Bar Crispin is an all-day restaurant & wine bar on Kingly Street, Soho, designed by Jermain Gallagher. Offering low intervention wines & seasonal sharing plates, it is a place for any occasion.

Our chefs are lead by Fabien Spagnolo (ex Frenchie, Pollen St Social, The Corner Room & Casa Fofo), with a wealth of experience he respects each ingredient, allowing us to celebrate great local producers & creating memorable experiences. The menu is broadly European inspired, focussing on locally & sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers, small-scale farms & producers (think crispy polenta, croquettes, organic British vegetables, sustainable seafood, classic cuts).

Dishes were well priced and tasty (would recommend about 6 plates between 2) Wines by the glass were slightly on the pricier end Service was fine - there was an incident where the wait staff brought out a plate of food with her thumb in the sauce and just walked off

Mixed review here because I LOVED the flavour of some of these dishes and the creativity and execution. The Pork with carrot hot sauce was unreal. The cuttlefish risotto with all the crispy bits was amazing too. The points deducted were really for the service. I was on time (my friend within 5 minutes) and it took a really long time for the food to come out but our time slot remained the same. Now I totally understand bookings (i'm a chef and my husband a Somm.) but if the food takes ages you can't come early into a booking a mention you'll need the table back soon. Either the new booking needs to be told to wait a bit OR the current booking needs their food on time: one or the other. We both felt a bit rushed and in the end we were told that the booking was running late and we could stay..but honestly if you are going to be okay with 20 plus minute lateness then don't rush your current tables. Also I ordered a Vesper martini that arrived in a tiny ice-filled glass with no lemon twist. Not great.. Id say pop other options on the menu if you don't have the glassware for martinis. Perhaps an Old Fashioned or a whisky list instead.. LOVE this Chef and have followed them for a while on socials. Points for the food but very low points for service and bar...

We visited Bar Crispin for a special occasion, expecting a standout experience given its high-end reputation. While the food was beautifully presented and tasted great, the service was very disappointing. Our waiter made us feel unwelcome, setting a negative tone for the evening. When I approached the bar to add an item to our order, I was met with complete silence, which felt awkward and unprofessional. The food was also placed silently on the table, with no interaction or explanation, which only added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. To top it off, a £10 service charge was included in the bill, which felt unjustified given the lack of basic hospitality. Service is a key part of dining at this level, and unfortunately, it was a letdown that overshadowed the quality of the food.

Fantastic little spot. I'd say perfect for a second or third date. LOVED the margaritas. Food isn't hugely filling, so you end up spending a little bit more than you'd expect - but the prices are fair and the food is high quality. Big fan of this place.

Our server was so brilliant (she gave us a heads up about the potential ‘chicken stock’ aftertaste of a certain wine - thank YOU!😭) the wine and food also and the whole team were so welcoming and sweet

Seated and then told to move to a table that I could barely get into my seat. The guy who greeted us didn’t have a clue what was going on… The one dish we wanted they had run out of and it was only 6:30 and not a very big menu. The wine was definitely not a full pour! Shame because I was so excited…
