Our in-house butchers handpick and prepare the very best meat from farms around Britain, then our chefs use it to create beautiful, modern dishes making the most of Texas pit smokers, tandoors, fire pits, robata grills and wood-fired ovens.
You’ll feel the heat, see the flames lick and the smoke drift upwards from our open kitchen as you indulge in one of our beautiful cocktails or a glass of whisky from our impressive selection. Barbecoa is home to the biggest collection of whiskies in the whole of London. From Tennessee to Tokyo, from the Highlands to the Lowlands, from Bourbon to the Brecon Beacons, you can try it all at Barbecoa.

Closed...not notified by Open Table. They also sent me a confirmation to remind us. Poor service on part by open table
The place was closed and completely empty when we arrived for our reservation. Apparently the company had filed for bankruptcy after I made my reservation.
What a question when it is closed and we received no notice!
Open table is a total crock of crap , you failed to notice that this restaurant chain had gone bust ! I was taking my girlfriend for a birthday treat we had a long journey and a hotel booked too ! Never again you total bunch of dickheads ......
The restaurant was closed for some time. Open Table sent me the confirmarion of the reservation the day before.
On the day we ended up not having any dinner since when we realized the reataurant was closed for good all other restaurants were booked.
The resturant is closed! Didn't get a notice.. Found when we was outside
You dumb f^%&s the restaurant wasn't even open when we got there ! You should have informed us . we wasted our time as you kept sending us emails about the place but didn't advise us that it was closed due to administration/bust.
This restaurant isn't currently open.
As well as all of Jamie Oliver's restaurants.
Why do I get these mails when the restsurant was closed before we even got there? Very annoying
It was closed so we didn’t get to go - no email from Opentable to let me know though.
Unfortunately Jamie Oliver got bankrupt the day before my reservation. However, OpenTables continued sending me emails to reconfirm that my table is still booked. I don't blame Mr. Oliver, it's more like KPMG, the company responsible for dealing with the bankruptcy, simply forgot that there might be existing clients with reservations. Meh.
It went in to administration and no one told us. It was closed and bankrupt. Never to be opened again. Ruined my night.
I booked for dinner for my uncle and I. He is visiting London and elderly but on arrival we found the restaurant was closed. No notification from open table or the restaurant. We managed to find somewhere else but it wouldn’t let me cancel saying I had to ring the restaurant, which obviously I couldn’t given it was closed. Not a great experience, why wasn’t I notified in advance so could make alternative arrangements.
Arrived for our meal and it was closed
Had a lovely time, service was amazing , food fantastic! They acknowledged my fathers birthday which was great!
Our hostess was very accommodating and helpful with our children’s and their food requirements, great touch with the birthday plate.
Great steaks and a fantastic view of St Pauls. Service very friendly and whiskey flight awesome!
We were looking forward to this as live in Spain and were holidaying in UK, although we are Londoners. No atmosphere at all; lovely waiter who carried it along, but lacking in any sort of ambience. Food for two was good (rump steak and pork loin), but my fish (sole) was horrible, probably defrosted and had a strange bleach taste. While fish may be a bad choice in such a restaurant, there should be no bad choices, in my opinion. We eat grilled fresh fish over and over in Spain and it is wonderful.
Price probably usual for the location, looking out at St Paul's, bu nothing like I expected from the description on Top Table. Try to be honest and people will be less critical, I think.
Awesome view of St Pauls; great waiter and delicious food, washed down with a great Bardolino!
I went to Barbecoa for my birthday with two friends. I’ve always heard good things and location/ setting/ views of St Paul's are amazing.
Sadly, the food just doesn’t match the setting. The staff were friendly but were stretched despite the restaurant not being busy. The menu is read mouth-watering, and food was tasty but really didn’t deliver value for money.
The portions were surprising small, to the point where it came across as penny pinching (stingy). For example, when the Barrata arrived it was a slice! Not a ball… it was as if they’d run out and trying to ration the portions! The ribs came as two small pieces, despite three of us eating.
Overall, we ordered well (five starters between three, and three mains with plenty of wine and the bill came to £400, overall, I just don’t think this represented good value for money. There are so many places doing this cuisine much, much better than Barbecoa. e.g. Pitt Cue. It feels like they are coasting, taking customers for granted and cashing in. Disappointing
The food was amazing, real fantastic meat. Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time. Our waiter Kelvin was professional and friendly! Moreover, splendid cocktail list and perfectly done!
Incredible view overlooking Saint Paul’s Cathedral.
One of my favourite restaurants and they didn’t disappoint me on my birthday! I went for Sunday Brunch with the option of bottomless Prosecco, with 10 friends. The food was superb and the service was excellent. As you can imagine with an unlimited amount of Prosecco, my table got louder and louder as time went on, the staff kindly asked us to keep it down and then gave us an extra 10 minutes of prosecco!
I never write reviews but I had to this time round, they made my birthday very special. Thanks Barbecoa.
Out Visit at Jamie Olivers Barbecoa was absolutley perfect. We had a table with St. Paul’s Cathedral View.
Drinks and Food every Pound worth it!
We will come again for sure!
Nice atmosphere. Food good but not excellent. The lemon sole was overcooked and mushy. The meat was better.
Cannot praise this restaurant enough. Everything was perfect. Alex our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly but not over familiar and the food was fantastic 5*+++++
Not impressed, food not hot enough and the burger was very burnt.Waiter was friendly and professional. ladies toilets out of order(told to use the only 1 disabled toilet or toilet outside restaurant)
Our waiter was such a friendly person he was always there when needed and would even take the time to have a conversation with us even though he was very busy
It’s a shame the service doesn’t match the spectacular views! We ended up skipping pudding as it was taking too long to be served. Meat was nice but not at all worth the price tag unfortunately.
A real shame as this place could be a stellar spot for foodies if the attention to detail was there :(
The place itself is really nice, vintage interior with a great view. But unfortunately the quality of the food was a little disappointing.
We visited from the USA and were very pleased with the food and especially the service. Every member of the staff was wonderful and made for a memorable and joyous evening out.
Great food in good ambience in great location of you happen to be in the City
I was gutted that the oysters were unavailable but other than this the meal was fantastic!
Great for a date or birthday with your other half.Lovely food
We had an amazing meal, would definitely recommend the Chateaubriand. Also we shared the selection of desserts and they were fantastic. Service was wonderful, very attentive, ambience was lovely with an amazing view of St Paul’s Cathedral.
The appetisers were good but the steaks weren’t cooked the way we asked and they were very tough. The sides - mash potato and broccoli really weren’t very nice. £20 for a poorly prepared flat iron steak is too much in my opinion. Also the fact that they only sold small 125ml glasses of wine for around £8 just isn’t good enough. Have wanted to try this restaurant for a while and was very underwhelmed
Great place but just a bit cold. We were below the air conditioning. If you have the same, just ask to reduce the AC
We had a great evening at Barbecoa St Paul's. The meat of the main course was excellent and we liked the wine as well.
We enjoyed our well situated table, but later in the evening it was a little bit noisy.
We were visiting London from the US and completely enjoyed our evening! It was a lovely space, the food was excellent...we enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert! The view of St. Paul's Cathedral across the street in the evening was stellar. Definitely worth the stop :)
