Amazing food and beautiful decor. The service was brilliant.
Tasty cocktails too!
We had a lovely lunch, it’s such a beautiful setting and wonderful service, will definitely return. Thank you BBB
I felt the service was slow and unhelpful. The lady on reception was slouched over her phone and I had to keep turning around to ask if we needed anything. The food was generally poor and the salad was soaked in bland mayonnaise.
There was no Rose wine left!
I also had to let them know that there was only one roll of toilet paper in one loo.
I won’t be returning.
Waiter was fantastic, good service with very quick service of food, lovely deco and we could move tables after the first one was rather warm due to the weather.
Really great setting = love this restaurant whether eating indoors or out. Service with one exception was extremely good and personable. Food so good and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was.
It was lovely - perfect for a get together with mates after lockdown deprivation
It was a beautiful outdoor setting for a Saturday brunch with friends*
The food was fairly good, expensive but worth it for the beautiful outdoor dining.
The service was very slow and ineffective which initially helped as one of our group was late so we weren't getting hassled. However we found we needed to asked for most things twice, sometime 3 times.
The ordering process wasn't particularly pleasant as some of the waiting staff were abrupt and often didn't understand what we were ordering and didn't seem to make any effort to ease the situation.
Despite that, we all had a lovely time.
When we were ready to leave we asked for the bill but after some time someone awkwardly approached us with the bill discreetly and informing us (politely) that we would need to leave soon as the table is reserved for another party.
Luckily we were in good spirits and laughed off the Fawlty Towers nature of our experience ad it was a lovely morning.
It seems that there is a mix of good and bad staff and something missing in the overall management of them/the ordering service
(*apart from the smell of the huge pile of rubbish bags laying in the heat a few metres away from the outdoor dining area but I assume this couldn't be helped).
Fast service, good food at a reasonable price, they've gone wonderfully OTT with the decor, great date night.
Not the first time I’ve visited, but the first in the past two years. Very friendly and welcoming, beautiful decor, delicious food. Only downside was the waitress kept chasing us through our meal like she was trying to turn the table ASAP. Had to keep pushing back saying we needed a few mins etc. But, a super spot, lovely ambiance and really enjoyed the food.
Great staff 👍
The food was really special amazing presentation and great flavours and choices .
I first went to this restaurant over 20 years ago the inside has been re done .
I hated the toilets as they used to be so dark ,I am pleased to see they have been brightened up and look amazing .
The decor all looks fab .
The outside dinning area is also really nice .
We will definitely be going back very soon it is a restaurant for all accessions .
I would absolutely recommend this restaurant .
Food was delicious, location outside the back not so good and very close to another couple dining. Overall it was a nice experience.
Order wrong several times unfortunately.Staff poorly trained.Shame as the place is beautiful
Poor experience here. The service was lacking attentiveness. One dish didn’t arrive and neither did our water. We also didn’t get asked if we would like any top ups or more cocktails after we were finished our first. The bill came out with the missing items on there….won’t be back. Lack of detail. We were in and out in 45 minutes as it was clear our customer wasn’t wanted
Great friendly staff. Efficient and very jovial.
Lovely food and wonderful terrace setting. Love this place; away from the crowds on Portobello Rd, but close enough to feel the vibe.
Will definitely return again.
Really cool vibe and delicious food!
I was very excited to attend this fun restaurant for my boyfriends birthday with some friends, sitting outside in the lovely weather. On the day of the dinner I was given a call to say that we would have to be moved inside at 10pm. It was all understood, and I made it clear we'd appreciate that when we turned up at 830pm the table would be ready so we can get the evening off to a good start. This was not the case. We arrived there was no table laid in site. The outside area looked shabby. It then took 10 minutes to lay the table, we were not offered a menu or drinks to look at or order whilst we were waiting. We then sat down to find that half the table was laid, cutlery was missing for some people and there were no wine glasses or water glasses at all. The tables were a bit dirty and there was clearly no efficiency from the waiters. We then had to ask for menus and drinks to be ordered as it seemed we had been forgotten about. Everything was very slow apart from the food, which was too quick. We ordered food and within 5 minutes it was in front of us, as our first round of cocktails came out, not to mention that some starters were forgotten and then charged on our bill at the end of the night. Food was not good, the starters were crusty and literally thrown on the plate. I would not recommend this place at all, which is ashame given how fun the inside interiors and bar is.
Service was very slow. Starter plates were not cleared whilst the main dishes were served. Requested condiments - arrived after food was finished. Pasta dish had 1 cm of oil in the dish.
Service was very efficient and our waiter was lovely (French gentleman) we had a great overall experience and would return!
Starter was BBQ’d broccoli in satay sauce which was literally a steamed broccoli in a peanut butter Raq
Very nice food. Had the burger and truffle chips. Was offered a non alcoholic gin and tonic by the waiter which was great! Waiter was very lovely young man from up north.
The restaurant was dirty and has seriously gone down hill since we last visited. It felt tired and the service was sub standard for a prime location Notting hill restaurant.
Food was nice. Services was polite but
Food and the Service it was absolutely poor . Never agin and don’t recommended to anyone either
Staff were amazing and prompt. Decor and presentation was excellent and I throughly enjoyed my time at the restaurant would suggest to friend and family. Cocktail (pink delight in particular) were delicious
Very disappointing. Used to go there 20 years ago and it appears that nothing has changed, and I mean literally nothing - the place is in deseperate need of a refurb. It felt grubby and looked shabby. The service was terrible. The cocktails were awful, both in taste and appearance. The food was quite nice but so slow to arrive that most of us had lost our appetite. The staff appeared irritated and seem to have forgotten about us, then gave us the dessert menu before our main course had even arrived. They could do so much better.
Service was poor, though
Some Staff were good. Normally it’s a really fun place to come but tonight was very disappointing
Lovely little place with a small menu of choice, great service
A truly wonderful experience, from start to finish!
Waited 20 mins before came to take drinks order. Service good on whole but too few waiting staff meant waiting too long for everything ... apart from main course which was brought when still eating starters with no intention of taking it away until finished.
Loud but good atmosphere.
Starters were good, sea bream carpaccio was tasty but service was terrible. It took over an hour to get a drink despite asking multiple times, then only 3 water glasses were brought for 4 of us, and we had to ask for another 3/4 times. None of the ladies loos (4 of them) had loo roll at 8.30pm, strange time to run out so asked the front of house - waited 10 mins and still none was brought down so we had to get it from the men’s. Loos were messy and felt dirty. Outdoor seating area is nice but service felt very unprofessional and wouldn’t bother going here again, expensive for what isn’t a great experience
Super overpriced terrible food. Lovely waiters but bad service. We had to ask for salt and pepper and water for the table. A nice place with beautiful ambience and interior in the heart of Notting Hill but never coming again.
Very cosy and intimate ambiance! Food is also good.
Starters we decent but the mains and desserts were very underwhelming
Unfortunately they had some issues in the kitchen and the food was delayed and also did not get the right orders. Besides that the staff was amazing and the ambiance was really nice.
This place has lost its magic. Service was slow and you had to always flag someone down. The food was OK. Had to send one dish back and the eggs in all dishes were overcooked. The staff did comp that one meal we sent back and a round of drinks, but really did not seem to care in their poor service. A manager was not even in duty when we asked. It will take a lot to convince us to come back to what used to be an amazing restaurant in this part of London.
Worst service in London - by far
Nice restaurant. Food was good but if you order the Eton mess you get ice cream with meringue and sauce on top not Eton mess. Asked for tap water 3 times but never arrived. Sit upstairs if you can as a bit livelier
Service was terrible. Food was excellent.
Fabulous birthday lunch
We were sat next to the bar, surrounded by mess on top of it waiting to be cleared and a full bin. Service was pretty slow and the food was over priced for what it was (£12.50 for one slice of bread with avocado on it). All in all, it just left me feeling that it wasn't what I had thought it was going to be like and not really worth travelling there for it. Shame as I can tell parts of the restaurant are probably much nicer.
