Barbecoa Piccadilly-Permanently Closed
Our in-house butchers handpick and prepare the very best meat from farms around Britain, then our chefs use it to create beautiful, modern dishes making the most of Texas pit smokers, tandoors, fire pits, robata grills and wood-fired ovens.
You’ll feel the heat, see the flames lick and the smoke drift upwards from our open kitchen as you indulge in one of our beautiful cocktails or a glass of whisky from our impressive selection.
Friday: 11:30 - midnight
Saturday: 09:00 - midnight
Sunday: 09:00 - 22:30
It’s like an Aladdin’s cave filled with equipment that no one else in London has – robatas, Argentinian grills, wood-fired ovens, Texas pit smokers and a tandoor oven – used with fruit woods like apple oak and cherry to give our food incredible flavours.
We are at the one by St Paul’s and we can’t fault it. Our waiter was fantastic a small the service was amazing. Would go back tomorrow if we only lived nearer
We were not notified it was going to be closed and only found out when there
We approached the restaurant to see from the window that no one was inside which was worrying. I was put off and contemplated finding another restaurant. Called to ask if they was even open and turns out you have to enter and go downstairs. First impression wasn't great.
Service was okay and the restaurant looked nice. I ordered the Fillet medium rare, what came was not medium rare but more medium well done, my wife ordered the chicken which was lovely. I was offered a replacement but I didn't want to wait whilst my wife had eaten her food.
Amazing service by our waiter, he was attentive, gave great personal recommendations and made us feel looked after while giving us space.
Food was delicious, well presented and we at no point felt like we were waiting or being rushed.
All in all we had a lovely time, no complaints here.
The service was not good at all. The food quality was terrible.. the steak we had to share was chewy and unbeatable:-(
A great space, with a great atmosphere and food to match.
A rather disappointing experience. The main restaurant is in a large but dull basement and the menu choices are quite limited. The food and service were just about OK but did not justify the ridiculously high prices. If you want steak (which dominates the menu here) there are much better choices in London.
Meat and cabbage were preset good, not much fries and dessert. Cool ambience and nice service
Great lunch time set menu on offer. Good choices and decent portion sizes.
Loved this place, so sad to see it go, hope the other one is good, will try it soon.
Great casual spot for lunch or dinner...
Very poor steak, sides and dessert were excellent
Jamie Oliver restaurant serving mainly steaks although other meat also available on the menu. Steaks come plain, and one has to order the sauces and side dishes separately, which makes the meal more expensive. Very busy with good ambience.
Great basement room with lovely atmosphere. Really good starters and the steaks were really good. I would put them up there with steaks at Gaucho and Hawksmoor. Definitely worth trying if you are a steak fan
Bang average steak and over priced.
The service was fine, not remarkable. Given the price, we expected it to be a bit more special. We’ve liked Barbecoa at St Paul’s better in the past.
We had such an amazing late birthday dinner in Barbecoa. The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional. We felt really looked after. Have to mention the cocktails as well - what a great selection of creative and unique drinks! Congrats! We are looking forward to visiting again.
Lovely food, had roast dinners, but expensive for what you got, main menu is better value. The St. Paul’s branch is a much better setting, Piccadilly is a bit dark and lacking in atmosphere compared to it.
Last minute booking but I xceptional food and drink! Slightly more expensive but worth it.
Great ambiance, fantastic friendly service, highly recommended. Only issue is (like other Jamie Oliver restaurants) the high amount of salt used on the steaks. Yes they tasted great but was it really necessary?
Amazing restaurant. Shame it is now closed. Will go and visit the St Paul location.
We booked on the spur of the moment, and it was a lovely evening. The service was excellent and the food was excellent.
Definitely go back
A pre birthday lunch. Good food, good service but a subdued atmosphere due to the lack of diners. Will be back for a busier dinner.

What a lovely experience it was and the food... Simply amazing.. We ordered from the set menu and the starter that we wanted wasn't available so the head chef told us to choose any starter to replace it.. Simply fantastic!
The overall experience was stunningly good!
Nothing to put my finger on except some pricetags on drinks.
I went to Barbecoa with my girlfriend for New Year's Eve dinner. I LOVE the atmosphere and decor, and the service is top notch. However, I ordered the 12 oz. dry-aged sirloin and was very disappointed with it. The flavor was good, it had a nice char for medium rare termination. But the steak was chewy and more difficult to cut in most parts of the steak. I probably had 4 bites off of the steak that were enjoyable and tender. Other than that, it a lot of work to chew and eat. Very, very disappointing by itself, but even more so on NYE. We enjoyed our calamari starter and cocktails (she had the Manhattan, I had the Barbecoa Blazer...very nice). My GF liked her chicken dish and veggie side. I loved the truffle mac and cheese and I liked the rainbow chard. We also enjoyed the brownie with bay leaf ice cream as our desert. All that said, I just can't recommend a steak house after the experience I had with the steak I was served.
Very good service top notch food
Staff were brilliant. Food wasn’t exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend trusting your server with cocktail selection and paring.
This was not my first visit to Barbecoa, but my first for business entertainment, and it certainly won't be my last! The food was on point as always and the service was outstanding! I can't fault this place - highly recommended.
My second time visiting and they have improved so much, that I will be returning in the New Year a few times.
To be honest, I thought this was the poor relation to the other branch by St Paul’s Cathedral. It lacked atmosphere, I thought the food was pretty average. My Sunday chicken roast was named greedy, not quite sure why as it was a relatively small piece of chicken. My friends did enjoy their steaks, so a bit hit and miss
Good food, steaks were really good quality, sides were reasonable without being anything special. However the bill for 4 people came to £250. That’s just mains with one side each and the cheapest bottle of wine available - I’ve had as good or better for much less.
Lovely place, good food and nice wine selection 👍
Lovely evening with excellent steak and service even though it was super busy with Christmas parties.Thank you,Barbecoa.
A large vociferous office group ruined the ambience.
We have been to the restaurant at St Paul’s Catherdral but throughly enjoyed the Piccadilly branch as you could spend your entire evening there pre drinks/meal/after drinks and this is because of the large bar area which is separated to the dining area something the branch at St Paul’s Catherdral can not offer. Waitress Becky was very informative and provided a history of the building and how it was found and formed as a 1920’s theamed restaurant. Food was beautiful and came out hot and in great timing.
This was a Business Christmas meal. The food was very good, as was the service but the ambience was lacking. There was barely any Christmas decor or special touches found in some other restaurants. That was a shame.
