Absolutely amazed that I didn’t get advised that Barullo was no longer operating even though I had a table booked with friends who came from outside London only for us to turn up, all lights off, no staff but the BYOC bar that was downstairs (separate business) advised us that they had closed down a few days previous. Nothing online suggested they were closed. Don’t waste your time! Shame as they did a really good paella.
Rice was fine but paella was not so good. Service has been very kind and courteous. Prices were higher than expected (maybe because they're located near in Liverpool St tube). Starters portions may be bigger
The paella was outstanding. Very good size for 2 people, the service was brilliant and very attentive, our glasses were never empty!
This is great food in an unexpected location. The tapas and paella were utterly delicious. Service was a bit offhand at first but settled into its stride when the place got busy and buzzy. Sadly we didnt get to try the drinks as it was a lunchtime outing. I am keen to come back in the evening to do it again.
We used to visit the previous occupant of this space and were surprised to find a new tenant.
The food was excellent - in particular the octopus and the paella. Service ranged from bubbly - chatty - professional. We will be going back.
Style over substance. Loved the décor and service was good. Menu very limited and missed some of the usual tapas like patatas bravas. There was 3 of us but all portions came up with 2 items so we had to cut up and share. Calarami good, they recommend the langoustines which they flambé at the table, but you were lucky to get a mouthful from each one. Definitely not worth the money. Had 5 dishes but left hungry, no option of extra sides such as potatoes. Would possibly visit again to try other items on the menu and perhaps order more but we were guided by the staff. Overall very disappointed.
The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and approachable - the menu and and wine list were both extremely well put together.
This restaurant has just opened, but the staff were knowledgable and helpful. The menu is interesting and delicious - a great charcuterie and cheese selection, a couple of great salads (the green apple and kohlrabi was so tasty), and then a delicious selection of fried, raw, cured, smoked and grilled options, and an amazing range of paella. Possible to get in-and-out quickly, but we lingered over several wines, from a small but well considered list. We'll be back.
