Manchester’s buzzing Northern Quarter is filled with popular brunch spots, restaurants and takeaways. But how about tasting something new?

A kebab worth sitting down for.

We’re talking big flavours, vibrant, natural, locally produced ingredients and succulent cuts of meat. Watch our team of creative chefs make fresh flatbreads, from scratch, in our open theatre-style kitchen. We cook all of our flatbreads on a robata grill, giving each kebab that lovely charcoal flavour.

We know what works when it comes to kebabs and so all you need to do is sit down, relax and enjoy.

BAB is open for comfortable, casual dining 7 days a week, 12pm-10pm.

Overall 2food 2service 4ambience 1

Visited BAB for the first time and was underwhelmed. We were given a table in a pitch black corner, it was drafty with zero ambiance going on, the lights were poor, couldn't see the menu - wasn't great atmosphere for this reason
The food was ok. The meat was excellent but the accompaniments were bizarre. Shredded carrot doesn't go with hangar steak at all, when I gave some polite feedback at the end which i expected to be appreciated, was met with a matter of fact - 'well ask for it without it next time' - I felt this was a bit arrogant for a new establishment which was nowhere near busy on its opening weekend
The hangar steak in the kebab was also huge, so if you prefer to pick up your wrap rather than use knife and form, you will struggle! Again feedback not really taken on this either
The 'greek' fries - completely odd, had a bit of feta and yogurt on them, not really greek tasting just very bland
Lamb bon bons were the highlight and decent priced wine menu available
Toilets leave a lot to be desired and only just opened which was not a good sign or note to finish on.........
The service is great here, but I think they are arrogant about their offering, not listening to feedback and therefore I doubt I'd go back. Real shame.
