We had an excellent meal. Food and service was great.
Will visit again.
The spicy food was very nice but perhaps too much.
Staff were flexible with making adapting the dish and also with our dining time
Aya court has great food, the ambience is also good. I would definitely recommend the Peking duck, it is on the expensive side but is one of the better Peking ducks, if not, the best you will experience.
So if you are looking for great food and are not worried about the price, maybe because it’s a special occasions then it’s a great place for the food. But you will also have to past the unjustified service charge. The service is probably the weakest part of the experience. There is certainly a large room for improvement. They are not very welcoming and do not seem to appreciate your custom. They seem more interested in getting you out of the door once you have finished your meal.
Overall the food makes up for the rest of the review because it is excellent but you will also have to bare the cost, it is a shame the service lets it down as it has potential to be fantastic and if the service was good the cost and the value for money would also improve in turn.
We tried Aya Court on Monday 16th April and everyone was happy and we tried again Thursday 19/April with more relatives. Food & services were equally good. We are all impressed with the food & people.
Our cousin immediately booked for a table to celebrate his 1st anniversary in May.
No doubt we will go back to Aya Court again.
Great recommendation from a friend.
Nice food & service is excellent & friendly.
We are going back there for dinner again this week...
We've been to this restaurant many times but this place creates high level of satisfaction to us every single time .
We enjoyed an absolutely delicious and creative dinner at Aya Court. Everything was perfect: the decor, the attentive and friendly staff, and particularly the beautifully presented food. It was difficult to choose, and we can't wait to return to try other dishes. The BEST Chinese ever!
Moved into the area from London last month glad to have found a decent restaurant. Good choices of beautiful presented dishes with very attentive service.
Having dined here many times, I can honestly say the food and service is getting better and better, the new menu is very extensive and the ingredients are really of a high quality compare to other restaurants which reflex why they are so busy. A big thanks for the complimentary fruit platter for my wife’s Birthday .
Limited menu due to the fact that they do not have any chefs in the kitchen to support the usually extensive menu.
The dishes were served barely warm and most were cold.
The service was extremely poor.
Sadly, this is the third occasion that we have had and service and I will no longer sue them.
AYA Court never fails to impress us. The food is exquisite, never tasted anything as good anywhere else. The white wine is always very cold and of excellent quality. Johnny is always very attentive and excellent, he always has a lovely welcome for us. This restaurant is more expensive than a normal Chinese restaurant, but it is worth every penny. I would highly recommend this place.
The restaurant is bright and modern. The food is tasty, although overpriced and, in some cases, sparse. We had pre-ordered the Peking duck as previous reviews recommended doing so. It was ok, but not as nice as the crispy duck which is traditionally served as a starter. We had 2 plates of meat carved from the duck, the rest being 'added to fried rice'. The bowl of fried rice which we were given by no means contained the remainder of the duck and was insufficient for 6 of us. I've no idea where the rest of the £48.00 duck went! I can only assume that it provided a couple of quarter portions for other diners. Having said that, the salt and pepper squid was great, as was the cod. The staff were polite and attentive but I won't be hurrying back.
Great food with very friendly service. A competitively priced lunch time menu would probably see more lunch-timers attending as the local restaurants generally supply one
Finally a decent chinese outside of London. The Peking Duck is incredible!
Perfect valentines dinner. Great tasting food.
Delightful celebration meal starting with the delicious dim sum and Peking duck (needs to be pre-ordered in advance) followed by a selection of other dishes before finishing with the best sticky toffee pudding we know anywhere. Friendly helpful team led by Tony, as usual. More expensive that other restaurants but nothing comparable for authentic oriental/Chinese food.
No hesitation in commending to anyone wanting a special treat
The service was really good. The food was fantastic. The only thing that took the edge of the meal, was being told that they had shut at 10.00pm on a Saturday evening, while we were still at the table. Who shuts at 10.00pm on a Saturday evening? So go early!
Amazing Chinese restaurant that serves authentic Chinese food with none of the usual nasty additive or MSG. It's not cheap but it is quality.
We have dined at this restaurant many times and the quality of the food/services is consistently good. Also the decor and BGM are to our liking.
We dined regularly in Aya, good food, friendly atmosphere.
Excellent food, quality and presentation not quite 5* but very close. Definitely will return, thoroughly recommended.
Top quality Chinese food at Aya Court. The Peking Duck was exceptional and we enjoyed first class prawn, beef, deep fried asparagus, and dim sum
The food was amazing, especially the Peking Duck, I would highly recommend pre-ordering this. The service is 2nd to none, it is quite pricey but you certainly get what you pay for
Excellent evening with food, ambience and service at a very high standard, the manager took our order and explained each dishes and helped to select a wonderful un-oak Chardonnay. Will return.
Very high quality Chinese food
Very expensive but excellent
Good service! Delicious food, dim sum platter is super yummy.
We went there because they do very good Peking duck in the past (on my first visit in March this year). However, the menu has changed and there were not many choices now. Simple and pricy and salty. I am sorry even the duck was not served as expected standard. They used to cut up and served the duck in front of the table and the pancake was homemaded. And it was a very enjoyable starter that you could not find this in many other Chinese restaurants. Since I had tasted the best, I have felt that the standard has gone down dramatically.
Come to the rest of the meal, I do not think the dishes were impressive at all, very salty.
The worst was the service. I personally did not feel we were very welcome. After the meal, we want to order coffee and were told by the manager the machine was broken. So we said may be we can have tea then, and he was telling us that tea were very expensive in that restaurant. ???? What was that mean? Time to go home, I supposed... I surely did not feel that they were friendly and I do not see that they can run a business like this with this kind of manner. I am sorry I will not be going back.
Nice food, expensive but worth it overall. Staff a little too efficient and emotionless. Bones in £22 Black Cod! Currently attracts an older crowd, perhaps due to prices.
Very pleasantly surprised - had been put off by the odd comment and from visiting the venue when it was a different restaurant.
But its really very very good. Short, clever and varied menu ( not 20 different version of the same thing) and good service.
Didn't get chance to try the Peking Duck - but if its as good as the homemade Dim Sum it will be worth another visit
Very nice modern restaurant, We was sat on the side on our own, near the entrance of the restaurant, so a bit on the cold side with no atmosphere. The restaurant had limited menu, which we was not informed about on the day of booking, or on there website, which was disappointing as most of the dishes were missing. The food though was very nice. Would definitely recommend this place and would go again.
This is what I would call a sophisticated Chinese restaurant, the food is absolutely beautiful and the Peking Duck is the best I have ever tasted. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for so we generally only go for special occasions. The staff are also professional, efficient and friendly.
Yellow very enjoyable evening I will deafly go back
Fantastic experience. The food was amazing. Service was fast accurate. Location brilliant. Free car parking on site. Best Chinese food I’ve had. U have to dine here. 5 stars
Food was amazing, a little bit expensive but definitely worth it
Nice ambience. Lovely decor. A nice welcome from our host. All seemed well. We just went straight for a main course. I had kung Po chicken while my partner had tempura prawns as a main. Both ordered rice which was £5.50 per portion!! Not big either. Now, excluding rice, the prawns were £18 and chicken £15. The batter on the prawns was not as crispy as it should be. Not enough of them either. The chicken was thigh meat which I don’t like and at that price, it was poor. Even average quality restaurants use breast meat. I was really disappointed. To top it off, they lobbed 12.5% service on the bill. I’ll leave a tip if I want, I don’t like it forced upon me, even though I know I can ask for it to be removed.
We went on Monday evening..... there were not much people dining but the food was excellent..... very fresh and good flavours. The service was good too. The ambience was tastefully done with light music. I would definitely recommend this place and would be going there again.
Great food and service! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend the Peking duck (order in advance) , the dim sum platter and the lobster dish. Great service and easy parking outside restaurant.
