Outstanding Service, Delicious Food, Great Presentation and CLEAN!!!
It’s a must when visiting NY. The food tastes as if your Tita (grandma) made it.
It was so good, we ordered it the next day for take out.
The staff was amazing. I went there for my birthday and they made me feel very special. The food was just amazing. Every bite was delicious ! Would love to come back again !!
Mouth watering appetizers that are true to Lebanese traditional mezze, the lamb tableside sharwarma made for a fun dining experience and quality you can taste. We finished off with Ashta arabic clotted cream dessert - sensational!!
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic!
We really enjoyed the food at Au Zaatar, and of course the best part was the mouthwatering shawarma! We also loved the grilled Halloumi salad and falafel and the Kanafeh at the end was perfect! Fun place to get together with friends and enjoy good food with lively Arabic music in the background and very courteous servers.
Very accommodating with allergies!
Highly recommended! Food was amazing. Very nice people.
Au Za'atar is a great place to come with a group of people. You can order the shwarma spit (which is off th e menu) and you get a personal schwarma delivered to your table! It's interactive and a lot of fun. I went with five other women. We ordered a schwarma and three apps, it was enough to leave us full but not overstuffed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little different in the city.
The food was absolutely incredible. Service was efficient and friendly. I will definitely be going back the next time I’m visiting NYC.
The chicken shawarma was one of the best in town
Delicious food in an imitate setting. The course can serve at least two people. Great for parties to have tastings.
We had such a wonderful time here! We were a party of 8 for brunch. Most people were late and some of us were early. The hostess let the early folks sit at the bar while we waited and then seated us when we tipped the scales at 5/8 people present. So nice of them to do that. Everyone loved the food. The service was the perfect mix of attentive and hands off. The restaurant is cute and cozy. Everything just went off without a single hitch. 10/10 would return and 10/10 would recommend!
Great food! Waiter wasn’t very attentive but he was nice. Fairly loud but could still hold conversation if we spoke loudly. I’d go again for sure, so many things I want to try!
Worth the wait.
Do it yourself gyro is pretty big can feed 5. The novelty wears off after a little. Service not bad. Small place but on par with neighborhood. Worth a shot if never been
Very nice place and Delicious food.
Amazing food and service. We will be back!
Good food but very inconsistent service - some staff were friendly and helpful but others were rude and unhelpful. Example: the waiter picked up the empty bottle of wine and nudged one of us in the arm with it until he had our attention and then waved it in the air as if to ask if we wanted another one. He never said a word. Not good service at the best of times and not good service for an $84 bottle of wine.
Always bring out of towners here. Def get the tower!
Tasty but unfortunately hampered by mediocre service and ridiculously high restaurant temperature.
Great service, delicious food
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our 1st visit to Au Za’atar last night. The service, flavors and atmosphere delighted us. I appreciated how attentive our servers were and how accommodating as well. Eating out with a young child isn’t always easy, but our daughter felt at ease once her plate arrived. I can’t wait to dig in to our generous leftovers and hope we can return again when in NYC.
My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. Everything was excellent. Would gladly come back the next time we are in the city.
Amazing service and the food proportions was really worth the price. Will return with newbies
We loved every bit of our time at Au Za'atar. It's beautiful inside. The service was great and the food was amazing. We couldn't eat enough this time and we'll definitely be back to try more.
Alittle overpriced but the food was okay
great vegetable selection, wonderful meat - quiet - no bottomless booze which means no noisy drunk 20 somethings - bliss!
One of my fave restaurants in the neighborhood. The food is delicious! But don’t order any wine... very poor selection. Otherwise, highly recommended place if you like Lebanese cuisine.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, we are returning guest and we like the restaurant so much.
Great and healthy food!! I highly recommend Au Za’atar.
Service was very poor. Food was tasty but not worth the $$$. We ordered 2 tableside shawarmas, both were delicious but were cold (shawarmas should be served hot). Plus, there were no dinner plates, we all (party of 7) ate from app plates. Never going back!
Air conditioning did not work well. It would have been better to sit outside on hot night. Service was fin though a bit slow. The food was good though it was hard to get enough pita and some of it was burnt. The hot skillets they bring out the entres on are to how for the summer day with no air. Wait till the fall, you will enjoy yourselves way more.
Slow service and horrible customer service
Food was great but overall space of restaurant tiny and claustrophobic. We were a large party and I sat behind a booth against the wall and felt like I was going to suffocate. To top it off it was really hot in the restaurant
Food was excellent and fresh. Service was a little slow, but it was late so probably just tired staff; everyone is really nice though. Table side shawarma was worth it, and the dessert and apps so fresh and tasteful! Definitely visit and enjoy!
So my Aunt cannot walk and we had to drop her off at the entrance then go find parking. My wife took her inside 15 minutes before our reservation time and it took us a while to find parking. Me and my cousin arrived 10 min after the reservation time after parking the car and walking quite a ways. My wife and aunt were seated at the restaurant by then. The waitresses were very rude in pressuring them to order food even after my wife explained the situation to them. Then the rest of the evening they showed a lot of attitude and we were not waited on properly. I hope this was a unique experience. The food itself was delicious and plentiful (albeit expensive). They also tried to short change us in terms of getting us the wrong dish until we noticed it was a smaller size of what we had ordered.
Elona’s service was great. Small and crowded. Unique experience with the mini shawarma. Overall great 👍.
We ordered the table side shawarma. It was a unique and amazing dining experience. The food was well seasoned and delicious! The staff was wonderful, welcoming and very attentive.
