Badmaash Downtown LA
Always a favorite. Badmaash does not disappoint.
Birthday dinner for friend. The hostess was especially attentive and helpful.
Food was great! Service was great! Small place felt kind of crowded.
Indian food is yummy. Badmaash hit the mark only at times. Interesting choices.
Very good food. Easily accommodates food restrictions. Had been here before. Was excited to go back. It did not disappoint. I will go back.
Ohhhh I love Badmaash. It’s one of the best Indian restaurant in LA. I love their Dal Makhani and dahi puri the most. If you are a vegetarian like me, you can always ask them to replace chicken in the non-veg dishes with paneer. In breads chili cheese naan is a must try.
The food is always outstanding at this creative Indian-fusion restaurant. The tikka poutine is a must. The little yogurt puff ap, samosas, I mean, really everything. Great naan, chicken tikka, the pork dish is also outstanding. Five stars
Food was smaller portioned than normal, noise level was SO loud we had to scream at each other.
Badmaash is energetic with a bohemian atmosphere...loud music, Bollywood posters, movies on the wall, rustic table seating...and a unique, compact menu. Everything is directed more for a younger crowd.
2nd time. Food was amazing. Waitress was terse, pushy and overall didn’t seem to like her role. Definitely put a damper on the evening.
If you have the pleasure of getting Tim to wait on you, you've scored. The food was great. Top it off with the Mango yogurt smoothie (lactose intolerant folks beware)
Great food, great location with easy parking.
Very creative space; upstairs and downstairs.
Very small but ok for lunch.
Great menu with lots to choose from.
Order rice pudding for dessert!
Food was excellent on an absolute scale and on a value scale. Service was poor.
Always great
My girlfriend and I are regulars so it was appropriate for me to take her to your restaurant for a birthday celebration. As always, everything was great!
The food was good but a bit over-priced. Service excellent. The place is SUPER loud. It was very difficult to have a conversation.
The restaurant has an interesting menu, part traditional, part blended cuisine. I ordered the Goa pork, traditional, and it was great. The palak paneer on the other hand was not fresh and the paneer was scarce. My frienf ordered the mussles from the blended menu, and they were a disappointment. they were neither here not there. the naans were very good.
so overall one dish and the naans were good, the other two were “meh”. a three star is good for our experience.
Best Indian food in LA. Their spicy Lamb vindaloo and chicken dishes are Epic.
I mean, the place has "bad" in its name. 30 minute wait even with a reservation. Service was snarky and forgot things we ordered. Food was nothing to write home about and overpriced.
Food was acceptable as was the service. The restaurant although having and okay overall look was much too noisy and the food prices for being a la carte we're too expensive
We enjoyed meeting a friend for dinner after the theater. Food was delicious, service attentive. The saag paneer and yogurt puffs were memorable.
I wish the restaurant would install some sound baffling or other device to lower the decibels so that we could actually enjoy a conversation with each other. The so-called "energetic" noise levels do not make for a welcoming vibe where one wants to linger. But maybe that's the point?
They only make mild food which is kind of annoying for someone who might want to try medium spicy. Everything else is fancy except the food. Hopefully they'll improve in the time to come.
The best Indian food in LA! A true gem!
The food is delicious, appropriately spicy, we especially liked the butter chicken and the cauliflower dish.
Everything we had was excellent!
Can’t wait to eat there again!!
We loved the food so much we ate here twice in 2 days while staying in downtown LA. Got the chicken tikka and another chicken dish with a creamy tomato sauce both times. Delicious! Reasonably priced and open all day. We will def be back next time in LA but plan to check out the WeHo location as we will likely stay there next time instead of downtown. Love this spot and def recommend it.
Always a delight to dine at Badmaash.
Food and service was great, our waiter was well informed with pairing the right dishes, only thing that turned us off was the hostess was a bit too uptight. We get it, she probably deals with uneasy customers, but we asked a simple question and she poorly displayed her answer.
Overall great customer service. The price of certain dishes were really expensive. Maybe having like a light menu or like happy hour were the prices are cut in half.
Was recommended to go there from a vendor. It did not disappoint, everything from the service to each dish was perfect. I would definitely recommend !
Everything we had was good but the best items were the traditional samosas and the tikki masala.
Baadmash is my favorite Indian food restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. I pretty much get the same thing, the butter chicken, but the sag paneer is very good too. It's a big portion so it would be better to share at the table than for 2 people. The naan is great - I prefer the rosemary naan, and I'm not a big rosemary fan, which shows it's the perfect amount of rosemary where it doesn't overpower my tastebuds. You can't go wrong going here for lunch or dinner. I recommend reservations as it's a small restaurant and so you guarantee they will have a table for you.
We came here 3 years ago and decided to come back because the food was so good. It did. It disappoint!
Incredible food. Incredible service. Would recommend this place 10 times out of 10. The poutine was amazing.
Waiter great! Food great! Wine great!
Simply try everything!
It was cool
The food is very good and a bit in the expensive side because we are used to more reasonably priced Indian food. The restaurant is loud but the waiters are actually very fun and engaging. The seating is cramped close together which I think is part of the style but also because the space is not that big including the second floor. The parking is either on the street or around the corner in a public lot. Those are the negatives but all in all it was very good food a little bit pricey and I would go there again if I am downtown.
Always the best.
Disappointed in the service but food was good.
