Great service, delicious food and a fun, trendy, pleasant ambiance.
Delicious, the flautas are awesome!
Got double charged for food items and the server attempted to throw away the itemized bill which I had to request to have reprinted. We all make mistakes, so not a problem, but just own it versus trying to cover it up.
I’ve been many times and the food, atmosphere and vibe are all phenomenal and usually the service is stellar.
Best nachos in Toronto BY FAR!!
Loved the patio and the heaters. Food was great and was served quickly. Will definitely come back!
Great food, great patio... always enjoy it here.
Disappointed with the service
I love the food here and the patio is perfect, but every visit, I find the wait staff to be infrequent in follow up or forgetting to refill drinks, come back to check on you, etc. Not sure if it’s understaffing or just not the routine to do that regular follow up. Otherwise I really love going there.
Loved the food but over priced for small portions. Great vibe, cool dishes and drinks are a must have!
Food was 10 out of 10. Atmosphere and vibe was 10 out of 10. Service was more like 20 out of 10 :) this was my first time here and it won't be my last. We had an amazing time!!!
Great experience on a busy patio. Efficient and charming service from the beginning to end. Creative and tasty tacos, well thought out drinks. Fun times!
Everything was delicious!
Great service, warm ambience. The portions were great. Different from everywhere else, I loved the rancheros here!
Catching up with a girlfriend. The staff were friendly and attentive but didn’t rush us, could see we were having a good chat.
We had a spot on the patio - very nice, not too loud for being in a busy section of Queen East.
The food and drink were both very good. We just had some guacamole and chips and a Barrio bowl. It was a little heavy on the crema for my taste (my girlfriend ordered it on the side which was a good choice in hindsight), but very tasty and fresh.
I would recommend and will definitely go back.
overall very good experience. server was very friendly and helpful. veggie taco could have had a bit more flavour and was a bit soggy but everything else was very tasty.
Server was above and beyond amazing! GM passed by to check in- have not had that happen in a long time. Attentive and personable but not too much. Food was outstanding. Vibe was fun and relaxed. Sat on the patio. Sad we had not discovered it sooner but will 100% be back.
I was a tad disappointed with this place. Great location and the patio is awesome. However, the food was just alright, the drinks are seriously so small in these little mason jars.
Not sure if it was our servers first day or not but she really needs to step up her game. Slow, sloppy & maybe unintentionally slightly rude. I’ve worked in the service industry & I know its a really hard job and I still gave her a good tip, but somebody needs to train her properly.
Pass on this place & try another spot for good Mexican food.
Great food. Tacos each had something special that made them delicious. We brought our pre-teen kids and they loved the place. Great margaritas! Amazing patio(s)!
From street-view, the restaurant seems great. The venue is unlike any other Mexican spot in the city, two outdoor spaces and surprisingly spacious. Unfortunately that’s where it ends. The service is slow, the food is bland, the drinks are overpriced for what they are. The servers, as sweet as they are, are unable to be of any help when it comes to providing any alternatives due to allergies. When asking to not have potatoes come as a side for a dish, the server explained that the chef only served food as they created the food and no substitutions were allowed. Let’s be serious here, this is a glorified taqueria (at best), you are not doing molecular gastronomy.
A little disorganized. When we arrived we waited for a walk in couple ahead of us to negotiate a seat as the restaurant was busy. When it was our turn, before she seated us, the hostess looked harried and told us the kitchen was busy and we had to wait to order. We were seated next to the walk ins, and watched them order drinks and get chips and dip. Finally we flagged waitstaff and asked if we had a waiter. He was super friendly and realized that there was a mistake and he was our server. After this things got rolling, but slowly. Our major disappointment was that the kitchen was totally unwilling to modify any tacos for our fussy eater 11 year old. We were told that they wouldn’t compromise the “medley of tastes they had composed”. We were pleased with our food, but our 11 year old had no choice but to order a taco with sauce that he didn’t care for and wasn’t allowed to ask for cheese or the traditional “sour cream”. Basically, other than nachos, he wasted his food and didn’t eat :( I think maybe a little flexibility for kids would be better here.
Horrible experience, we had a birthday and I specifically reserved for a birthday. They refused to give us a patio table because we were too big of a party (8 people). We then asked to be changed to the patio after dinner and they still refused. when I went downstairs to look at the second patio it was empty.
Poor service. Nothing special in the food. Not great. Wouldn’t recommend going again.
Lovely spot on QueenStreet East with lots of options for outside and inside seating. Service was outstanding and good value for great Mexican food with choices if you are just in for a snack and a brew or a full meal!
Great little neighborhood spot with lovely patio and well prepared and tasty Mexican fare. Loved the watermelon salad and fish tacos. Was quiet the night we were there so not as much ambiance but would come again.
Have the Mezcal Margarita! The guacamole Cervice and all the tacos were excellent. So were the churros with caramel sauce.
Great place! Amazing staff!
Needed more staff and a bartender. Waiters were bar tending and serving.
Delicious food and very good service, but a bit pricey for Mexican and the size of the servings.
I recommended this place to my date and he was floored and over the moon with the authenticity. Never disappointed with the food or service!
Love the service. Food was okay, not really expensive but still not worth the price. Wraps too small for filling, portions are off. You can get better Mexican elsewhere, however I’d come back just because the service and ambience were great
Good cocktails and drinks, atmosphere and service. Tacos were expensive and tasted average at best.
The brunch is absolutely amazing! The french toast has been dubbed "downright cake" by some. We're now making this place a regular spot! Wonderful.
Delicious food, cool vibe but we were welcomed by a very unwanted guest under our table... a snake! The staff were trying not to make a scene as one of the servers noticed a SNAKE under my friends chair. Instead of telling us what was happening, I had to ask what they were looking at only to find the serpent on the ground. After my friends and I were clearly disturbed, the staff made no effort to comfort us nor did they offer any compensation on our bill. A little acknowledgment for the inconvenience should have been the bare minimum we should receive in a situation like this. Super disappointed by this and unfortunately it’s enough for us to not return..
Overall pretty disappointing. Had a dinner reservation for 8 people, showed up and they sat us at a couch with a coffee table as our table for dinner.... after speaking with the manager we were moved to a proper table. Then waited 20 minutes for a server to come, and then another 35-45 for food. Food was tasty but portions were tiny. Beautiful patio but likely won’t be going back.
The hostess staff seemed either a little overwhelmed or a little inexperienced as when we arrived they seemed to be shuffling people who had already been seated around. It was fine with us as we wanted to sit outside but I saw them ask a group of women something, and then five minutes into us sitting outdoors both wait staff brought them their drinks and their food outside. We also saw them do it with another group. It was just very odd.
Otherwise the food was really amazing and the drinks were even better. I ordered a papaya margarita and it came with a shot of tequila in the shell of the papaya lit on fire. A small but cool experience!
Also the patio was amazing!!
Food was good but nothing special. It took over an hour before we were served our food! Not sure if this is a normal occurrence or not, but I wouldn’t go back because of that.
Fabulous menu, our group of six shared appetizers and then had different main courses, a great variety of tacos, all delicious especially the haddock and pulled pork. The food was delicious and well presented. We got a nice welcome on arrival and the service was first class, very pleasant and helpful in describing the dishes and help in pronouncing them! A very good selection of drinks, we had beers but will try the margarita's next time. We sat on one of the patios and thought it might be a bit loud with the traffic on Queen St, this wasn't the case at all and the décor outside and in is very authentic. Our new favourite Mexican restaurant in Toronto!
While the food was very good the huge chip in one of my guests ( first timer on our recommendation) plate was unpleasant. The lamb is superb , enchiladas are tasty and the drinks didn't come fast enough.
Great place - been here a few times and it never disappoints.
Where’s the meat? Food was “ok”. There is just too much competition out there now. It was not that tasty. We expected more. Service was good though.
First 5 minutes when we arrived, hostess did not acknowledge us... we told we had reservations...did not seem to matter. Service was slow at beginning, no plates, no cutlery on table, water glasses were dirty. First impression was not pleasant.
Enjoyed mid-week dinner with friends. The food tastes great and was good value. I especially enjoyed the burrito bowl.
