   Baccalà is absolutely fabulous. A true hidden gem. Perfect food, in particular the pasta, but honestly just everything - including the wine selection.

   Our meal was absolutely delicious and our waiter made the most excellent drinks suggestions throughout the evening. We did feel a little rushed at times but had a lovely evening.

   There were 6 of us for a birthday celebration. Good atmosphere throughout and a nice touch they produced a lit candle in a panna cotta. The only real gripe was there were so many wines which were off the menu. Not good.

   Delicious food, a good wine list (including by the glass), friendly and knowledgable service. Reasonable prices. Can't understand why there weren't more lunch customers! (I gather it is much busier at weekends).

   I had high hopes for my Valentine’s dinner at Baccalà, but unfortunately, the experience was frustrating. I booked in advance, requesting a window seat, only to be told a week before that there were no window seats (which was fine, as long as we were seated on the main upper floor). However, when we arrived, we were given a high table near the door—not near a window, and definitely not in the main dining area. This was especially disappointing because it was 0°C with strong winds that night, and every time the door opened, a freezing breeze rushed in. I had to keep my jacket on for most of the meal, which was not ideal for a special dinner. That being said, the food was great, and most of the staff were friendly and accommodating—except for the owner/manager, who seemed annoyed when I asked to have the service charge removed. Given the discomfort and the lack of effort to honor my seating request, I don’t think that was an unreasonable ask. Overall, while the food and staff (aside from management) were lovely, the poor seating arrangement and lack of consideration for the weather really brought the experience down. Would I return? Probably not.

    A great restaurant. Every dish was a hit as was the wine (a lovely Etna red). Charming, warm service too.
