Food is okay and a nice range of different dumplings but nothing stand out and prices are very high - £12 - £18 for a single basket. We spent £200 between 4 including a single bottle of house wine and left hungry. Disappointing as I remember this place for China Town some ten years back when it was cheap, tasty, fun food.

The food was wonderful and good value for money. I made a reservation for 6 people (in the end it was 5). On the OpenTable email confirmation it said we would have the table for 2 hours for a group of 4+. However we had been there for less than 90 minutes before we were being hassled to leave. We had finished our food but not our drinks. We were actually considering ordering something extra before they brought us the bill when we hadn't asked for it. In the end I think we stayed for 1hr 40mins and the waiter was adamant that the table was only for 90 minutes. It felt very rude and spoiled the experience a bit.

Very good food as always, but it's become rather confusing to order with multiple menus instead of one as before. Separate tick-sheets are needed to order from each menu and drinks, which as well as being a hassle feels like a waste of paper – either everything should be ordered on one sheet, or staff could use notepads? Still a charming restaurant with excellent food but feels a little disorganised!

I have visited Baozilnn twice now and each time it has excelled my expectations. The food is absolutely lovely and the quality is so high, the service is always quick and the ease of ordering ensures that you can really get the most of your outing with your friends. I would highly recommend it here and I can’t wait to go back.

Food was delicious, got the chicken wontons, chicken dumplings, chicken and prawn chili sui mai and some others. service was very very quick, everyone was very friendly. only thing i didn’t like was i couldn’t order bao bun platters w/o pork, and they didn’t serve singular bao buns after 5pm

The service and food was good. The dan dan veg noodle was horrible, please don’t eat it. As soon we had put the first bite, we started getting some tingling feeling. Dumplings - 4/5 Fried rice - 4/5 Veg and non veg gravy - 4/5 Pork gravy - 2/5 ( pork was super chewy)

We had seven dishes and all of them where horrible, some we simply could not eat. One sticky sauce coverd all of them. Worst chinese food I ever had and I love chenese food. The rooms in the back are windoless, charmless and smell, the toiliets are a humiliation. Please do not eat here, do not ruin your evening as we did. Never ever again!!!!!

Expensive for what you got, but the food was good and the service was without fault. The biggest issue for me was the restaurant itself, small, uncomfortable, and the walls adorned with Chinese communist propaganda.

The service charge had already been added to the bill. However, when we paid by card, we were asked - on the card reader - to add a service charge from 15%. If we hadn't noticed this, we would have paid a 25% service charge in total! This is not fair. Everything else was great, food and ambiance

This is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is absolutely incredible and I have never had a bad experience here. The only thing I’d say is it is a little pricey but oh my god is it worth it.

Service was very rude. Food is over priced and ambiance is seriously lacking. The beef brisket was inedible as it was 90% fat and when I mentioned this to the waiter he talked to me like I was ignorant and blamed me for not knowing that the local custom is to eat “fatty beef”. Also we were literally ushered out of the restaurant and honestly there are many better Chinese restaurants in London that are far better value and offer better food.

We were placed in a cute room at the front of the restaurant which had a nice cosy atmosphere, although it might not suit those that want a bit more space to spread out! The service was great, the waiting staff were friendly and gave you tips on how to enjoy the food.

The food was generally good - the steak skewers , spare ribs as well as the dumplings were excellent. The char siu was overcooked and rather dry. A table in the main room by the street would be preferable. Our table was somewhat cramped but the restaurant is a labyrinth, so I guess you have to be lucky to get a decent table.

Should have looked at the drinks menu before booking. Lots of juices, only tea was green tea bags. A Chinese restaurant that doesn’t have different flavour teas is probably aimed at the tourist market. Bao were very good, although only sold as mixed platters. We’d probably have ordered more if we could have chosen our favourites. Some of the fried dumplings were well done. Vegetables were nicely cooked but sauce was bland. Mabo Dofu was very poor - gooey sauce poured over tofu. Service was efficient, you tick the boxes on the menu and push a call button for service, food arrived hot. Clue was in the name, I guess, stick with the Bao and you’ll be fine.
