We walked in and said we were there for the reservation were laughed and and the guy walked away. We didn’t stay. It would have easily been a 1k meal.
We got the earliest thank we thought, but they were wonderful at accommodating our party. Thank you so much!
This restaurant clearly does more service at the bar and perhaps for breakfast. They seemed puzzled that we were there for dinner and took for ever to make up a high top table, even though I had reserved a standard table. The food was okay, and the menus far more limited than the online version.
It was a nice dinner, but our salad came with way too much dressing on it. The server was wonderful, but she was trying to manage about 9 tables on her own and most people came all at the same time. This is unfair to a server because it wasn't her fault.
Slow service. We were served our appetizers and main course at the same time. The ahi tuna was sliced horribly
I probably would not commend Basil's restaurant. It was good food but not worth sending other people to.
Our server Lisbeth was wonderful, the food was all excellent, and after a long day on the tradeshow floor, we appreciated the quiet atmosphere.
I was surprised that the place was quite empty even during a trade Show. Definitely worth the walk, great food at reasonable Price.
Not sure how I rate Basil's. Let's start with the food overall the food looked good, the portions we're better then expected and everyone said their food tasted good. I felt my food could have been seasoned better but with the sauce it tasted very good.
Now to my issue. The service we had reservations and we showed up early and it took forever at least 10 minutes to even ask us how many in our party. By the way the place for what I could see was empty. Once we were sitted we asked what was in the seafood chowder because I have algeries and had to make sure there was not something in the soup that would make me sick, the waitress, by the way she was nice, didn't know because she was told to say all kinds of seafood. We had to ask her to ask the chef. Which she did and we found out I couldn't have the soup, which was fine. By the way my family said it was good and they are picky eaters. On to the next it seem to us that she was the only server plus their was a bartender those were the only two we saw and that was rare. It took the waitress either 47 minutes or 57 minutes to take are order. Not sure I only learned this after our meal was done and we were leaving.
So this is getting ling enough would we go again probably not. The food was good but service is also very important and Basil's just didn't make the grade
I did not enjoy the food at basil's. I was intrigued with he food menu, but when the food came out, it was pretty dry and not seasoned well. I ordered the steak frites and the sesame ahi tuna. The steak wasn't seasoned and not medium rare as I asked. The mashed potatoes and spinach for the ahi tuna was bland and poorly presented.
We've been dining at Basil's for over 25 years. This is easily one of Atlanta's best. We had
special attention this time from the owner, who's personality is a big as the portions served.

They are not looking at OpenTable reservations, none of the staff knew about the reservation, table was not ready and was not in the main dining area either. Food was not special, low quality hotel room service food, limited choice. Very expensive overall, both food and drinks.
The burgers are great and the other sandwiches are just as good. The staff is top notch and I can not say enough about it.
Server was fantastic! Food is generic and the menu could use an upgrade for choices. Its one of those meals you have to push through if you're tired, had a long day and just need something to eat.
Service was slow. Food took over one hour and was burnt. The Manager tried to make up for it, but only after being asked.
This was possibly the worst business dinner I have ever had. The restaurant was rated 4 stars so wonder if we just got a bad, bad night. It took 20 minutes to order. It took nearly 1 hour to get our dinner. When we got it, many items were wrong. I ordered a chopped salad and got a spinach salad. What was supposed to be tomato soup was some other tomato item. 3 steaks ordered were very rubbery. I felt bad for the servers - it didn't seem like they had any possibility of being successful. When we pulled the manager over, he did take 30% off of our bill. Sadly, we went through the Carl's Jr. drive through on the way home to get something to eat. Sad.
Poor customer service. I had to put a credit card down to get reservation.... ok fine. I had a big party 10. We get there and there is no one at the host stand.... so we go to bartender to let him know we are here. He says they are not seating people because they have a private party. But we have a reservation... sorry should not have let you. I ask to speak to a manager. I’m told that person is busy, to go to front desk of hotel. This is beyond poor customer service. Btw half of the restaurant was empty.
