Fantastic warm evening outside. Wonderful food. It was part of the eat out to help out, so a little cheaper that usual, but the food is always highly quality and wine is excellent !
Excellent food, very friendly staff who know the wine menu and can make great recommendations to suit food and weather.
Excellent food and drinks with great service!
Amazing and authentic food! Very chilled and relaxing vibes. Second time back in a week!
I love Bar Douro, from food to wine everything is amazing
Our first visit and our last. We ordered croquets which were average to say the least, ham which was tasteless, octopus which was overcooked, tomato salad which you can make at home better in 2 minutes and a pork sandwich which was the only dish with some flavour. We were surprised that no one asked how we found the food bring first time guests to the restaurant. After we paid our bill we asked for the manager and we were shocked that it was one of the ladies that served us during the meal. She justified the bad service using hot weather as an excuse. She further commented that the kitchen might have just had a bad day. There are much better Portuguese restaurants near by. What a waste of money and such an anticlimax.
A great place for outdoor eating on a warm day. Delicious Portuguese food and wine and excellent service
Was a amazing experience. Good place, good vibes, good service and the food... wow... perfect!
So good to be back. Plenty of outside space means it is perfect for a summer's evening in these strange times. The food is as good as ever, and the Alvarinho Contacto is very well worth trying. Or ordering a case of! Service was as attentive and friendly as ever, and the bill surprisingly modest. If you haven't been you're missing a treat.
Really excellent food. We went there after visiting the Tate and had a fantastic selection of tapas. Highlights were the empanada, croquettes and beef cheeks. Freshly made dishes with tons of flavour. Their outside space is perfect - enough space to social distance in an airy environment. Highly highly recommended.
Food was nice. Service was friendly - often had to get attention of staff for drinks
Very good. Although as a vegetarian I wasn't able to delve into what seemed like a very tasty and diverse menu. Quite good for vegetarians and according to my partner, very good for meat eaters.
Lovely staff member came outside onto the street and helped us find the restaurant!
There was a very hostile staff member taking our orders, it made the whole experience uncomfortable and we definitely left early and ordered less than we would have as a result of her attitude.
Amazing food. The croquettes in particular do not fail to deliver!
Lovely venue and delicious tapas style foods. The bifana is an absolute must!
Really wonderful experience- fab to be able to sit outside. Staff were attentive, and the food was fantastic.
Amazing food and wine, perfect for dates or small groups.
So accommodating! Great experience
What a great night. Food was delicious of course, service gentle and informative and the quiet vibe was just what I wanted.
We had the sardines, beef cheeks cured pata negra ham and the courgettes followed by the burnt cream and strawberry. Everything was beautifully seasoned and presented artfully Obrigada sempre. X
Amazing food, delicious wine and great service.
Really good small plates of Portuguese cuisine.
Lovely staff and heaters outdoors made it feel covid safe and cosy
1st dinner out post lockdown - Douro has unsurprisingly kept up its standard. Obviously it’s a different vibe but would have thoroughly recommended before and would do so again
The food was delicious with a great variety of different dishes at reasonable prices
The food was tepid, like it had been reheated. We sent it back but didn’t receive much of an apology just an offer of a replacement which was not up to the standard we had the last time we visited. It was very expensive for the standard of food and service we received and the staff were very unenthusiastic and inattentive.
I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent visit to Bar Douro London Bridge. We are very proud of our dishes which we have worked hard to develop. These are always cooked to order using high quality, fresh produce. Our staff have been working incredibly hard to reopen our restaurant in this very difficult time and every one of them is passionate about what they do. We always welcome feedback from our customers and we will try and improve on the points you have raised.
Love the food, bifana with fennel was really tasty. Going back for the sardines soon.
Lovely outdoor seating area too!
The best Portuguese food in London. I high recommended
Amazing food, great chef, good service and nice atmosphere
Food was fantastic, so nice to visit this place - we've been wanting to try it for a long time and it was the perfect way to celebrate the lockdown easing measures. Great to see hand sanitizer available and the tables a bit further apart. One thing I'll say is the servers got a little bit close when taking orders and serving food considering they weren't wearing masks - I wouldn't have minded so much had they been wearing protective gear. Equally, I don't think any restaurant is going to get it 100% right from the get-go and I think they're doing a great job re-starting their business given all the changes they've had to put in place. Very happy to support Bar Duoro and looking forward to returning!
Monday 16th March
Great knowledgeable service. Delicious food and a nice selection of interesting dishes. Loved the snacks, octopus and prawns with extra bread for the sauce. Pigs cheek so sweet and succulent and my favourite Nata. Great Portuguese wine selection showcasing many unknowns of good quality. Be bold and go with the recommendation of your not sure. This is my second visit and can’t wait to go back. We went for my Portuguese friends birthday as she couldn’t make it to Portugal because of the flight chaos and she was really well looked after by the 2 guys running the floor. One French guy and one Italian guy with a zz top beard. You know who you are. THANK YOU for your top service.
Bosses if your reading this please open one in west London
Overall a very pleasant experience. Definitely order the mushroom rissole, braised pork and the onglet! Skip the polenta (lacking flavor in my opinion), save space for good value Portuguese wine.
A welcoming place with a very good service. We ordered Octopus, chicory which were good. Steak was over done, so didn't like it that much.
This was about my 4th time here and it was the most disappointing. The menu had changed a lot and I just didn’t enjoy the dishes so much. A shame for a place I usually enjoy a lot.
The garlic prawns are soooo tasty! As are the wild mushroom rissoles 🤗
Amazing food and good service as I have come to expect from this place. Highly recommended!
Great food, great service, great experience in an authentic Portuguese restaurant - would highly recommend
We sat by the bar and watched the chef prepare the food. Everything we had was delicious, especially the prawns and the bacalao al bras. The custard tarts with cinnamon ice cream were amazing. Definitely will need to go back for more!
Superb, food was outstanding. Staff are more than helpful from answering to offering advice on choices.
Won’t hesitate to return.
Very good food and wine. Attentive service. The dessert I had was ok (pastel de nata) not very impressive.
The food was amazing! Really tasty food that made me want to go back there again. Staff was friendly as well and we could eat and digest without any rush. The restaurant was clean and good space outside. It will be nice eating at outside area in summer!
Informal place for great food. You dine at a counter which is cosy but the food and atmosphere is very good. Will be back.
