ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! From the minute we got to the door the service was atrocious! The girl on the door has a chip on her shoulder speaking to us terribly! We booked an outdoor table and were places upstairs inside with the very loud music. We asked to move and were told there wasnt any space?? We ordered 2 bottles of prosecco and 5 glasses. We received the bottles and 2 glasses and the waiter walked away? After trying to catch someone to solve the situation we got up and left without even breaking the seal on the prosecco. We WILL NOT be returning! Hard Rock Cafe was happy to have us with actual customer service skills!
We ordered a bottle of wine from the menu it was served to us warm and a totally different wine and the bottle label was peeling off. When I asked about this it was taken away and brought back with the excuse it is the same wine but a different brand as it was out of stock but it was a totally different wine I was then told it was similar. This was very disappointing as it was clearly trying to be passed off and the charge was the same £23.95 for a Tempranillo when we ordered a white Zinfandel
Lovely food, good drinks selection and fast service. Spot on.
Didn’t eat just went for drinks, staff were lovely and very accommodating. Service charge on drinks which I may have missed in the small print. Lovely outdoor area. Would go back, may try food next time
Overall an below average experience. We paid £40 per head for brunch - £240 in total booked for outside seating and we were sat indoors on arrival. After much deliberating over our outdoor booking we were sat outdoors like we originally paid for. Mainly because the staff member doing seating was more scared of getting a complaint than offering it through service. It took 45 minutes to get a round of drinks, however we were eventually seen to by a couple of other servers who were very nice and helpful. Food was very good.
I've got to say I'm very disappointed in my experience at Aveika, considering we were so excited to have out first girls night out in 18 months! My friends and my partner and I have spent hundreds if not thousands of pounds over the years going to Aveika. I will not be going back unfortunately.
Usually love Aveika’s bottomless brunch however we were really disappointed yesterday for the first time. We were sat in the bar/club area on a tiny table with 5 of us on. 1 platter of food between 4 people and a few glasses of Prosecco for £40 is really appalling and certainly not value for money. Food was dry and no sauces like there usually is. Won’t be returning for the bottomless brunch again.
I booked this venue for 90 minutes as part of a 40th celebration. In arrival we were ‘pointed’ towards a table and not given a table number. The online ordering did not work. It took 25 minutes for someone to bring a menu and a further 20 minutes to order and receive a drink. I asked several staff for a menu during that time, to no avail. The smell was what I could only describe as ‘eggy’, I presume coming from blocked drains. Second round of drinks was ordered and we didn’t actually receive these drinks due to the fact we had to leave the table and therefore had to request a refund for the drinks. I asked if we could perhaps keep the table longer due to the fact we waited so long. Again nobody came back to confirm if this was possible. Compared to other bars in the area we booked, the service was terrible. In other bars the birthday celebration was recognised and even a free shot/drink provided. Although I realise this is not mandatory, it is however a nice touch. However on this occasion I would have simply been happy to receive better service. I would recommend more staff and training in customer service.
Had table booked for 7 (only an hour and a half slot) Didn’t get any service till 7.40 then took another 25 minutes to get our drink. Other people who had come in after us had service before us. We then Had 20 minutes to drink our drink then had to give up our table
Atmosphere only really appropriate on a night out as a proper 'nightclub experience' doesnt have the right vibe for during the day, inside at least and was too noisy inside. Staff couldve been alot more friendly/helpful. we only had an hour and a half reservation and it took 25 minutes of that time for someone to even come and take our orders, despite us asking three separate people that we would like to order our drinks. theres no app despite this having been the way bars and restaurants work now for almost a year, so we spent ages waiting around. couldnt order more than one drink each to save waiting again, as they were understaffed and couldnt keep up with the demand throught the bar. i know its a different experience for hospitality but its just as different for customers too. Weve all been in the same boat, so a little bit more tolerance and understanding wouldnt go a miss.
Poor and slow service staff weren’t helpful and rude couldn’t be bothered to do their job and waiting an hour to get a drink was very thirsty
Food and drinks are amazing there. They had nice space, we had lots of fun there
We booked a table for 17:45 there were two queues when we got there one for walk ins the other for reservations (which weren’t clearly signed). We had to wait in the queue for 25 minutes before getting in and after speaking to people in the line there were people with later bookings getting in before us even after we had spoke to the guys at the front. When we did get seated no one served us for another 20 minutes and even after that there were no sign of our drinks by this point we were fed up
There was a long queue for a pre booked table in the rain and then we all needed to provide ID (we are all in our 40s)
Once inside the service was good
Great food, lovely outdoor area. Could have done with some music but otherwise it was great!
We felt safe and were put near a heater to keep warm. Cocktails were fab
Bouncers on a power trip. The bald
One was cute doe 💁🏻♂️
I was disappointed we were not in the heated glass courtyard section of the bar. This wasn’t known to me at the time of booking there were X2 sections as we purposely booked going off their pictures on Instagram which were lovely. Instead we were placed out the front of the bar with no shelter / heated / music which resulted in leaving half of our drinks as it started raining and they couldn’t move us to their sheltered courtyard.
I think in future it should be clearly stated which part of the bar your booking.
Very controlled environment, more bouncers/security than customers. Security at front door very intimidating, well like to think their intimidating! Put a smile on your face and welcome your customers! On any other occasion would have turned round and went somewhere else, but in the current climate didn’t have another option! I won’t be back
Lovely place to eat. Food quality excellent.
Already booked again.
Lovely spot - very happy with visit. Cocktails really nice
Apart from being told multiple times that we only have 10 minutes on the table by 3 different staff everything else was perfect.
Good but expensive
The staff couldn’t understand that me and my friends tried to explain that the syrup on the coke had ran out, they then went on to tell us that it was just put on and ‘you can’t get any fresher than that’ although it was see through, i then said that the couple who was sat across from us’ that they’re coke looked very dark (normal) and then they said that’s because theirs was diet coke. I don’t like to complain but when you’re paying £3 etc for a soft drink and for it to be just soda water, the staff just wouldn’t change it for us and tried to make us sound silly.
A very disappointing experience with staff inadvertent to the seriousness of abiding to covid rules, will not be returning. We had booked for a table weeks in advance to then be contacted by Chloe the day before asking for card information in a voicemail message for a deposit. It’s understandable that you may require deposits for bookings however this system needs to be reviewed as when I tried to call Chloe back to pay the deposit she did not answer. We spoke to Chloe at the door on the day and she said she was ‘too busy’ to answer when I had called which is fair enough considering it was a Saturday evening but when your role is to collect these deposits, better planning needs to be carried out as not answering the phone the day before comes across very unprofessional and unorganised. When we arrived on the day we were then told that our booking was for brunch and we were to pay a £40 per person payment up front, we spoke with the waiter and explained that no mention of food was listed when we made the booking as we would not have booked if this was the case having already eaten. Another member of staff then came over to our table and stated rather matter of fact while taking down her mask - which of course is against covid rules - that we couldn’t have the table unless we were to pay the deposit and get the brunch option. Clearly the wrong information was divulged on the booking confirmation however it was likely that we would have spent more than £40 pp on drinks during our visit anyways. I’m positive that if the staff were less confrontational and rude about the situation, I’m sure things could have been handled in a more professional manner. We have visited many times before this and have never experienced such poor management and unpleasantness from staff.
We had a really lovely brunch the atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely gorgeous!! Would highly recommend :)
The staff were all really lovely as well and had lots of smiles which is always great to see xx
We were seated on stools with a very low table- not suitable for eating at, there were tables with proper chairs which we asked to move to but told they were only for bigger parties.
I had the vegetarian brunch platter- it was very dry, I asked for soy sauce but they said they did not have any- very strange for an Asian restaurant? This meant the sushi was really dry.
We weren’t given any plates, meaning it was messy trying to eat.
It felt like they had shoved us in what is usually a smoking area, just to get as many people in as possible and it was very uncomfortable.
The staff were good though, and they were attentive with the bottomless Prosecco
Food was lovely drinks were spoiled by plastic glasses and tables were far to small but waiters and waitresses were fantastic.
Would not recommend. Very poor service, untidy outdoor area. No atmosphere
Tables far too close together and not socially distanced at all. Service was awful our time was nearly up before anyone came to take a drinks order and there was no one to be seen to ask beforehand.
Really good service and good atmosphere
Got taken off the table , halfway though a drink
Staff were not attentive just wanted to bring drinks take money then could never get there attention for the next round
Lovely food…service was excellent but disappointed to be sat out the front on a very small table that was incredibly noisy with traffic going past! Small complaint but hey ho
Terrible service. Booked a table for 1815. Half of us seated, half told to queue for 15 minutes? Waiter kept missing people out when taking orders. Drinks would arrive ie tea but no milk. After asking for it three times would arrive when tea stone cold. Food arrived person by person one would be finished and the next would receive, but food was to be eaten with hands as we weren’t given cutlery? Very strange. Only thing they were at tentative about was making sure the bills were paid promptly, customer service non existent. I know in this time everyone is adjusting , but maybe take a little longer sorting out a plan rather than opening in such a shambles.
Always love the food at aveika but we booked for 6 people and only got a small table. Had to have a discussion with them about possible borrowing another small table... which was bolted to the ground. Really not a 6 people venture
Great food and excellent service , will definitely be back soon!
Ordered skewers, received 4 pieces of chicken for £8. Friends food came out late and cold, had to complain. They did replace the food. Value for money was poor, I left there feeling hungry after buying a main and chips.
Outstanding as always . Great venue and always helpful friendly staff .
service was slow if it was faster we would have spent more.
drinks were lovely.
will be back 100%
Great evening had by all - good table for 6 of us. Service was great and quick and reasonably priced too. Well organised through the venue to the outside terrace (plus all covered in with heaters) and to get to the toilets.
