambridge for many years as we found the food offerings often overpriced and little or no service. It was a lovely surprise to find this gem in mill road. From walking in we felt welcome. We were perhaps a little early as we were the first customers but slowly others soon followed. We do not like eating late so the dining time suited us.
The venue was clean and very well decorated. We sat at a table in the front window which had a large step up so be mindful of this.
The service was quiet but atten. The food was very good value and not oversized portions. Do not read “mean into that”. Again we prefer good food and portions that are not overflowing. So this was perfect for us.
The desserts left us wanting more, so we had more! Wonderful
The whole experience was great. We will now return to Cambridge again and this restaurant too but we will try others from time to time.
Eating out is finally getting better. Long May it continue.
Excellent meal - outstanding infact! Thoroughly recommended
Excellent food, great customer service and lovely space. Will definitely go again. Their weekend lunch is also great value for money.
I recently visited Atithi for the first time and I cannot recommend it enough. The food was superb. We chose the weekend set lunch menu which is incredible value. This is Indian food on an entirely different level. I'm hoping to visit again later on this week to try the a la carte menu and I cannot wait.
Not your average Indian restaurant don’t expect chicken korma
Lovely people, they actually care about what they are delivering
We enjoyed our dining experience but didn't need to be interrupted so often by waiters and manager asking if everything was OK when we were obviously in the middle of a conversation.
Really pleased this great Indian chef only moved across Town, his food is really beautifully presented and tastes delicious. We had the 6 course fish menu which was good value at £35, and the staff are all friendly and efficient. The dining area at the back of the restaurant is very bright so the ambience could vary depending on where you sit.
Great friendly service, good food and a special treat for a birthday! will definitely be returning.
Delicious food. Something different on Mill Road. Beautiful presentation.
The service was excellent one of our guests are gluten free and they did their best to accommodate her.
Would definitely have a return visit .
Really delicious food. Charming chef. Friendly staff. Great addition to Cambridge restaurants. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
We went on valentines night. Despite booking 2 weeks before we were stuck in the brightly lit back room in our own with the noise of the loos and kitchen around us. The food was good and the service too and the manager realised we were not at all happy with our table location or ambience: there wasn’t any. This table and area should not be used in this state.
Delicious food at an affordable price and great service! Highly recommend
An all-round excellent experience, would definitely return to Atithi. Food was delicious and service attentive. The restaurant manager also made a real effort to decorate the restaurant for Valentine's Day. My only quibble is that the "scallops" course turned out only to be one "scallop", and this is mainly because the scallop was so delicious I wanted a second one.
Having just newly opened, we tried Atithi and were not disappointed. The chef Kamal, came to the table to ask about the food and get feedback. great to have a chef that cares....
The maitre'd Jose was very attentive and we enjoyed the evening. Will definitely go back.
Perfect modern interpretation of Indian food - best curry I ever had :)
