Always has great food with an interesting menu. Service was atellar. I recommend for any occasion.
My only concern was that our server was pushed to the max with more tables than he should have had. But, he tried valiantly to keep us all happy but I feel he was stretched!
We made a reservation and took my daughter out to Baxter’s Landing. The restaurant was maybe 20% full. You could not hear one another speak. We asked them to turn down the football game as you could even talk and it took about 15 minutes for them to do so and they barely turned it down. There were 2 men watching the game sitting at the bar they were accommodating so the rest of the patrons had to just deal with it. Food was great and we have been many times but will not likely go back.
There were three of us in our party. One of my friends ordered a drink which took an extremely longtime to come, we had to ask 3 people about her drink. It was due to that they were waiting for the drink to freeze since it was a frozen drink. My friend was not explained this until later we were told at first it was delayed because the bartender had a lot of orders, then when it took still alot longer we were told it was going to come shortly. If my friend was told the real reason for the delay initally and how long she was going to have to wait she would have ordered something different. She walked to the restaurant rather then drive because her inital plan was to have a couple of drinks but because her first one took so long she decided not to have a second one. Also, luckily it was after I had finished my dinner but a dove sitting on the ceiling fan above my head decided to do a drop which initially hit my head then landed on the table. The waitress said that they were going to put nets up to stop the pigeons however have figured how to sit up there even with the spikes. This was not a good way to end a meal. Overall the food was good however we were kind of annoyed that no one apologized at all for the late arrive of the drink or for the bird dropping.
Excellent, was able to be seated early of our reservation. Dinner was great. Server friendly, and helpful. Ast.mgr., delivered dessert and said hello.
Most definitely will be back
The food was fantastic, and it is a great atmosphere!
The entire meal and service was a little slow when we had to head back to work but it did not decrease the experience.
The wine was great, the oysters were fresh and delicious, and the entrees we ordered were exquisite!
The menu and food were OK. The service was SSSLLLOOOWWW. I mean painfully so. I think we waited 1/2 an hour before they even took our drink order. The best part of the whole meal was in fact the cocktail I ordered. All 3 of use decided that it was not worth going back to. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for service if it's a great place but not into waiting for mediocrity!!
Extremely slow service and was not that busy
Over 20 minutes for drinks the ones he remembered
And I think very understaffed
Found it expensive for what we got
But just the whole wait times killed it
I would definitely go back for brunch. The dinner menu was not very good. We were disappointed in our food; fish and chips and fish sandwich were not as great as recommended by our server.
Meal was great. We all enjoyed what we ordered and did some sharing.
I was disappointed that lunch specials of soup and sandwich was not available
This is my most favourite restaurant, and restaurant chain
Visited Baxters Landing for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was accommodating for our group of 8 people and didn't mind that I brought some table decorations and our own cake. Food was good and was served hot and our server was very good. My only comment is that we would have liked to be on the patio but the tables where the heaters are located were unable to move and therefore we could not sit 8 of us together. Keep up the good work Baxters.
Our meal was very good. We were seated by a door that led to the patio, which was constantly slamming closed which did hurt the ambiance a bit. Other than that our experience was very positive.
My husband is very picky about restaurants so I was unsure about going somewhere that we have never been. He enjoyed the restaurant and the food.
Although the venue is beautiful and service great, brunch was pretty disappointing. The peameal on all plates served was ridden with fat and tasted reheated and rubbery. The normal Bacon had the same fate, tangled, wiry looking and well done and rubbery. I just chicken and waffles which was one waffle cut into 4 pieces, each with a small chicken finger on it.. Really disappointing for the price. The drinks including the Ceasar were good nonetheless, but I would have preferred a diner breakfast over this over priced food... Execution was the problem.
Need more gluten free + dairy free options (combined as one meal)
Great experience, food was fantastic!
We came here for my mom's bday! We had never been before! Hands down best meal we have had in ages! Everything was delicious! Literally not one thing to complain about! We love that everything is made in house! You can always tell quality food when you taste it! The carbonara and goat cheese ravioli were to die for! And our server was awesome!! He was so friendly and helpful! He spoiled my mom with a birthday dessert..the sticky toffee..it was PHENOMENAL! As was the cheesecake!! I could eat the caramel with a spoon (and I actually did haha) And the manager! She was very sweet and friendly! Made us feel like we were at home just chatting with aome friends! And the hostess was super cute and bubbly!! Loved her blue dress and her demeanor! Loved the atmosphere! We would absolutely recommend this place and will definately be returning!! Thanks for such a great experience!!!
Super great and friendly. It was my bfs birthday and they brought him an amazing desert for free without us even asking! They didn’t make a massive deal out of it too which was nice!
Mother’s Day dinner with my mother in law who has to eat Gluten Free and she loved her meal (which is soooo rare for us to find). We all loves our food. We will definitely be back for future occasions.
Atmosphere is nice, food is pretty good
Food and Service were outstanding for my dinner with a friend (her birthday)!
Last minute get together with Family turned into a really fun night. Food was good with a good variety. Fun cocktails and good wine list. Service was exceptional.
Deanna our server was fantastic! She was courteous, patient & very professional. She always had a smile on her face & looked as if she really enjoyed working there. Thanks Deanna we will be back! 😊
Everything was perfect! The service was fantastic and the waitress was very knowledgeable. There were so many things we wanted to try, so we counted on her advice for food selections. We were all very happy - from salads to burgers to the Tuna poke, everything was full of flavour. The bar staff makes an excellent caesar (I can't wait to go back on a weekend to get their brunch caesar that includes a lobster tail and slice of pizza). The manager came to check on us and they even threw in some amazing Sticky Toffee pudding because it was my wife's birthday. The warm cookies at the end are a great addition. The service was nice and quick, but not to the point of feeling rushed. Overall, we were all very happy and can't wait to go back.
We were an older group and even tho it was a little noisy, we enjoyed our meals and service was excellent
Great restaurant experience without glaring TVs everywhere. Food came quickly and was quite delicious. Servers were attentive but not annoying. Lots of seating options: bar, tables, or booths.
The menu isn't extensive, but it's well balanced, with enough choices that you can find something to eat. With a smaller menu, the available choices are full of flavour, with the word delicious coming to mind. The ambiance is the perfect setting for such an awesome menu. It was perfect for celebrating my girlfriend's birthday.
Great food. Even as a vegetarian I found there was a good selection. Everything was great. Pizza was delicious.
Terrific place for a business lunch, great fast service, excellent food!
Fish and chips were delicious. Kids portions were generous. Striploin steak dinner was very grizzly and unflavoruful, not worthy of a $30+ price tag.
My wife, my son(visiting) and myself thought it a nice way to spend our family day weekend together. It was our 1st time at the Baxter’s Landing the food was delicious, ambience great and our server Katscan was absolutely a joy to interact with. She was Professional, attentive, pleasant and courteous.
I had the Fish and Chips - amazing, tasty and fresh and delicious. My wife also highly recommends the maple glazed chicken. It’s different but deliciously different. Just a bit too much for a single meal, if you’re an average eater.lastly I would not suggest leaving without trying the mascarpone cheesecake, which by the way is gluten free and you’ll never have guessed. Take it home if you’re too full at the end of your main course. You will not be disappointed. It’s absolutely delicious!!!!!
Great food, everyone’s meal was tasty and well prepared. One vegetarian in our group was very happy with her meal. The 7 year old in the group was happy with her kid’s meal. Good service. Will be back!
Great food, great atmosphere! Would highly recommend it.
This is our second time to Baxter's. The first time was around Christmas 2018 for brunch. The cheesecake-stuffed french toast were amazing and I highly recommend!
This time we had the beef tenderloin and the salmon main courses and that was pretty good. We had the Artisan board as appetizers and that was also very good.
To top it all off, the Leafs were playing against the Montreal Cdns....and the LEAFS WON in overtime! Perfect ending to a great evening at Baxter's Landing! We will be returning...
Had the carbanara pasta very tasty. Others in my party enjoyed their dinner also. Seats are low back not to comfy. Also we were seated beside glass garage type doors that open in the summer, however in the winter cold air gets in so a little uncomfortable. The resturant decor is also nice and the service was good
Overall, my visit here was “meh.” Unfortunately, my pizza came out doused in grease, and I don’t feel the quality of the food reflects the pricing. However, our server was kind and helpful.
Biggest complaint is the noise level. I could barely hear our server, let alone the other people at my table, over the music. I don’t know if this is a tactic to try and turn tables faster, but all it does it make me rethink this spot for future dining plans (this is the third time I’ve been, and it was the same every visit... I don’t think I’ll be back).
One of the biggest reasons people dine out is the combination of service excellence, a relaxed atmosphere, good company, and amazing food, but with the booming music and “DJ,” it’s just not possible to be able to relax and enjoy.
We were very happy with both the food and the service. The food was very tasty, indeed, and presented very nicely. Our server, Danielle was very professional, a credit to Baxter's Landing.
The service was horrendous the night we were there. Clearly understaffed on the floor and in the kitchen. Over an hour wait for food. Food was excellent and hot when it came out, but we had somewhere to be, which we advised when seated.
The restaurant was cold (temperature), it was busy but not insanely busy. I have been to other Landing restuarants much busier and the kitchen has managed to keep up. There were no large groups either.
The server didn't even come to ask if we wanted more drink, or refill our water during the one hour wait, we had to ask the hostess. we expressed our unhappiness, not manager was sent over. Very disappointing.
3rd time to the location. First 2 were for business lunch, this time was for a group dinner on Saturday. Online reservation was easy, had 2 managers stop by multiple times to make sure we were happy. Waitress was engaging and accommodating. Food excellent. What else can I say.
