Very pricey! £12 for 4 large prawns and £11 for small amount of octopus. Nice wine and service. Too expensive to go back 😩
Helpful staff, friendly chefs and great food in a setting with character
My wife and I had separate commitments in the evening so we went to Bar Douro for a late lunch. It was my first visit and I was seriously impressed. We had totally different meals and everything was outstanding. Great value too with the January 25% offer.
Food is fantastic and the service is friendly. It never disappoints.
Good food as usual always enjoy an visit to Bar Douro
Bar Duoro is a beautiful place with very friendly and helpful staff. The service was great, we didnt feel rushed at all. great wine list and if you like pork, plenty of choice! I am a vegetarian and I could have done with more vegetarian choices - there were some but more would have been great. I would def go back and have already recommended it to people.
A happy find, an authentic Portuguese tapas restaurant. You can opt to be seated watching the two chef's working hard to make your food fresh right in front of your eyes.
It is late December but this goes down as one of my favourite meals of the year. We sat at the bar and watched the chef's going about their work while eating some delicious food and sharing a bottle of reasonably priced vinho verde. Highlights from the menu were: the smoked Portuguese sausage croquettes, the octopus, the cumin carrots, and a lamb special that was on - honourable mention for the saltfish hash and the grilled grail.
A terrific ambience and excellent food. I really very strongly recommend Bar Douro.
Booked ahead - 2 bar seats for a late lunch. Busy and noisy. Service was efficient and friendly, food was small portions and bite sized from the lunchtime menu. Everything we chose was delicious. The red wine (Churchill) was good too. Our Portuguese-speaking waiter kindly brought us cinnamon to sprinkle on the pastel de natas. Decor is light and bright with lovely tiling, marble-topped bar with high bar stools. a good choice for a light and tasty lunch.
Exceptionally good food and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended !
We went to Bar Duoro for my girlfriend's birthday. We sat at the bar, overlooking the kitchen. Service was quick and informative. Food was great!
A splendid taste on the Portuguese culture. Authentic dishes and great wines to match. Love the tiles and bar seating. It's a small place, so make sure you book a table ahead of time!
First visit but will be back. Great food and wine and excellent service
Gambas are excellent
Great evening and service 😄
Lovely food and friendly service! Always have great time at Bar Douro.
Really relaxed spit, great food, good wines and really, really friendly staff
The food here was absolutely delicious and we both really enjoyed our evening
Tastier than Spanish tapas, prioritising good ingredients, friendly and engaging staff, lovely azulejos and bar seating, a bustling and very good atmosphere
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and a delicious meal with just the right quantities. Sharing and social.
Great vibe and bar dining for couples either lunchtime or after work.
We wanted a pre-theatre dinner for 4 people and this proved to be an exceptional dining experience.
Food was great quality and menu offered range of different things to try
Fantastic food! With an small menu. Very friendly service. I’ll be back 😊
My newly found fav place in London Bridge area. Every dish is a joy.
Great food and service ! Will definitely come back and recommend to friends !
Fantastic food, wine and service. My second time there and never fails to impress. Obrigada!
Amazing, authentic Portuguese dishes with hospitality to match. Dishes are on the pricey side - where it's tapas style recommending 2-3 dishes per person and meat/fish dishes at around £12
The food wasn't great. The bacalhau was too oily and the pork was rare in the middle. The service is not amazing either, I'm planning to go there again. They are trying to sell this as a Portuguese restaurant but it isn't really.
Excellent Portuguese dishes prepared right in front of you. Warm, friendly ambience and good service. Nice selection of wines. Great for a cosy lunch or dinner.
Two of us had a great time here, were able to make a last minute same-day reservation and sat at the bar. We enjoyed watching the cooks - one in particular was very animated and funny. Wine selection was great and food was excellent. No faults! We will be back.
Amazing food and outstanding service. They even overheard we were celebrating a birthday and brought a small treat with a candle. Looking forward to going back!
Nice atmosphere, unfortunately very small portions and not good value for money. Even with 7 tapas between two of you you’ll go home hungry. More like a snack than a proper dinner.
The service was warm & friendly, the food was delicious (I could have eaten 6 of the little pork sandwiches), the space is great and it was great value.
Really enjoyed a good mix of freshly prepared dishes in generous portions. Top notch chef and attentive service with good wine recommendations
I went there for a late Girls lunch on a Saturday. I was surprised at first with the bar seating inside the restaurant and was worried we would not be comfortable enough. But we end up staying more than 3 hours. The food was delicious, the wine card is not too bad either and it’s all reasonably priced. You have to try the salt cod fritters, octopus and roasted squash, these were my favourites. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful food, friendly service, fabulous time as always.
Great evening with good food and drink, felt a long way from London.
We tried this place prior to a visit to Lisbon, was a lovely relaxed evening and will definitely go again
Cute little place with great food and wine, however make sure you book; we saw loads of people being turned away!
