The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.
Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

London Restaurant Festival: 5 Course Tasting Menu for 2 people £45
Sharing style Traditional Peruvian 5 course tasting menu for 2
Nice food - great service, great price
Really tasty food. Very slow (but friendly) service. Only 2 members of staff for the whole restaurant. Taking orders, clearing and making the cocktails!
Could do with a few more staff. And more than one cocktail on the menu would be nice!
Our waiter was incredible and the food was spectacular! Fabulous place for a date
Food is overly priced for the quality and quantity they are providing. Seabass grill costed £45 which was ridiculously high priced
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing pisco sours! We had the Traditional Peruvian tasting menu for two, which was delicious. Also ordered a couple sushi plates as well, which ended up being the perfect amount of food for two. The Peruvian pulled chicken was by far my favorite, but all of the main dishes were absolutely delicious!
Easy to find , 1 min walk from the station
Great value money food
High standard food, attentive service. Good vakue for money. Great little find
Food was delicious. Presentation spot on. Everything lovely cooked.
Very happy with the cuisine and the service, coming back soon!
Waiters not wearing masks and come up really close. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Not Covid friendly apart from tables being distanced
The downstairs area which is the more intimate space as pictured was closed so we had to sit with the crowd upstairs in Smith's Bar.
It was bustling with noise (as it's a bar), but I cannot fault the service we were given, every few moments we were checked on whether we needed anything or whether the food was good.
The great thing is that you can actually mix the menu with the standard offering from Smith's as well as the unique fusion of Ayllu.
The smoked octopus is a must have!
Would highly recommend and go again, but just be prepared to sit with the crowd that's just there for Smith's Bar.
great place and great food. will be going back soon
Unsympathetic staff, specially the managers, who even salute us as they approached the table for the first time. The food was utterly poor and doesn’t worth the price.
We had an amazing evening, food was delicious and very unique. We loved the ceviche and grilled octopus! My friend had dietary restrictions and they very kindly prepared a dish meeting all of them just for her.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Amazing service, food and experience. Combined with the Eat Out to help was even better. Ceviche was a bit small but the sushi set with oyster was espetacular
The meal was outstanding & 25% discount came in handy.
Me and my husband visited Ayllu for the first time and it was a very nice experience, chic atmosphere.
Food was the best highlight of our experience. We loved the mix of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines and all dishes were cooked to the perfection.
We were very satisfied and we will be back soon!
Wasn’t even open! Booked via open table, arrived and it was closed. Also looks nothing like the pictures.
so good so far with the discount and food was quick right on time
Really slow service. And the staff were quite stand-offish. Food was ok but definitely not worth the wait.
We started off arriving at the venue not even sure if we were at ‘ayllu’ as it was extremely unclear from the signposting. The cocktails tasted way too alcoholic, not a nice taste. I ordered the ayllu lamb chops but received the grilled ones instead. Very poor service and poor quality food and drink. Would not recommend.
Great ceviche, outside seating, very good service.
As soon as we arrived we were told the restaurant hadn't actually re-opened yet and we'd be eating in Smiths. Although it wasn't a big problem because Smiths is so spacious so plenty of room, it isn't what i'd booked. The pics of the restaurant on the website look like a very different experience and atmosphere to Smiths. I think we should have been emailed upon making the booking to tell us the restaurant wasn't open yet so we could make a decision if we still wanted to come.
1st time eating here, food was very impressive. All dishes we ordered were very tasty. Especially the yellow fin. I think the steak is overpriced for amount of meat you get. In fact I think if I hadn't had the 25% off I would have thought it was a bit too expensive for what we had. Cocktails were nice and 2for1 offer is great. Service was good.
What an amazing experience!
Staff was very attentive and food was delicious.
We especially enjoyed Ceviche Mixto - it's a definite must try.
Delicious food & efficient service.
Will be back!
Absolutely delicious food. Great atmosphere and service. Definitely will be back. Good value for money.
I was very excited to try this restaurant as I love Peruvian food but left a little disappointed. The size of all the portions were quite small and the taste just wasn't there for a lot of the dishes. The steak of the main course seemed a relatively cheap cut and was quite fatty. The ceviche was nice but not amazing and the other dishes such as the tacos we tried were rather underwhelming. I think the croquettas were the best thing we tried so would recommend them.
Nicely decorated restaurant, in a good location and the 50% deal was very good deal. Hopefully it was just a few teething problems as I know its just opened.
