Fantastic. Really loved the interior, the ambiance, the food, service, all top notch. Everything is outstanding! Will be back.
Love this place, amazingly tasty food and great ambience
Amazing food but if you want quiet and romantic and relaxing be sure to specify that you do not wish a table plonked in a corridor right beside the dishwasher in the bar. It may ruin the ambiance of your special occasion somewhat.
Delicious food. Really really good. Lovely restaurant and staff.
The restaurant is lovely, however I was a little disappointed by the food.
The mezze options are very limited and are basically made up of different dips for pitta bread. Could do with some more substantial options to compliment the grill choices.
As a gluten free diner - I was led to believe I would receive a gf pitta bread with the mezze however was presented with two slices of half toasted gluten free bread - I was beyond disappointed!
The grill menu is very limited for gluten free options also.
Unfortunately I won’t be returning.
I would thourghly recomend Baba to anyone who loves good quality tasty food. The staff were very friendly and attentive we enjoyed every dish we ordered the restuarant has a warm charm to it beautifully decorated we felt very relaxed and very much enjoyed the overall experience.
Love this restaurant, it was my second time and we sat in the back area next to the fireplace. The decor is lovely and atmosphere perfect for a casual lunch with friends. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.
Wine choice limited and lamb not a available which is very poor.
The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. All we could I'd was talk about after was when we are going to come back!
Fun environment, nice staff, delicious food, good value, easy to walk to
A bomb for the senses. I loved the food, it was my second trip and I tried a different cocktail. I´d stick to the margarita next time though as I was not blown away by the Spritz Special. However, the food really made up for it.
Flavours and colours were stunning. Really enjoyed everything.
Baba was a great lace to discover and we had a wonderful meal. Tastes were sublime. Great choice of dishes. Good service and good value for money.
Delicious flavoursome food in a gorgeous dining space - unlike anything available elsewhere in the city. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food and service really attentive staff
Food was excellent, portions larger than I was expecting. The staff seemed a little fraught and it appeared that they were struggling to keep up. I suspect that they were short staffed but they were always polite and reactive and I felt for them as the place was packed. This is an excellent place to eat good quality North African food in a lovely relaxed environment with staff who try their very best. I would have no hesitation in going back.
The food at BABA was outstanding, they have a huge variety and the service was great.
Terrific! Just love the mezze, delivered with cheerful grace.
Nicely greeted and provision was made for our large suitcase. Had made the reservation the day before and was taken to table immediately by friendly staff. 5 stars for this.
We were left at table with menus for a quite a while which was fine because it was our first visit and needed time to decide. However we we not offered drinks. Waitress came to take our food order and this was when we ordered our refreshments. Ordered, drinks duly arrived as did the food. Food was delicious but an incorrect side order was delivered. It was quickly removed once I mentioned it, but the correct side order never appeared. Coffee was slow to arrive and had to be asked for again. I witnessed a table frantically trying to catch a servers attention to request their bill.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the bill was correct when it arrived. The decor and furnishings fabulously reflected the ethos, but I’m afraid the service was below par for a restaurant affiliated to a prestigious hotel. I’d recommend Baba for the food, but I have to be honest and say the service is lacking.
Would 100% recommend BABA to anyone looking for an enjoyable meal. The service was fabulous, constant refill of water without asking, lovely & friendly staff. Everything we ordered was stunning and was seasoned beautifully. Will defo return.
Fantastic food as usual, it was a Monday night so a little quieter but great all the same!!
Located in a good area. Great customer service, food was amazing but some of the food came in small portions(venison) and the prices were bit too pricey. The mood was calm and welcoming. I would definitely go back again
The food was INCREDIBLE! Great service, great atmosphere and we also really enjoyed the cocktails! Will definitely be back!
Our first visit to Baba, we booked for dinner to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious, every mouthful was like a little flavour explosion! The cauliflower shawarma, the haggis merguez and the lamb were our absolute favourites though. Thank you for a very memorable meal.
Loved Baba. Stunning decor, super-friendly team, great cocktails, lovely mezze dishes - especially the beetroot hummus. I mentioned we were visiting for a friend's birthday and the waitress sorted out a complimentary birthday desert for my friend. A nice touch. Had a wonderful evening all round
Lovely food with quick and good service. Would definitely recommend
Friendly & attentive staff- fab food, delicious!! Great chilled afternoon
Had such a wonderful lunch at Baba yesterday, will definitely be back!
The food is super tasty and the service is undeniably good. The acoustics of the place does mean that it can get quite noisy even if not particularly busy.
The food was generally very enjoyable but woefully small portions (think portion fitting on the palm of your hand). Despite following advice and ordering 7 dishes between 2 we could have eaten more...
Negative marks definitely counted for a few things though:
- Definitely a place for the Instagram culture and mentality, as a result there is so much focus on looks and vibe they don't pay much attention to tidiness and comfort of things like the seats.
- portions far too small, and although you can keep asking for more breads the fact they will refuse to be generous and give you more than one at a time speaks of a certain kind of mean spiritedness.
- other reviews also critique the staff. We had one very nice waiter, but we overheard 2 other members of staff talking about my wife and I in a rather unpleasant and simply rude way.
Overall, while it is enjoyable as a food experience, it is probably better suited for a bacari type snack while you drink cocktails or similar. Definitely too concerned with looks and image and don't pay attention to more substantive things like the satisfaction of the food or having staff behaving in a professional manner.
We didn’t get great service at all and the steak was almost inedible.
Absolutely delicious! We had wonderful service and the Lebanese cuisine was exquisite! We will be back for sure
Everything was excellent but it was a bit too dark. Will definitely be back.
Food was outstanding and the cocktails I had were so tasty. Service was fairly efficient but not very friendly/ personable.
Terrible service . Ruined the evening . Not a single friendly waiter/waitress. Slow to take orders (waited 30min for a drink/ food menu), then got rushed after 70 minutes to pay up and get out because they had a turn around time for the next sitting .
Food is so delicious I can't wait to go back to try more dishes 😋
Fab meal - all good with restaurants
Girl server could have been better.
Guys at next table got the full explanation and some gratis dishes
I feel that if staff are doing this it should be low key …. Would go back
Lovely place with good service , limited menu and quite small portions but good quality food!
Limited menu, low level seating (my knees sat higher than the table itself) overall very poor
