The lobster spaghetti meal was dry and the lobster was tough, obviously been kept warm. When mentioned to staff they did bring extra sauce. Expensive meal for the quality of the food.
Fabulous food. I have a chilli allergy and the chef created me an amazing lamb dish that my dining companions wished they had got. Highly recommend dining here. Food, service, value are all at this place.
Food was very good but lacked ambiance, for a Saturday night it was very quiet. As it wasn’t busy what normally happens is staff lack motivation and attention was a little lax. They were all lovely people but we felt we weren’t given much attention...
Chosen by my husband for my birthday. We don’t eat there often as so many restaurants in our area (Marylebone) but the visit reminded us how very good Aubaine is. Will be back more often. eat there often
terrible service, would not go back there. Plenty of other options around Marylebone.
I had a very nice breakfast at Aubaine in one of the outside tables. Really nice food a bit small but tasty.
Very pleasant, quiet setting just off the high street. Very good quality food and excellent service - attentive but discreet. Lovely place to meet friends for a lunch and a catch up.
very good most enjoyable - excellent quality and goos value.
Not overly impressed given the reputation and prices. The bacon sides were very salty and the service was substandard. Disappointing really but good coffee.
Quiet and spacious restaurant . Good placate meet female friends for lunch
Really lovely food and adequately generous portions with friendly service
Lovely decor, good food and great service. Would recommend!
Poor service and awful food (steak wasn’t fresh, rice was almost dry and not tasty at all) We expected more and for sure we will never come back again
The décor at Aubaine is most attractive and it has the benefit of quiet outside seating ideal for hot weather; alternatively a cool interior.
However what was supposed to be a casual business lunch for two with a medium quality bottle of wine turned out to be ridiculously expensive at £102!
Very enjoyable. One of the few places in the atea open on a Sunday evening.
Met with 2 friends for girls supper - nice and spacious with tables well spaced so great place for being able to talk without shouting. Good choice of food - I had the lamb & a delicious dessert. Liked the ambience and friendly attentive staff. Will be back again
Very disappointing meal at Aubaine Marylebone. Slow and inattentive service, meal took 45 mins to arrive and then only after us asking several times. Meats were poorly cooked - we could hardly even eat them. Last time I will go to this place.
Very average on all accounts. Had high hopes after reading previous reviews though neither the service nor the quality of food were up to scratch
The atmosphere was very good and the staff excellent. We all thought our first courses were excellent. For second course the risotto was highly praised but whilst the sea bream was beautifully presented I thought it was just ok. The profiterole pudding was however a huge disappointment. Rather than it being a soft choux pastry it was very biscuit like. That said we would definitely eat here again due to ambiance and staff. I would be more than. Happy to give food another try.
Overall good but eating off the set menu, portions were tiny and even though there was a surcharge of £3 for the steak the quality of the meat was not brilliant and the portion was miniscule.
Staff were friendly and attentive, nice atmosphere. Perhaps don’t go for the set menu as you’ll need a burger on the way home.
My Aubaine experience was excellent i have been there several tines with friends and clients the food was good service friendly thank you we will be back
Used this restaurant many times and it's always a pleause to eat there. Very good service and friendly staff.
Really lovely food. I went with my boyfriend and we both loved our meals, we also got a complimentary bottle of wine with our main courses which were a great offer. My boyfriend's calamari to start was spicy which was interesting twist and tasted very good, i also enjoyed my starter (was a bit bland, could have done with another flavour) but it was very refreshing. We both loved our main courses though (moules and lobster linguine).
Poor service, took a long time to receive menus and give drinks orders.
Food arrived lukewarm, and two dishes were forgotten so two of the party had to wait another 10mins for their mains.
Starters were nice but mains were average.
Would not re-visit.
Aubaine was amazing, a selection of wine and the steak was outstanding.
Our experience was a mixed bag. Started of well, and we we’re given bread on the table and ordered our drinks, however it ended there. We weren’t asked if we wanted to order any food and it was a while until we got the attention of any of the waiters. Secondly, when our mains did finally come, I asked for an extra side, which the waitress said would come promptly- it never arrived. After I finished my mains I told the waitress to cancel it and she said ‘oh did it not come’ she did apologise however I was slightly annoyed as they weren’t very busy and it was a small portion of broccoli. Next when we ordered our desserts many of the desserts were no longer available. Nonetheless my friend ordered a chocolate pecan brownie with coffee ice cream. When it arrived it was a raspberry sorbet with what looked like a brownie HOWEVER it smelt of herbs and tasted terrible. We asked the waitress why it smelt and tasted like this it which she replied ‘oh this is the vegan option, the chef must have run out of the normal one so gave that to you’. This was the last straw, the waitress should communicate this with us not just expect my friend to eat the vegan brownie- which tasted vile and with a completely different ice cream- it was sorbet! We asked for our bill shortly which took a while.
Overall, I am very disappointed- I will not be returning any time soon.
Boss and client really enjoyed their lunch. Boss has asked to add this to his list of favourite client spots.
New ‘chef’ meant cold food and items missing from our breakfast order - elements from full breakfast were not sent out. Cleared the plates whilst someone was still eating despite being asked not too. Terrible experience. Will not go again. Very poor value for money and service appalling.
Excellent value for money. Nice decor and good choice of meals.
We went for a Saturday brunch with a friend. The service was very good and the food was amazing!
I would strongly recommend you try French toast brioche!
very accommodating and helpful staff i will be going back
Great venue, beautiful decor, great food and wine choices.
Pleasant restaurant with friendly staff. We enjoyed our meal and value was reasonable.
A nice quality restaurant. Not too high end and not too casual. Staff were attentive but not too fussy. Decent French fare, portions a little small but there's a good range without being too traditional.
Good for everyday dining and casual meals.
I have used this restaurant many times and the experience and food has always been excellent.
Great location, good food selection and solid value for money -recommended.
Very nice setting. Very spacious dining area. Nice table in the corner. Polite staff. Great food.
The restaurant was lovely. It was beautifully decorated with lovely lighting, however the tables were rather close together so it was difficult to focus on your own conversation. The staff didn’t seem to know what gluten was, let alone to cater for those with coeliac disease. After thrusting the vegetarian menu at me multiple times, I eventually managed to get my order taken. The food came quickly and it tasted lovely, it was just a shame that the service didn’t quite match up. The waitress seemed disinterested and nearly overcharged us for our food. Perhaps a different branch of Aubaine may be slightly better? And I can only hope that a gluten free menu is introduced in the future, and that staff are informed of what gluten/coeliac disease is.
