    Please always ask what our seating preference is and never assume a customer would prefer a bar, especially when ample seating options are available and the customer has arrived much earlier than the time of reservation. Additionally we had noted that other tables were offered details of the dish we were being served while the details were absent during our experience. The difference in our experience in comparison to other patrons made me wonder if our age, appearance or color affected the level of services we received. Never again. During restaurant “weak”, Feb 8th 2025.

    The service is excellent. The food, while well thought out, has some overwhelming tones and spices. Like the calmari was not good. Olives, orange oil, dates with chorizo. Very , very good. The duck . Dry. The rice pudding, hospital food. Should we have not done the restaurant week menu ? Maybe, but that’s what it’s there for and why we went. Terrible Riesling. People were really enjoying the food so while i would try it again i would not do this location at west loop. The food doesnt even fit on the tables. The pans are scalding and dangerous and the communal tables leave no space. The space is cramped and you cant move . I wanted to love it

    Wow! Decided to try Avec for my birthday dinner - food/service did not disappoint! The dates,endive salad, beef, and prawn starters were all delicious, chicken shawarma with hummus perfection, and the profiterole equally amazing. Service was prompt and not intrusive - just had an excellent evening!

    We picked Restaurant Week for our first visit to Avec. Tim did a great job walking us through the Restaurant Week menu and offered great wine pairings for each course. A great meal and experience and we’re looking forward to coming back!

    We went for a Restaurant Week lunch to check out a place we'd heard good things about. We all started with soup which was very good, and served hot. Two of our three entrees were close to inedible, and dessert awful. The service, however, was fantastic. The ambience was a fun, happening, very noisy place, but the food disappointing.

    Every time I visit avec I feel at home. Everyone is very synchronize very friendly and the food is always spot on. Also, congratulations on the recent award very very well deserved
