Amazing as always even in this current climate! Always a warm welcome

Lovely venue and usually great quality of food and service but unfortunately on Sunday morning this was not the case. We had coffees, toast and scrambled eggs for three people. Half the food arrived before the rest, two people had no cutlery, the toast came with no butter or marmalade and one of the party began eating her toast from a napkin on the table. For the price you pay i was not impressed.

We waited 40 minutes for our food, other than that all was good

Great service, delicious food and cosy environment.
Would recommend, it was quite busy so best to reserve.

Service was great overall, however one member of staff was somewhat impolite whenever I asked any questions to them. Otherwise a lovely, friendly experience.

Very overpriced but also delicious. Busy and loud, which is a good sign as it’s popular but you should definitely Book a table

We were a group of seven post Ireland v Wales Six Nations game last Saturday. We ( Irish) had Welsch visitors and all were very satisfied with wine , food and service.
Top favourites were the beef cheeks and venison main courses. The wine Malbec from Argentina also got good mention.
We had pre booked and we had a great corner position and staff were excellent and craic was good.

Music too loud.everything else very good. Good staff and delicious food .beer would be great?

Had a lovely lunch here last Sun. Really enjoyed it. The food was lovely, service excellent but its@a very noisy restaurant so be prepared.

Really nice waiting staff and very tasty breakfast. Also and very importantly- great coffee!

This was an after Christmas get together with a friend. While the staff were efficient and friendly, the food was at best only fair and we were both dissappointed. The level of uncleanliness in the ladies toilet was also unacceptable with waste bins overflowing. There was no excuse for this, the restaurant was not busy and this could easily have been sorted. It left a bad impression and we both agreed we would be hesitant to return to Salt. Such a shame as this used to be a good place to eat.

Outstanding food and service

We had a very good brunch, service was a little slow but did not distract from our brunch, we experienced an incident between two waiters and a cup of coffee which resulted in one of my guests being slightly splashed, it was handled very well by staff members involved and again did not distract from our brunch,

Amazing and we’re regulars

The staff are outstanding - attentive, polite, helpful and so friendly, makes the whole meal and time being in avoca so enjoyable. The food was fantastic , didn’t take long and even if it had of, it would have been worth the wait. Cannot fault any part of our time there. Will return soon.

Very hard to choose as we just wanted a light lunch. My trout gravadlax was very disappointing, no pickled grapes but diced cucumber instead with no flavour and no explanation! My friend had the goats cheese pannacotta dish which was also disappointing, the heirloom veg were tasteless and very hard, also the pannacotta diluted the flavour of the cheese too much! We have been to salt many times and have always enjoyed but the new menu leaves a lot to be desired. Our waiter dealt with the situation very well but kitchen needs to know!

We brought our Mum for lunch. The white chardonnay by the glass was superb. Food was delicious- duck pate, vegetable fritters, and haddock. Our server was great, but slow to greet us and take drink orders. We were seated at a table near where the orders are dropped off to the kitchen by the servers ,and I felt in the way of traffic somewhat. Would have liked a quieter and less traffic-y location.
Food is superlative and very consistent. Every morsel was delicious. Next time I will insist on better seating,

The staff of Avoca is simply amazing! They make you feel at home and they are extra careful in making sure everything is great! Franck had been absolutely fenomenal, really lovely man to speak with and alleys made sure all was perfect for us. The value is also amazing... Will go back soon for sure! Love Avoca. Thank you all!

A very popular brunch spot, with a nice simple menu based on good quality fresh ingredients. Staff were pleasant and attentive.
The only feedback I would offer is that it is quite noisy ( there is a lot of hard surfacing) and the table we had felt quite squashed in - it is along side the ramp down to the main dining area, so we were constantly being passed by customer and staff legs!
Overall however it was a nice place to have a catch up.

Really enjoyable food and atmosphere.Would definitely recommend to a friend. Food was on time- coffees were good. The only comment was we had a baby with us and there were not enough baby chairs so we had to have the baby on each of our laps which disrupted eating a little bit

Nice brunch - avocado on sourdough however €3.65 for a white flat and €3.90 are overpriced!

Staff was very accommodating to add two more guests to our table. Very friendly, fresh food, great tastes.

Avoca is a firm favourite for us. Always delivers top-quality delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere and really friendly and welcoming staff. You even get to take home the baked goods from the cafe after dinner! Highly recommended

Wonderful dinner for four on Saturday - all courses excellent; the lamb main was a particular highlight. Great attentive service too!

The menu was short but interesting.
Tge fish I chose-Cod was delicious with a nice Romesco sauce plus garden peas.
My wife had lamb which looked excellent and just the right pinkish colour.
We chose an outstanding rose from Puglia which complemented the food.
Finally we shared a dark chocolate mousse with a praline and pistachio addition.
It was really good but light as well.
The service was very good and the servers attentive and most helpful.

Overall good food and nice place. Senior staff efficient. Younger ones ok. I had to keep asking for bits. Also. first time to see €9 for a glass of average wine - felt out of kilter for the establishment.

Everything about Salt is perfect and is of the highest standards. You always know a place is spectacular when you see the same staff still working there!

It was my mums birthday and she’s celiac. The manager and server took very good care of us and helped guide her through the menu choices suitable for her. We felt very well looked after and combined with great food, we had a memorable birthday dinner.
Well done to all the team, we will be returning!

For a lunchtime booking made well ahead of time for 1300 , it would have been nice ( and expected ) that the table would have been already set prior to our arrival...

I am a vegetarian who has had lunch about 5 times over recent months in Salt.
I am really surprised and disappointed that your menu remains the same.
The soup on each occasion has been onion & the veggie main course has not changed & is
not as tasty & interesting as it should be.
I say this as someone who has enjoyed numbers of fine veggie lunches in Mt Usher. We have brought friends there on occasions & everyone ate very good vegetarian dishes.

You need to review your menu & make your veggie main course more delicious.

This is a wonderful restaurant on the crescent in Monkstown. Lovely relaxed seaside town feel and décor, great friendly staff and delicious food. Our kids love the breakfast menu. We nearly always complement our visit to the restaurant with a visit to the deli to bring some items home also. Popular spot so worth booking during busy times even though the staff are excellent in accommodating as many people as they can.

Fantastic lunch for my wife's birthday, with our four girls in tow. food was great - every morsel disappeared quickly, which is not always the case with young children. and they brought extra bread and dips for the girls without us asking or charging us anything extra. and finally, all the staff appeared and sang happy birthday whilst presenting my wife with a Pastel de nata with a candle in it. brilliant!

Over-priced, underwhelming food with bad side orders. Flavours were too strong which is never a good sign. Avoca is obviously trading on its reputation at this stage.

We had a lovely breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The service was excellent and the food both delicious and beautifully presented. I especially recommend the pancakes !

Lovely experience as always, staff are incredible and the food was delicious. Perfect spot for a celebration or just for a treat.

Lovely family relaxed restaurant. Foods great especially children's menu, fresh good quality. Only down side was other patrons browsing shelves full of interesting produce all around us.

Absolutely amazing. We love this restaurant - we went recently for breakfast for my husband’s birthday and the staff was so kind and absolutely made his day!
