We love it here. The food is excellent. The service is attentive, friendly, but not overbearing. A family run business that goes the extra mile. It gets very busy later in the week, so be sure to book if you can.

There were six of us at our table and I always have the best time at Bay Spice. This time I had family over from Canada who rarely ate this kind of food and they were a little apprehensive when I told them I'd booked us a table here. By the end of the evening, they were full of praise for the food and said they would come back on their next trip to the UK. For me, Bay Spice is a regular haunt and I love it!

Really nice vibe, wine was great, everything was displayed nicely. I ordered a moderately-spiced meal but it had no spice in at all which was a little disappointing. The vegan options really need to be added onto the menu - I wouldn't come back to this restaurant only because there is no way to check what vegan options there are, apart from to ask the waitor who says everything super quickly and you basically just have no idea what you're ordering! Quite suprising, particularly as it's an Indian restaurant. If they added 'VE' next to vegan options on the menu, I would definitely return. Such a simple thing but it really does make a big difference to the entire experience.

We were meant to go here for out wedding anniversary but due to it being closed because of lockdown we postponed the date. The food was lovely but there was a overly noisy table near us that were so loud (and using bad language) we couldn’t have a conversation. My daughter is autistic so found the whole experience very distressing and ending up crying so we left swiftly as soon as we had finished our food, I even forgot to take my half drunk bottle of wine!

Out with husband for a meal for the first time since lockdown. We usually go to the bay spice several times a year and the food is lovely. We were quite disappointed this visit as felt that the food was not up to its usual standard, being quite bland and lacking in spice. Felt very safe whilst having our under the current circumstances. Feel that they seem to be focusing more on the take away part of the business which is understandable, however did feel let down as it was the first night they were allowed to open.

We had an excellent meal. Very good food with friendly efficient service even though it was very busy. Good atmosphere. Very affordable bottles of a good Prosecco! We were all given a glass of Baileys & some very nice chocolates to finish the meal off....a very nice touch which makes all the difference. Ladies of the party were also given a rose to take home. :) We will definitely be booking again!
