At Baqueano we opt for an authentic, simple, and emotional gastronomy made with fresh, top-quality ingredients. Our menu is based on four classic Argentinian products: meat, dulce de leche, yerba mate, and Malbec wine. Our dishes are nourished by all those traditional and unforgettable recipes from our Argentinian parents and grandparents.

We only work with the best meat. Coming straight from Argentina, all our meats are grass-fed Angus-breed that stand out for its softness and juiciness. This comes from the Angus’ infiltrated pockets of fat. Our meat goes through a 45-day wet-aging process that involves packing the meats in plastic bags and vacuum-seal them in their own juices. During this process, the plastic doesn’t allow the meat to breathe and the enzymes in the trapped juices break down between the muscle fibres, increasing tenderness. In addition, there is no moisture loss, making it fresher and juicier.

I never tire of visiting Baqueano. The welcome and service from Adriana and her team to the consistently outstanding food that is delivered to the table. Their wine selection is amazing also. If you haven’t been, shame on you!

We visited on Saturday evening and were so impressed. Absolutely gorgeous fillet steak, fabulous service, extremely friendly and attentive staff plus a really good bottle of Malbec. We would highly recommend dining here

This was our late valentines meal and it was perfection. We couldn’t fault a thing on our plates, or the service. Dinner was delicious, the steak was amazing and those trio of dips were wonderful. The service so warm welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

It would have been 5 stars ⭐️ all the way, the restaurant was lovely, staff very welcoming & attentive & the food was beautifully cooked & presented. The main issue we had was a very drunk male who’s behaviour was atrocious ruined the latter part of our birthday celebration & had I been the owner/manager I personally would have intervened & asked him to tone his language & behaviour down as other guests were feeling uncomfortable. Sadly it left us feeling a little let down & a headache for us due to the loudness of the other unruly table.

We had a fabulous evening with good friends over superbly cooked steak (and equally good starters and desserts), washed down by a gorgeously smooth bottle of Malbec (and a few other drinks). This was our first visit - it certainly won’t be our last. The service and whole ambience of the evening was excellent and welcoming.

As always, great evening at Baqueano. Excellent service and fabulous food. Definitely one of the best places for steak in Brighton. It’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. We didn’t mention our special occasion as we didn’t want a fuss but everyone gets superb treatment here, so we were very happy.

We really enjoyed our meal there. The sirloin steak and red wine was a match in heaven! The staff were lovely and we had a great time!
