Consistent wonderful food. Really exceptional. World class.
This is the third time we’ve been there and it’s jusy as good as the first. There is overall consistency in everything. Service, food, atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again!
pleased with the service and food. It perfect for a cozy-romantic night out!
We will definitely come back!
We adore eating at Basso. It is our family's favorite restaurant. We started going there back when they let you bring your own wine. Now they have a liquor license and still the same great menu. The owner is so friendly and the servers all are professional, courteous and hard working. The food never disappoints. I eat a plant based diet and they always are willing to accommodate my needs. They have made me salads using a variety of vegetables and there are plenty of vegetable side dishes. My Dad loved the lamb two ways, mom gets the calamari and often one of the specials. The chicken under a brick is one that people rave about. We return here again and again for the consistent quality food and service. Thank you!
Food always excellent as is the service! We truly enjoy dining here.
Food is always great. Good mix of choices. Also always very crowded, but you know that going in. Excellent!!
Been there a few times and always enjoy the meal and service. Nice ambiance as well.
Love this place. My fiance and I have valentine's dinner here every year for the past 4 years.
The MP Fish Halibut fish special was way over priced. I am a fish aficionado and Halibut is one of favorites. Bosso’s Halibut was good, but did not warrant +$40 price. Thank you.
Their tapas are delicious! The tuna & hanger steak were my favorite but all were delicious.
Overall great. Wasn’t crowded and therefore found the temperature a little chilly. A fellow patron rudely took a call in the dining room and was very unpleasant and distracting. Food, cocktail, wine and servers were top notch.
Fantastic food, great cocktails! Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
This was our second visit to Basso and it was even better than the first. We love the food and the service was excellent. The ambience is perfect for dining & socializing. Can’t wait to go back again!
Wonderful! Ambiance, food, service top notch. Will return time and again.
Everything was delicious and staff was exceptional!
Our family of 5, who love interesting flavorful delicious food, thoroughly enjoyed a birthday celebration dinner here last week. The seafood and steak were prepared well. The chocolate lava cake was the darkest ever and the two youngest savored their 4 mini gelato cones. Attentive Service and warm ambience encourage us to return too.
Amazing food, impressive staff and one of my favorite restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Highly recommended!
Good food but service left a good amount to be desired.
Just keeps getting better, which shouldn’t be possible.
Great ambiance and lighting. Service was prompt and food was delicious. Price on high end, but worth it. Definitely recommend for romantic meal.
It was a birthday dinner for my wife. There was live music and they played and sang happy birthday service was great. An all around great evening. Just what you hope to experience when you go out for dinner
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. They never disappoint, the food is delicious, wait staff is great, and they have a nice wine selection. Give it a try, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Amazing food! Bad acoustics tho... so noisy
Booked a party of 4, they do text confirmation which went smoothly. Arrived a few minutes early for a 6:30p reservation on a Saturday night. The place was very quiet and they sat us at a 4 top against the wall. The restaurant is very small, so once tables started to fill in, the noise level became quite loud. Also the tables are pretty close together and hard for servers to access the tables against the wall. 7pm seems to be the most popular time. I think before and after if you want to take your time. The food was delicious and the portions were right for the price. My only gripe is when I ordered the $9 Chardonnay, I was told they are out of it and the suggested option was $16. If you run out of or discontinue, you need to have a comparable option.
Awesome food! We’ve been wanting to come here for a while now and it exceeded expectations
Great food. Very loud and crowded. Not the best service. Food comes out quickly but the waiters don’t check up and u end up waiting a lot.
Always a great choice for dining in the Norwalk area!
Food was delicious, excellent mix of flavors and spices. However, we felt prices were over the top. Mushroom soup $16 Fish $44 cup of espresso 8.75.
Excellent food choices. Well prepared and delicious. Only complaint is that for similar restaurants in Fairfield county particularly South Norwalk the prices here are somewhat inflated
We have always wanted to try this restaurant. I’m sad that we waited so long! It was a lovely atmosphere, very attentive wait staff, and the food was terrific. Crispy, flavorful beef empanadas and delicious eggplant parm. My husband had the cheese platter and short ribs. We can’t wait to go back again and bring friends!
We have been to Basso many times, with a couple of friends and this time with a group. Each time has been very enjoyable and the food delicious.
The food was excellent. The wait staff could not have been more pleasant, accommodating and attentive. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, very warm and inviting. Only a few tables occupied, too bad as people are missing out! So noise level was at a minimum. Would definitely recommend to others and enjoy another dinner there.
This is definitely a hidden gem! Food is absolutely delicious and our server was wonderful! Added bonus....1/2 price wine on Wed. nights. Highly recommend!
From the minute we walked in to the restaurant until we left everything was lovely.
Had the brick chicken..very moist..came with roasted beets and carrots and mashed potatoes
Also started with the fried avacado special..excellent
Service was perfect
Sweet little hidden gem
Would go again
The only issue I had is that where I was sitting in the restaurant was directly in the line of the air conditioning unit, so I was rather cold. Otherwise, everything was FAB!
We always enjoy going to Basso. My only recommendation would be to have more waiters on busy nights...Friday, Saturdays, etc. We had a recent great meal and our waiter was wonderful but ....we did sit with empty water glasses, dirty plates on the table for too long and needing another glass of wine (!!). She probably had 8-10 tables....too many for consistent service.
One of my favorite restaurants. Food is delicious and the restaurant team is wonderful!
Food was excellent. Servers were friendly and attentive. Definitely going back soon.
We are from Sarasota fl and this is a favorite when we are in town!!! We love the feel of this restaurant- warm and cozy.
