This tiny, tucked-away-in-a-corner bar has a true Spanish flavor. Lovely place to meet and have converstaion – however you will be competing with the patio full of people spilling out of Camino next door. Still worth going. It is costly. But in my opinion you get what you pay for.
We had a lovely drink and few munchies - was a lovely tucked away little watery
Great experience tucked away by Camino in Kings Cross - in particular the excellent and efficient service from the 1 front of house manager and 1 chef. Will be back to try another sherry flight
Took my boyfriend to Pepito for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. The waitress was great at recommending dishes and wine, ambiance was great even though it’s such a small space, felt so relaxed. I’ll be back!
I love pepito and go regularly. This most recent experience was disappointing though. The staff looked disinterested in their customers and annoyed and put out when asked for a menu, to order etc. They were busy talking to each other and were distinctly hostile. Disappointing and would make me question if I would go back.
Really charming and such a quiet spot considering the busy neighbourhood it’s in! Great for pre-dinner drinks. Only disappointment was that the kitchen was closed so not all the food options were available. Wish we had been told this when we booked.
Except the very garlicky pan con tomate you can’t go wrong for a date :)
Great original and atmospheric bar. Nice staff and average tapas . Interesting Sherries very expensive though.
This is a small intimate venue. The staff are knowledgeable and frieindly. It's not a comfy place but is interesting.
While the menu focuses on sherry & wine, the food plates (tasty regional Spanish dishes) are excellent, no surprise given it's the sister bar of Camino. Worth trying the sherry flights too.
Great spot for a quiet catch up with friends. Book if you can - the bar is tiny and fills up quickly.
What's not to love about tapas and sherry?! The perfect spot to celebrate my fiance's birthday
As always attentive service and yummy tapas. Large selection of sherry and wine :-)
More options and more larger portion sizes and also being able to book a table after 6pm
It is a little hidden secret! We had an amazing time the food was amazing. The best tapas we have had in ages!!! The service was great you can only go in small numbers though it is tiny. That's what makes it so special!!!!
Great selection of sherries with well matched tapas. A cosy slice of Spain by Kings Cross and in a space that you can actually talk to your friends.
Enjoyed a nice evening with friends. Tapas very small and rather pricey. Relatively Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The bill included an optional 12 per cent service charge. Our bill was £110.53p. We gave them £110 and were very disappointed that the waiter expected us to pay the full amount. Even we explained the service charge was optional , he was unhappy. It spoiled our evening somewhat.
literally a few minutes walk from the station. Generous portions, tasty charcuterie, cheeses and tapas. Cute place, and very small so make sure you book! Very good value for money, there were three of us and had 6 plates with about 5 beers each and the bill came to approximately £90, which is great. Would be even better if they did hot tapas, but understand the kitchen is tiny so could be a problem for the chef.
Worth a visit!
I love the ambiance of this teeny tapas and sherry bar nestled away in a Kings Cross courtyard. The sherry flights are a brilliant idea. More vegetarian options would be splendid but the salted chocolate pot made up for it!
Traditional small tapas bar across the court yard from a larger chain tapas. Very cosy and great atmosphere. Outdoor seating available. Wine and port list is superb and the food is good quality. Not cheap but good value for the quality.
Food was delicious but a shame there was nothing hot - not even coffee. Wine/sherry list was very interesting. But not a good place for taking elderly parents due to high stools. We were lucky the weather was good and could sit outside. Service was excellent but a shame the adjacent restaurant had a very loud DJ that night.
Visited Bar Pepito with friends for tapas. Having booked in advance on Opentable there was a reserved sign on our table, inside the venue. The interior is small, but has a very nice tapas bar feeling. We ordered a range of tapas, including marinated olives, which I have to admit are some of the best I have ever had, tomato topped bread, stuffed aubergines, chicken pate and squid. The only downside on the food is for me a lack of veggie options and the addition of one more to the menu would be appreciated. The Cava was excellent, as was the Gonzalez Byass, Solera 1847 Sherry which was delicious so would recommend.
Price wise the food was a little pricey for what we ate, but as mentioned delicious. Service was good, albeit a little sharp, but certainly would recommend again.
Great sherry menu, lively atmosphere with seating outside in the sun. Tip: reserve a table in advance it gets really crowded!
Small intimate authenticly spanish bar. Sherry served as it should be with tasty tapas to go with it.
Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere
This is a cute little hole in the wall, you must book, but completely worth the effort.
Greeted with a smile from the sweet waitress, all tables are tall with bar stools.
You go there to try the sherry and there is a nice verity, and the waitress is very helpful.
The down side (and I hope they sort it) the tasting menu is size for two people but they didn't seem to know how to tailor it for three people. This was very sad for us as that is why we went there but not very nice for our single friend, it made him feel very uncomfortable.
That aside we tried a really nice sherry with some beautiful tapas and had a really good time.
We would go back again.
Fab food, drink (specially the sherries which are beautifully selected and described), and staff. I have been here several times and whilst staff always seem to be different they are all incredibly welcoming and well trained. Food is simple but of the highest quality, although the tortilla is a peculiar thing but they do warn if you order it.
I usually book for 6pm (they don't take later bookings) and then stay as late as I possibly can (which would be all night if I lived a cit closer).
Excellent place ...
The space is small and feels like a real tapas bar you'd find in Spain. staff are excellent, food is light and nice. Not mind blowing and not substantial but excellent if you fancy small bites with delicious wine
Enjoyed a bottle of wine and some tapas (although our waiter forgot one of the dishes). The menu is quite limited so sister restaurant Camino over the courtyard might be the best choice if you want a wider selection of dishes.
Pretty good cold tapas iand decent wine. Very limited choice except for sherry. Popular so not always possible to find a table. I wish they had some hot food and more extensive wine list.
Fantastic atmosphere, very cosy, don't go with more than 3 friends or you will be sitting on the next persons lap. Lovely service, really helpful and cosy. Suggest you book if you want any hope of a table
Pepito is a fab little place (yes it is small); although despite some people talking about them not taking bookings they are happy to reserve a table up to an arrival time of 6.30, so for after-work, pre doing something else it's great. When I arrived at 5.45 the only free space was the table for two I had booked and during our time there loads of people were turned away so basically: it's always full but there is Camino across the way (sister restaurant) which I'll try next.
Food is cold tapas - they don't have a kitchen, but it's delicious and pretty authentic: the tomato with garlic and olive oil on bread is an example of how great something so simple can taste when prepared fresh with good ingredients - takes no prisoners with the garlic - do try the tortilla: it is a big surprise as it's a kind of restructured dish served in a glass! There, you have to go and see that ... Wine is pretty cheap (for central London - it's about 2 mins walk from Kings Cross/St. P) and we had a lovely Temperanillo/Cabernet mix, although the thing to drink is Sherry (if you like that kind of thing) they are very good at explaining the stuff and one can buy small flights so trying is great and not too pricey.
In short Pepito is fab: wonderful, fresh and vibrant - book for 6pm and eat everything on the menu ...
