Lovely spot - very happy with visit. Cocktails really nice
Good but expensive
A very disappointing experience with staff inadvertent to the seriousness of abiding to covid rules, will not be returning. We had booked for a table weeks in advance to then be contacted by Chloe the day before asking for card information in a voicemail message for a deposit. It’s understandable that you may require deposits for bookings however this system needs to be reviewed as when I tried to call Chloe back to pay the deposit she did not answer. We spoke to Chloe at the door on the day and she said she was ‘too busy’ to answer when I had called which is fair enough considering it was a Saturday evening but when your role is to collect these deposits, better planning needs to be carried out as not answering the phone the day before comes across very unprofessional and unorganised. When we arrived on the day we were then told that our booking was for brunch and we were to pay a £40 per person payment up front, we spoke with the waiter and explained that no mention of food was listed when we made the booking as we would not have booked if this was the case having already eaten. Another member of staff then came over to our table and stated rather matter of fact while taking down her mask - which of course is against covid rules - that we couldn’t have the table unless we were to pay the deposit and get the brunch option. Clearly the wrong information was divulged on the booking confirmation however it was likely that we would have spent more than £40 pp on drinks during our visit anyways. I’m positive that if the staff were less confrontational and rude about the situation, I’m sure things could have been handled in a more professional manner. We have visited many times before this and have never experienced such poor management and unpleasantness from staff.
We had a really lovely brunch the atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely gorgeous!! Would highly recommend :)
The staff were all really lovely as well and had lots of smiles which is always great to see xx
We were seated on stools with a very low table- not suitable for eating at, there were tables with proper chairs which we asked to move to but told they were only for bigger parties.
I had the vegetarian brunch platter- it was very dry, I asked for soy sauce but they said they did not have any- very strange for an Asian restaurant? This meant the sushi was really dry.
We weren’t given any plates, meaning it was messy trying to eat.
It felt like they had shoved us in what is usually a smoking area, just to get as many people in as possible and it was very uncomfortable.
The staff were good though, and they were attentive with the bottomless Prosecco
Food was lovely drinks were spoiled by plastic glasses and tables were far to small but waiters and waitresses were fantastic.
Would not recommend. Very poor service, untidy outdoor area. No atmosphere
Tables far too close together and not socially distanced at all. Service was awful our time was nearly up before anyone came to take a drinks order and there was no one to be seen to ask beforehand.
Really good service and good atmosphere
Got taken off the table , halfway though a drink
Staff were not attentive just wanted to bring drinks take money then could never get there attention for the next round
Lovely food…service was excellent but disappointed to be sat out the front on a very small table that was incredibly noisy with traffic going past! Small complaint but hey ho
Terrible service. Booked a table for 1815. Half of us seated, half told to queue for 15 minutes? Waiter kept missing people out when taking orders. Drinks would arrive ie tea but no milk. After asking for it three times would arrive when tea stone cold. Food arrived person by person one would be finished and the next would receive, but food was to be eaten with hands as we weren’t given cutlery? Very strange. Only thing they were at tentative about was making sure the bills were paid promptly, customer service non existent. I know in this time everyone is adjusting , but maybe take a little longer sorting out a plan rather than opening in such a shambles.
Always love the food at aveika but we booked for 6 people and only got a small table. Had to have a discussion with them about possible borrowing another small table... which was bolted to the ground. Really not a 6 people venture
Great food and excellent service , will definitely be back soon!
Ordered skewers, received 4 pieces of chicken for £8. Friends food came out late and cold, had to complain. They did replace the food. Value for money was poor, I left there feeling hungry after buying a main and chips.
Outstanding as always . Great venue and always helpful friendly staff .
service was slow if it was faster we would have spent more.
drinks were lovely.
will be back 100%
Great evening had by all - good table for 6 of us. Service was great and quick and reasonably priced too. Well organised through the venue to the outside terrace (plus all covered in with heaters) and to get to the toilets.
Very nice but drinks took ages to arrive even though only had 1 1/2 hour slot
Was lovely just we were sat on a table in the shade and we were freezing, the heat lamps were put on but didn’t really help. I understand that there will have to be people sat in the shade however it just was a bit rubbish it was us
From start to finish the attention to detail was unrivalled in these uncertain times. Thank you & well done to all staff and management
Was just for drinks very nice atmosphere and good service
Was very good overall but after buying a £100 bottle that we didn’t finish, we weren’t allowed to take it when we left, don’t understand this rule? Especially when the bottle is retailed at £15 in shops so already a rip off. Such a waste
Worst experience of my life, it was my birthday night out and it was shameful, waited 40 minutes for a drink and then had to pay £12 service charge
Unfortunately they got our whole order wrong. Charging us multiple times for one plate of sushi. Due to it being within the first week or so of reopening we and they were both fully understandable. The food was great. The service not so
Having sunshine helps a lot! It’s still April and it can be chilly.
Food ok -we ordered a mix of skewers ( beef was a cheap cut and parts too gristly) with fries (frozen)
Prompt service and staff were lovely.
Lovely food and drinks. Tables are quite small if you’re planning on ordering a few things it can be a struggle. Staff really helpful and friendly but when I visited the toilet I witnessed a staff member come out of the cubical and not wash her hands which didn’t make me feel too confident about cleanliness. Particularly in a pandemic.
Lovely afternoon spent here, great service, drinks and good food.
Started badly when they asked to take a copy of all ID even over 50s for some kind of security they are doing. If this is now the admission policy they should make this clear when making a booking. One in the group did not have ID and another did not want to have a copy taken. Understand that venues might request proof particularly for under 25s but why does a copy have to be taken and how are they ensuring this data is protected. Limited food menu. Poor service with drink orders forgotten. First week back so hopefully service will improve but ID policy means we wont be visiting this or any of their chain again.
Understandably the first opening weekend outdoors is a challenge, however I was left feeling underwhelmed and wanted to leave the second I was seated. Firstly for a prebooked afternoon of drinks we were asked for all of our IDs (each being over 30) to scan in their system for pubwatch, we were then seated and handed back our IDs. Not wanting to be a Karen but naturally annoyed we asked if they were sanitised as they were not, just an unnecessary step taken for a booked party, which they were shocked to be challenged, and then they didn’t implement any other covid procedures such as hand sanitation upon entry as this was their focus. After months of closure, I would have assumed a table ordering system would have been introduced as they had QR codes built into the tables, but this was not the case even though there are many easily available solutions to speed up service. With a limited booking slot, you had to actively campaign and shout for attention of the staff to place an order which was extremely slow paced resulting in a lack of ordering. Once we managed to place an order we managed to place another whilst waiting for our drinks for a simple bottle of Prosecco to see if it would help encourage the speed of a first drink, as we waited over 25 minutes for our initial cocktails. The cocktails arrived which were okay, and then our prosecco.
With drinks being served in glassware, we were shocked to have 3 polycarbonate flutes placed in front of us. This would usually be acceptable however I’ve never seen dirtier glasses in my entire life, even the team member dispensing the product made a comment to try and hide the clear filth. We would usually encourage champagne orders, however during the initial let down we thought we would give it a chance and were disappointed, and a £100+ bottle of champagne would just be a travesty.
We were interrupted multiple times to ask if we’d booked which we had for a 90 minute slot, lack of training and experience was clear.
Service was really slow, drinks weren’t nice. Food was good
Amazing ! Great service and staff are friendly!!
First outing after lockdown- quiet corner - outdoor heaters MOST welcome!
After our 90 min slot was up we inquired if it was ok to stay on.. happily they were able to let us linger - another bottle please then waiter !
Food was tasty but small portions.
Wine priced slightly above average?
The staff and bouncers were lovely!
Only thing is it was hard to catch the staff’s attention to order more drinks
New garden is a proper vibe, DJ on in front a leaf wall.
Food was incredible. Service was great went the extra mile to find us a suitable table after food. Very much appreciated.
Fantastic service met some lovely footballers there who really satisfied me
Food was amazing it came out quick one ordered, was delish. Drinks took longer than usual but due to the current climate it was not a issue. Really impressed over all.
Great service, lovely food
Very little social distancing, felt very sorry for the staff, waited over an hour for drinks
