Barton Rouge - Liverpool
I was looking forward to this, based on the reviews. The food was average and overpriced. Don’t normally get charged for poppadums and dip when I go to an Indian restaurant. The lamb curry was too chewy, the rice portions too small.
The desert options were just frozen ice cream and not traditional.
Really good food, company and service. Would come again
Great service, good food; large restaurant; ideal for eating on your own and large groups.
Place was lovely and had few people in for a Tuesday night , it was just bit on chilli side plus the toilets lovely but cold too .
Really enjoyed our first visit here, the food was exceptional, Staff very friendly & efficient. Definitely go back
Rather an odd ambience for an Indian restaurant. Mixed starters all rather dry and with awful looking red colouring- quite offputting. Fish curry was good but overall rather lack lustre food that was reasonably priced
Welcomed on arrival, shown to seat and food ordered and arrived quickly. My sis said it was 'the best Chicken Korma', she had tasted. Waiter very attentive and friendly.
Friendly, helpful and kind staff. Food good quality and very prompt with enough time to chat in between. Great ambience of place. Can't fault the experience. Thank you very much. Very pleased. Very efficient.
A lovely meal that definitely lived up to our expectations.
Very crowded, staff were very busy, we had to wait almost 30 minutes despite pre-booking.
Food was very good, but seemed like staff were over busy all the time.
Excellent food, good spacious tables and very efficient service. Very central location.
Not enough staff on it seemed, good great apart from bread.... flat not risen
Very classy decor in this basement restaurant.
A warm welcome and some really nice food. Fresh spices and ginger creating a great flavour.
I’ll be going back there next time I’m up in Liverpool
When in Liverpool, it is always worth a visit... very nice atmosphere
Excellent meal, called in sat 6.30, booked table got a lovely booth.cant fault food really enjoyed it...we will be back.
On a Monday night just after Christmas the restaurant was unsurprisingly quiet. We were a party of 6 plus my 2yo niece. Service was excellent and the staff were more than happy to take my nieces dinner into the kitchen and heat it up for her. The food itself was excellent. 6 adults, 6 different meals, 6 empty plates! If you like it spicy the honey chicken with ghost pepper sauce is highly recommended.
We were a group of 7 and welcomed straight to a table, surprisingly empty for 8pm on a Saturday. Service very good and food was excellent, would recommend to anyone thinking to visit.
excellent food especially brilliant starter service great too
Really lovely Indian food. Makes a change to the usual Indian restaurants that we frequent! Would recommend :)
I have been this restaurant many times with family and friends and could not give any criticism food fabulous service great just brilliant Thank you
Excellent food and service.
Fabulous food , really good feel about the place, probably the best Indian in town
Great food and service
Lovely service from the onset. We enjoyed delicious sharing starters and mains. The food was faultless as were the drinks and staff.
Been here before and will definitely dine here again.
Excellent good and attentive staff a favourite place to eat
Restaurant was very quiet and lacked atmosphere. The food was ok but i expected better based on reputation
Food was really good. Bit pricey as two mains, one dessert and two diet coke’s somehow cost £55. But, the service was great and using Opentable was so easy and convenient. Will definitely go back for the lamb kebab!
Everything was amazing about this place, the decor the staff and the food was to die for...will definitely return next time I'm in Liverpool
The food is not you every day curry house, its taken to another level, a modern twist thats really good. The service os superb. If you like curry you will love Barton Rouge.
Nice meal but they forgot our Tika Masala and then rushed so it didn’t taste great. Everything else was okay
The food was excellent one of the best Indian Restaurants I have been to for some time the food was fresh and well spiced a really enjoyable meal. Although I like quite spicy food I also like to taste the food this fitted the bill my wife had a dish less spicy but equally tasty.
I will ensure that we return when next in Liverpool.
Amazing. A little gem tucked away which is beautifully decorated and furnished. The staff are polite, helpful and attentive. You will not be disappointed - the food is fresh, hot and tastes delicious!!!
We can’t wait to return - wish we had a Barton Rouge nearer home.
Absolutely great place. We received a very friendly welcome, attentive but not intrusive service throughout and the food was absurdly good! The decor is modern and very well done and the atmosphere (on a Friday night when we went) buzzing. The only bad thing is that we don’t live close enough to go regularly, otherwise we would do that every week. If you are in Liverpool and like high quality Indian food, go here.
Been here about 5 times now and every time is as good as the previous. Food is excellent, service efficient, clean and modern interior. Superb!
Enjoyed our evening lovely tasty food.
Would recommend to friends
Favourite Indian in Liverpool. Lovely place. Service great and super value
Third time here and it just gets better.
The food was extremely tasty, the portions are a decent size, the service is efficient, the place is very clean and modern with a light Indian theme. The wine list is good and nothing is overly expensive.
Easily the best Indian in the town centre of Liverpool.
Visited on Wednesday, early evening, as ever the food and service were excellent, can't recommend this restaurant enough.
Excellent Indian food. Also for a vegetarian. Nice staff. Be aware to have tips in cash. You can't add to the bill.
2 Nd visit amazing food .. excellent menu .. attentituve staff and beautiful restaurant
