    The food here is sensacional. I’m Portuguese and was worried the food wouldn’t live up to the memories I have of back home, but every single dish we had blew me away. They also have a great selection of wines and spirits. The restaurant itself is small and can get quite noisy when busy. We sat outside and whilst it was a chilly night, they had heaters and blankets which made it bearable. Couldn’t recommend enough!

    Very nice portuguese restaurant, great options to share and a nice wine selection. The croquetes de alheira were my favorite and for sure I’ll be back for more.

    A nice little spot to have drinks and dinner. If you can, I would recommend trying to book a table inside. I know the stools are a bit uncomfortable from a previous visit and outside tables are OK with the heaters but you get the noise from bars nearby and miss out on the ambiance from inside Duoro. The food was pretty tasty. The black pig ham was melt in your mouth, and the salt cod fritters were by delightful. Also worth a mention is the onglet steak with an amazing sauce. The service was top class, our waiter / possibly the manager, was very intuitive - there when needed but not too intrusive. It was a lovely evening well spent.

    Really tasty small plates of food with some unusual offerings. We particularly enjoyed the beef cheeks with cauliflower puree. Excellent and distinctive portuguese wines. Lovely tiled interior and attentive staff. We would have preferred no background music or a different choice.

    Sat at the window seats as a group of 4. Excellent food choices very well presented and timed well, so dishes did not go cold and fitted onto table. Took benefit of the Sunday night wine promotion - first bottle a little disappointing and second probably pricier than one would have expected.

    We sat at the bar facing the cooks, which was a great decision. Everything we tried was fabulous—would especially recommend the cabagge, prawns and cod fritters. The organic wine was also really good (although a bit overpriced £10) and desserts great as well (try the pastel the nata and egg yolk flan!)

    Overall a positive experience, on arrival the manager was warm and professional, our waitress was friendly and smiley and took our order promptly. Food was fast, well presented and delicious. In my opinion value for money has room for improvement, I understand the cost of goods is rising, however considering the food ordered, I found the final bill slightly steepy, also I’d like to see the menu changing more often in order to motivate me to visit regularly.

    Magnificent. Service from Vanessa was excellent as always and the food and wine are exceptional. Stand outs are the Bacalhau a Bras and Pork neck & Bifana sauce but all the dishes are great. Our favorite Bankside spot.

    Great sharing dishes with excellent flavors and quality products! Also nice wines (if you happen to go there on Sundays, they have great deals on Portugese wines by Festa). Make sure to make a reservation. All indoor seating is on bar stoels. If you choose the counter, you have a front row view of an energetic chef in the kitchen!

    Very good Portuguese restaurant with a small tapas-style menu - however that meant that in one sitting you order pretty much everything from the menu. Hope this menu is changing frequently as would love to go back and try something new.

    Great little restaurant with authentic tapas Portuguese food. Great friendly attentive service and a nice selection of Portuguese wine. Counter-type seating so more suitable for a cosy couple than a big group, although there is more seating outside. We followed our tapas with the cheese selection and it was fantastic. Would definitely come back here!

    The cod fritters were cold and soggy, the croquettes good but not enough even with a tapas concept, the seafood feijoada an expensive let down at £15 each, the egg yolk dessert was tasteless (lemon sorbet was good) the chocolate mousse was average. The rose' was ok. Best thing the staff but bill at £108 for two, plenty of good other choices in London. Not worth it, lots of hype, not enough good food to justify it.

    Ambience marked down slightly for the drinks at the next table when we arrived. Thankfully they didnt stay long and Ines our waitress dealt with them courteously but firmly. The wine was exceptionally good value and the food was interesting and prepared beautifully. My one suggestion is that the seafood dishes all had a shellfish element making them off the menu for me (allergic) I would have loved the sea bass but the mussels made that impossible. A lovely evening despite the rain. Will definitely recommend and will visit again

    Great food, super nice staff and the square where it’s located has been renovated and looks very nice too. I would defo recommend it, ordering tapas to share. Also bread with olive oil was delicious

    I'd wanted to try Bar Douro for a long, long time, and it lived up to expectations. All six plates we ordered between the three of us were delicious, the wine very quaffable, and the staff just a delight. Can highly recommend.
