    Waitress actually said. It’s not very good at all weekend especially if there is a show on nearby. We ordered steak - they were obviously cooked hours previously and were dry and tough. Not as described at all. Would defo not return or recommend.

    We ordered the soufflé, venison, ham hock terrine, bone sirloin, and a dessert platter to share and it was all divine. The staff were excellent, friendly, and professional, and the service was efficient. We couldn't fault it, and we would highly recommend Bank Birmingham. Great location for the Utilita Arena etc as well.

    My husband and I decided to dine at Bank for a roast dinner for the first time. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The Sunday dinner was delicious. Everything came hot and fresh. We will definitely be back when visiting Birmingham.

    The mains were OK, nothing to criticise but equally nothing to rave about. Truffle mac n cheese however was the best I’ve tried, could honestly eat it over and over again. Cocktails were delicious - some of the nicest I’ve tried in Birmingham although a bit on the pricy side. Waiters were absolutely excellent; couldn’t do enough for us and had a very chatty friendly attitude they were really lovely. I was out celebrating and this really made my evening. It was a fantastic experience I had with my best friend.

    Booked a table, on way to table told it’s busy so food will be a while if you want quick order of set menu and by the way you can only have table for 1.45, Not great to be told this before you’ve even sat down. Put me off if I’m Honest

    Great experience at Bank as always. We went for a Sunday dinner and unexpectedly the portion sizes were huge. I opted for the lamb which was a bit fatty for my liking but my friend had the beef which tasted great. The service was 10/10 as Eli and Zaide were very attentive and were great conversationalists. Will definitely go again!

    A Sunday lunch turned into a whole evening out! Table was booked for 4pm, we were seated at 525pm because staff did not book us in when we arrived despite being told on my first enquiry they were ‘cleaning a table ready for us’ We waited an hour between courses and when it did arrive it was luke warm. Awful experience overall

    Worst dining experience I have had, and taking 3 sets of moms for what was supposed to be a nice Mother’s Day meal ended in disappointment for all. Credited our main meals but the damage was already done, would’ve rather had a nice meal and paid full price.every main meal had to be returned to the kitchen. Hours wait for starters, hour and a half for mains 😤

    Waited an hour and a half for our food, waited 25 minutes each time we ordered drinks whilst waiting and eventually gave up and left. They had run out of several food items as well and simply weren’t able to cope. Appalling run restaurant.

    I felt very underwhelmed with the overall service, quality of the food & value for money. Visited on Mother's Day which I pre-booked. Upon arrival was made to wait 40 minutes before being seated. Then another 1 hour 30 mins for our food after ordering. And throughout none of the reception staff and waiters provided any progress updates. The establishment needs to learn how to better manage special occasions as it was evident that they were having difficulties managing their pre-booked guests. For those considering visiting, I strongly recommend avoiding on days like Mother's Day. Only positive was that we received a Mother's day gift which was 20% discount off our next visit. But regretfully I don't think I would visit this restaurant again based on this recent experience.

    Awful. Booked for Mother’s Day. We were sat late to our table even though we obviously had a booking and were on time. With young children this is unacceptable. One being only 9 months old. He was hungry so we booked at a time where we could feed him accordingly. We were pushed into the worst table in the corner away from everything and everyone- maybe because we had children. Who knows? I mean it was Mother’s Day after all, so I’m not sure what they expected. We were told immediately that there was a long wait on food and we should probably order starters to counteract this wait- what? Made no sense at all. I ordered fish n chips. I had no chips with my meal. We were told they were on their way as the fish was set down in front of me. They never came. Complete joke. My Daughter wanted the breaded chicken- they’d run out. When you’re paying good money for food that isn’t even great quality you don’t expect to be looked at as a burden to the wait staff when you ask for condiments. Everything was too much trouble and effort hence why I didn’t ask for my chips again and again. My children wanted dessert but we’d been sat for so long already, we left. I will never ever return. They were short staffed or had been greedy with their bookings. I mean it’s Mother’s Day you can plan ahead for these things ? Ruined our day completely. What was supposed to be a nice experience ended up being awful. Last year was so nice there , they have massively let themselves down because all of these issues could’ve been ironed out ahead of time. Just poor poor service.

    Fantastic evening from the minute we walked on the door. Greeted straight away, coats taken. Shown straight to our table. Lots of space around our table. Waiter acknowledged us straight away and came over to introduce himself. Drinks menu given to us along with food menu. Ordered cocktails to straight with. Drinks appeared very quick and were lovely. Food order given and waiter helped us decide on wine to compliment our food. Wine was a good choice. Starters came in no time at all and were very tasty. Empty plates were cleared very quickly. Mains were outstanding, just the right size. Desserts were tasty also. Very happy with the Price of the meal and would definitely go back. Our waiter was Alam, and he was fantastic. Thank you all

    The starter was dissapointing it was over cooked in oil. Which spoilt the flavour of the food. I feel for £38 it was not great. The ribs were just bone. However the steak was great. Cocktails the glass was so full of ice not even sure there would be more than an egg cup full of alcohol in the glass.

    We visited as a family on a Saturday afternoon before a trip to the theatre. The food was amazing, fresh and very tasty, service was good with no pauses, we didn’t have to wait to ask for more drinks.     My daughters 17th birthday. Our table was given to someone else. Instead of the reception asking for a name, the assumed who I was and sat someone else. Although apologetic, it ruined the tone because the table they gave to someone else was overlooking the water. They got my daughters order wrong and forgot a side. I advised the waiter it's my daughter's birthday, does the occasion show on the system and he said "buy a desert and I'll put a candle in it". Don't mean to sound pretentious but the Ivy would never. It's clear it's all about money here and not experience, however, the food was lovely though.

    The food and staff were excellent-we will return. The only comment I would make and this is for people to be mindful of, is that we purposely over ordered extra sides in order to be able to take food away with us - but when we asked for take out boxes they advised they did not supply them -we should have asked I suppose before ordering but this was a shame as we left an awful lot of food which was wasted.

    I would like to say how amazing the staff are, we had Sunday lunch and my mum choked on her beef, and luckily another customer assisted her and saved her life, the women working at 1pm 25th February were absolutely brilliant in taking care of her and me. We will definitely be back.

    First off, I can't complain about the food, it was beautiful. However, we got there, and we were seated and told that they would bring us a drinks menu, we waited 25 minutes and flagged a waiter. He said our waiter would be over shortly. Eventually, the lady with bobbed hair and a black dress came over and said she would find our server. We waited and waited until she came back and took our order then left, an hour in and another waiter came over and asked for our order we explained we had ordered and the lady with the bobbed hair took it he went and asked her and an hour and 15 minutes in we had a drink. We decided to order a bottle of wine with the food as the service was shocking. The music was far too loud, and the server in the black dress and bobbed hair was just dancing around. Wouldn't go again or recommend it as the food was amazing but the atmosphere was rubbish and for the price you pay you would expect better.

    The waiter was very pleasant however he was constantly hanging around our table which made us feel like we were being rushed. He would lean over our food to pour the water which was not necessary. If anything ask if we want to be topped up in which we would have done it ourselves. When the lights were dimmed at 5.45 it was to dark. The £15 tip we declined and gave £5 yes if we were a large party but we were not. I’ve been coming to the Bank for around 20 years and I still would rate your Restsurant as one of the best in Birmingham.

    We've been coming to Brindley Place for years, but this was our first time at Bank. It will certainly not be the last! Four of us spent two very happy hours at a table overlooking the canal, served by charming friendly staff, and we enjoyed a fabulous meal. We can't praise Bank more highly!

    The service we received was below expectations. The server was unpersonable and when I said my rice was undercooked said that ‘oh you don’t like it al dente’ which was confusing as rice needs to be cooked. The cod for main was stunning albeit a small portion, overall for the price we were a little bit dissapointed.

    Great place to eat. Abraham in the bar was great - chatted to us whilst making cocktails. Victoria served us in the restaurant and was fab - even took the time to chat through some wines “Illusion”. Both members of staff are a credit to the team.
