Outside seating plentiful and very nice setting. Food was certainly on the smaller side for the cost but tasty nonetheless. Do recommend going as nice little pub but expect a smaller portion.

Nice venue but nearly got hypothermia due to rather too much fresh winter air. Not your fault just wish we'd borrowed the blanket! Food good except over cooked soggy chips. Will wait till warmer weather returns to come again.

The pub staff were friendly and patient as we dithered between outside and in the tent for tables.

Plenty of parking and the food was different, tasty and good value. The local beer on tap was very drinkable.

All in all a great place to have lunch. It was my first time there and will definitely go again.

I had a lovely meal with my fiancee for my birthday, we nearly cancelled due to the weather, but when we arrived and saw the tent it was perfect !!
Staff were lovely, menu was different but all of it looked yummy.
Would definetly recommend 👌

We thought the Pub did very well to cater within the ridiculous current restrictions on only being allowed to eat outside at Pubs and Restaurants

Lovely early Sunday lunch in the sunshine, was so pleased to get a reservation and it did not disappoint! Two small plates as starters followed by a fantastic roast beef and sides. Great presentation, beautifully cooked meal and a really nice atmosphere- we will be back! Thank you :)

Allowing for some level of disruption due to covid conditions, the experience was a total shambles. The service was really poor and all over the place, and some how the food was even worse. A dish was given without sauce due to them having run out but deciding not to inform you when ordering, a portion of chips were both soggy and burnt. It was just an all round bad experience.

Really disappointing about the food. Our drinks arrived after the food as well. Lovely manager took all food off the bill. Was definitely busy!
On the upside the Gifford tent was beautiful

Quality food; organic, interesting and small plates. Definitely worth a go if you want something different. You are paying for quality. If you want a curry and chips this isn’t your place….

Lovely setting and very efficient friendly staff. Menu a bit odd for a pub, not great food and very overpriced for what it is. Greasy tasteless chips. A more simple value for money menu would take it to the next level.

Essentially the menu is Tapas style, small plates to share, but British cuisine.
In all honesty not a fan of this style of menu, some plates were tiny, others were huge, was completely lost really and ended up ordering way too much. Shame as a nice spot and setting, but wouldnt rush back for the food and general experience.

Sitting in the large garden on a chilly day wasn't ideal. However, the cooking was excellent. Hake was as well cooked as any I've had anywhere. Staff friendly and obliging.
Will return when the weather is kinder, or to enjoy a meal inside which looks very welcoming.

Was nice ambiance tbf and a nice place to sit, however the selection of lager was very poor (weather some just weren’t available) and the sausage rolls was very poor taste and still had to pay

We were so impressed with our food. Please don't take the beetroot Wellington off the menu?
It was so great sitting in the garden with the nice music.

Everything we had to eat was sublime!

Went there on a Sunday as a party of 4, menu was limited. Assistance/service was good although did not get my starter. Portions were very small {2 of us had the roast}, 1 slice of pork which didn't even cover the size of a average yorkshire pudding.
Flavours were good but would not hurry back especially as I come from Dorset.

The setting was absolutely lovely but we were disappointed with the Sunday lunch. The food was presented inside the Yorkshire pudding which wasn’t that large, on a big plate. We had to ask for gravy, and we felt there was not much food/vegetables for all of us (there were 5 of us and only one bowl of potatoes, turnip and kale between us all). The kids size roast seemed to be the same size as the adult size so not great value for money.

Beautiful setting, great service

The food was overpriced and small portions, which was expected from a small plates menu but what we got we felt we could have easily cooked at home.

Would recommend to anyone for drinks as really gorgeous spot to sit outside

Complicated and very over priced menu. A fantastic country pub trying to be a west end restaurant. £13 for a at best average burger then an extra £4 to have chips with it is ridiculous. Needs a simple old fashioned menu that does not cost the earth. Great staff and fantastic pub garden for a drink but sadly not the food.

We spent a lovely afternoon here on Saturday. The food was delicious - particularly the cheeses, the service was excellent with lots of recommendations and atmosphere lovely. As a pub manager myself, I can be quite critical when at the pub but I couldn’t fault our lunch!

Not sure the small plate idea works for a main course. The amount of fish combined with chips was not enough for us. Plus run out cider early in a Friday night and only two beers on offer. Lovely garden setting though.

Nice setting and well organised.
Prices and offerings just didn’t work, understand what you are trying to offer but it is not tapas and not food that naturally goes together.
Can work out very expensive for what you get!

It is in a idealistic area, loads of outdoor seating, not too close to other tables under the circumstances.
A small menu you need a few dishes to satisfy. Will certainly return when there is a better menu and we can go inside. Actually the chips were very greasy.

A bit disappointing. Smallish menu. Fairly expensive and ran out of desserts. Seemed to be quite a few staff ferrying the food from the kitchen but quite hard to get the attention of anyone.
Nice large garden with picnic benches though.

A beautiful location, setting and sun trap to be outside. Service was rather shambolic and disjointed. We were immediately told we couldn't order food without a booking, but we had booked. Then we asked to sit in the sun which was fine but someone else told us we were sitting in the wrong place to be able to order food. Drinks order taken but then almost immediately another person came to take a drinks order. We were warned food order would be slow but it actually turned up very quickly. Serving and portion sizes were hit and miss. Generally over priced, feels like they are trying to be posh but actually food was rather ordinary. No pickle with the ploughman's, requested some but turns out they had run out. One ploughman's had 2 types of cheese, the other had only one, when requesting more, more of the same turned up... Paying became complicated. Hopefully these are teething issues and can be sorted out as the location and setting is ideal.
