Bar Crispin is an all-day restaurant & wine bar on Kingly Street, Soho, designed by Jermain Gallagher. Offering low intervention wines & seasonal sharing plates, it is a place for any occasion.

Our chefs are lead by Fabien Spagnolo (ex Frenchie, Pollen St Social, The Corner Room & Casa Fofo), with a wealth of experience he respects each ingredient, allowing us to celebrate great local producers & creating memorable experiences. The menu is broadly European inspired, focussing on locally & sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers, small-scale farms & producers (think crispy polenta, croquettes, organic British vegetables, sustainable seafood, classic cuts).

    Fabien Spagnolo brings us a special NYE set sharing menu at Bar Crispin. Our wine pairing option will feature team favourites and some one-off special bottle openings from our cellar, and to kick-off your celebrations in style we will be pouring Charles Dufour Bulles Des Comptoir Champagne. Food menu £65 (food only, sample below) Duck liver crumpet Scallops, Champagne beurre Blanc, trout roe Grilled octopus, beef fat, crème fraîche Guinea fowl, foie gras, vin jaune sabayon Mint and cucumber granita, milk I/C, mezcal Chocolate financier, white chocolate ganache, yoghurt I/C We won't be able to cater for a dietary requirements for this occasion, each reservation has 2 hours and we close at 11pm.     Nice venue with a good vibe and food was tasty but in my opinion the amount of food versus value was ridiculous. I left feeling hungry and the wine was very expensive too and not that amazing for the price!

    The food here is amazing and the service is superb. We tried so many amazing dishes and it exceeded all my expectations. Would deffo recommend you come here and try the food, lots of new stuff I hadn’t had before and it was great quality. We had a chef in our party of 4 and he also said the food was amazing. Only thing is that it really is small plates, so do think it is a tiny bit expensive for the potion, but hey ho - that’s London I suppose…

    We did not received everything we ordered. The service was slow and the restaurant not really clean. The food was not good and portions really small. I would not recommend.

    I had the most amazing birthday meal at bar crispin. The service was so attentive and nice. The atmosphere was so good too and the food was exquisite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    It's quite pricey so don't come very hungry haha. But the wine was fantastic and so was the service! I'd recommend this place more for drinks with nibbles rather than a full meal

    Wine was nice - food was adventurous but not particularly well-executed (dry pork-belly, confit cuttlefish fish lacked something despite sounding exciting..), would expect more for the price, fun ideas were there just not translated to the plate. Come for a glass of wine and friendly service but perhaps pass on the food.

    Pretty average expected more. New waiter was nice but had no idea at all. Not trained on menu and must have been his first time waiting. Didn’t recommend anything and our food was all over the place.

    Ambiance inside is lovely and wine selection looked great. I had a decent cocktail — pre-batched — and plates of food that sounded great but we’re just fine, especially for the price. Really didn’t love how the server preparing my drink and handling my plates declared “I’m so sick!” to his colleagues — sat at the bar I could overhear their banter. TLDR: cute to pop in for a glass of wine if you’re in the area, for all else, other spots do it better.

    We booked a table for 6 outside as it was the only table available on the night we were in London. Staff were fantastic when we asked if we would be able to move table to somewhere with a little more space. Food is fantastic and great value as is the house wine. Great spot to sit outside in London we will definitely be back.

    Food was very tasty, definitely the strongest part of the dining experience. Good range of small plates for sharing and they came out at a good pace. The service was ok. Waitstaff were polite, but a little disengaged and not very warm. I usually expect a bit more attentiveness in smaller wine bar style restaurants, particularly at this price point. Wines by the glass were a little underwhelming. The whites on offer were lovely but the red selection was a bit bland. They had also sold out of two of the available five reds by 7:30pm on a Tuesday! Overall, I would go back as the food was great, and the ambience lovely. I just do think there is some room for improvement.

    Very confused flavours, which simply don’t work with each other. I love a small plates situation but the portions are tiny for the price. Lovely wine selection but once again quite overpriced.

    Service second to none. Loved the food, plenty of variety on menu, extensive wine list. Thought it was very expensive especially for a few of the veg dishes. £9 for 2/3 tomatoes in a tomato salad. Tasty but certainly should have been priced at closer to £5. £135 for 6 small plates and a wine at the lower price bracket. Would have been happy to pay £100.

    The atmosphere and the staff were amazing at bar crispin. Everyone is so lovely and extremely knowledgeable about the wines being sold. The food is sharing plates, but it is very small and not many veggie and vegan options

    Nice ambience but not exactly comfortable. Wine list starts around 60 for anything half way decent, not well balanced at all. Mark up seems higher than a lot of better locations. Food is well cooked, inventive but not sensational. Had a nice time with friends but I’m unlikely to go again.

    I put moderate on noise as probably we were liveliest table but equally there were couples and bigger groups too. Outstanding find - cool venue, small but great decor. Food was inventive, delicious and quick. Will definitely be returning - didn't know it before so googled places in the area. Nothing is cheap in London any more so frankly when I do go out, I want to eat good food and decent wine that is not overhyped. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Top marks.
