Badmaash Downtown LA
It was great! I’ve been here a few times before and every time it’s a great dining experience.
Amazing! Naan bread with cheese and chili’s was a wonderful starter. Lamb burger is one of the best I’ve had in years.
We here before a play at the Taper. The food is has always been good and this is no exception. We’ve been to India and this food is as good as some of our best meals and in some cases more creative.
Absolutely delicious tastes from puff appetizers to poutine fries to chai-infused pot du creme. Can't wait to go back to try other menu items. However will ask for upstairs seat as I could hear nothing downstairs once it filled up.
Lamb burger was decent but was tiny with no sides, the papdi chaat was presented well but again serving size was small and a bit too sweet, the chana masala was lacking a little in taste. The Bombay sandwich according to our friend from Mumbai was nowhere near what she had on the streets (missing corn) The samosas were fresh and the best. I went here after hearing all the hype, but found it to be overpriced for Indian comfort food, was unimpressed overall.
I almost don't want to recommend it because it's so good and I want to keep it a secret, but they deserve a great review. Excellent all around! They are smaller but make great use of their space and we can't get enough of it. Try everything! SO GOOD!
Food is delicious. Service is great. Definitely recommend
Food is outstanding, all of the staff were very attentive and friendly. Super cute place with original dishes that I am still thinking about days later. Highly recommend!
Third time there and everything was great. Spicy sausage, puff pastry, lentils, chicken poutine, and naan. All were great!
Great place, excellent food, and vibes.! Highly recommended
One of the best restaurants in LA and some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had.
The traditional Indian food was awesome. I didn’t know that in the Frites that it would be a ton of fries but there were. I think they should accent more of their traditional Indian Cuisine compared to the new style.
Loved the food. Easy working with for my food allergies which was much appreciated.
Felt the food and ambiance were just average. Lacked spice.
Being not a fan of Indian food (our friends chose this place from a great previous experience), my husband and I were pleasantly surprised that we loved the food. We ordered the pork belly, beef short ribs, chicken tikka masala, a fish dish, sag paneer, 2 kinds of nan, mango mouse, ice cream sandwiches and non- dairy coconut sweet rice pudding. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back.
We loved it.. great food and a good environment... hosts were wonderful, our waitress, just ok
First time here. Food and ambiance are great. Lamb vindaloo is quite spicy so get the yogurt side! Delicious!
Amazing mix of options for veggie and meat lovers alike, this place is my new go-to to please everyone at the table. How can you not love the roti and naan to sop up the amazing sauces and curries? The service and ambiance was perfect for a birthday get-together as well as a quiet, early weekend dinner with a friend. Highly recommend all around. Must try. Wear your stretchy pants. Get the pickles.
Enjoyed a decent meal where the tikka masala samosas and chutney shined. The fried chicken and chili cheese naan was okay. On the pricier side, but then again it's DTLA. The ambiance is cute, would recommend for a second date.
Badmaash is consistently excellent. The food is outstanding and service is always great. We had the black lentils which in my opinion are the best thing on the menu and a must-have. The chili cheese naan is indulgent, a regular naan will do just fine but this is extra. We also tried the seafood Moilee which had a really delicious mild curry sauce. Got a half plate of pickles which was huge! I can't imagine what the full portion is like.
Great food. Great friends and great atmosphere!
Food was fresh, delicious and actually, beautiful. Service was stellar. A wee bit noisy but we were able to sit upstairs, which helped. Definitely recommend.
An interesting take on classic Indian favorites with a modern, sometimes American sometimes Canadian twist. Highly recommended to anyone that is a fan of Indian food in general.
Great service great food. Alittle on the loud side, but worth the food.
it was good. I love this place. food tastes great and the service was awesome
The Gandhi picture with sunglasses is offensive to Indians
Phenomenal. Indian food tapas style. Will not regret.
Food quality was poor. Eat Indian food all the time and this was so disappointing. Naan bread was burnt in center. Peas inside Samosa were undercooked and raw. Chicken tikka and butter chicken were over cooked - overall just poor. Seated upstairs. Loud and crowded - small tables. So disappointing was expecting much better
Really the best Indian Food in the country. So different, flavorful, and just all around delicious.
Service was great but rushed. Food is Overrated. Ceilings are dingy need a good cleaning
Great food and service. Love all the items we selected. I would defiantly return to try other items on the menu.
Terrific food in nice decor. Nice people and good service.
Excellent service excellent food best Indian food in town
I had heard great things about the restaurant, and it did not disappoint. My guests just loved it.
The restaurant had Brooklyn vibe with great ambiance, but food was lack luster. Portions were small and the flavor lacked complexity, unless you count the surprise burst of spice you got from the whole fennel sprinkled onto various dishes. The dishes seemed light, made with less oil than Indian food I’ve ever had before. Made me wonder, where is the ghee?
Great food amazing service
Great food and super friendly staff. Great experience all around.
Delicious food ! Good service ! Loud & regular ambience ! Value for money!
Awesome experience! Will definitely eat there again!
Best, as usual.
