Good food, service and atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend
We were particularly impressed by the personal service given to us on Mother's Day. The waitress was attentive and good humoured and kept coming back to check we were ok. We had a lovely table by the window adn the whole experience was delightful.thank you
Excellent lunch to celebrate Mother's Day early. Staff are charming and efficient, food delicious and all at a very reasonable price.
Brilliant attentive staff. The only - is the Loos they are down a set of stairs ok for the able bodied but hard for our oldies. But everything else is great 😁
Have been to the beach house on many occasions and have always had a lovely meal, the staff are always pleasant and helpful well recommend
We have visited the Beach House for lunch with friends on a couple of occasions recently and have very much enjoyed our visits. There is a good menu and the food on offer is of good quality and with good size portions. We will be back!
Amazing staff, very attentive & friendly, food was amazing, a really lovely place, very happy 😊
We go here often and love the place but food and price does let it down a little.
We went to the Beach House for a family meal, three adults and two children under five. The food was amazing, the atmosphere lovely and the staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. My son is a type 1 diabetic and the staff were very helpful in terms of giving me information about the food. We will definitely be going back.
Premise "welcoming" art/craft ambience good food / menu very pleasant staff
A lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was lovely. Great atmosphere.Would recommend anyone to visit the hotel, pet friendly and they even have a resident cat, Lancelot.
We chose The Beach House for a family meal because it is quite close and dog friendly. The dog friendly eating area has long bench seating which a couple of us oldies found uncomfortable to sit at and enter/exit the table. The food was average but what we expected. I would only recommend this place if you need to take your dog with you.
Well priced good food served in pleasant surroundings by friendly staff. Recommended.
Very good overall eating experience,as usual. Waitresses very polite and efficient. Would like to know if the ginger cat is still there?
New Management team since last visit which has made a lot of difference. Good local staff who made you feel very special.
Excellent food and value, with very good choice of wine.
This was our third visit, the pub / hotel itself is an absolute gem & the food has been to a good standard on all three occasions, would recommend.
Lovely roast dinner, very, very tasty, excellent service
It always nice to have pre-dinner drinks on the first floor enclosed balcony overlooking the Isle of Wight. We always take fist time guests to the Beach House. We also enjoy the Specials Menu.
The fish stew was very tasty. Service was good and the place was busy even though it was a very windy evening. The car park was very busy so was quite difficult to find a space. Will return soon
Whilst the service and setting were wonderful, the food was poor unfortunately.
My calamari had to be sent back, it was literally inedible, couldn't bite through it!
It was changed for some potato and beer croquettes, these were also not pleasant - thick with grease and the potato tasted like it was instant mash!
My partner enjoyed his dish however.
Lovely setting and good food & drink. Service was not that good though which was disappointing. Had to ask for a drink, waited a while then asked again. When bottle of prossecco did come it was plonked on table with one glass and cork still in it???
Very good Sunday roast. The main menu and specials look interesting too. Very good service by polite and attentive staff.Lovely old bulding with great views of the IOW. Access to cliff top walk via garden
Good ambience, friendly and informative staff. Lovely views, went there for my Birthday and had a lovely evening.
We have visited The Beach house several times and never disappointed.
Very attractive building and cosy pub feel but the food was not good quality.
The food was excellent particularly the Sole that I had. Choice was impressive too.
The service was good, the food was good and the prices were very reasonable.
Great views, ask for window table if it's for a special occasion. The bathrooms in the cellar are amazing with antique features throughout the whole place.
What a fantasyic way to spend the bank holiday. The dressed crab was superb. Excellent service as always xxxx
Definitely worth a visit, we all enjoyed ourselves immensely.
We have always been very fond of this venue. The views are amazing and the menu was always good and reasonably priced. So we thought we'd have a family Sunday lunch. Oh dear. How disappointing. We arrived on time having booked and stood for sometime waiting to be seated whilst members of staff strolled past ignoring us. Finally seated in a lovely window seat we ordered drinks from a very efficient young lady. No problem. We ordered lunch which arrived fairly promptly. However the young man who brought it to the table didn't know what the dishes were. He announced 2 steak pies which were clearly our salmon pies as they were covered in a white sauce. He didn't ask who had ordered them but just dumped them on the nearest part of the table. Then he brought 2 fish and chips one of which was clearly smaller than the other. I told him the small one was mine to which he just shrugged and abandoned them on the table. The extra vegetables ordered had to be asked for again as they didn't turn up. The food was , as always, very good. However the same performance with the desserts. The young waiter didn't have a clue what anything was and didn't ask who had ordered what. Finally another waiter came to his rescue and sorted out the desserts. Sorry Beach House but this was not the service we expected. I will also mention the hike in prices, less choice especially with the small desserts; only a choice of 3 and 75p more each. We miss the £1.99 or 6 for £10 offer.
Good food in a comfortable and pleasant dining room with great sea view.
The pub was busy when we arrived about 6.30 but the Dining Room was fairly quiet. There were only 2 bar staff on duty and we waited 10 minutes to get a drink. We waited 45 minutes for our main courses ( we had not ordered starters). Other diners were having similar waits and then 1 or 2 meals were arriving with the rest of the table waiting at least 10 minutes. When we queried the delay we were told 'that a large party had booked in before us' . Why not not then book out some of the following slots on Open Table say till 7.30 so that the staff had time to serve the large party before the next diners arrived?
Overall very average pub food with too long a wait. The only read to go to this place are the stunning views from the garden
We love going to the beach the staff are very helpful, the food is good and very reasonable place and you get a fab view. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful place and beautiful food. Had wanted to visit since my last trip to Milford on sea a few years back. Worth waiting for!! I would recommend beach house to anyone in the area.
Fabulous setting, it has the wow factor when you walk in. The service was very good and attentive and the food was awesome! would definitely go again if i was in the area.
As always very welcoming staff, attentive and friendly service. Lovely food, good value and well presented. All within a setting and view that's hard to beat. Would recommend for lunch or drinks with family and friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
Looked around local area for somewhere to eat for a birthday, lots to choose from! Reviews were generally very good, arrived to find table would be ready in 10 minutes and it was. Very welcoming and attentive staff, stately home feel with wood panelled decor, great views and the food was tasty and well presented.
All in all surpassed expectations, will be going back when next in the area.
Had a fantastic meal Prawn Cocktail was huge and the Dressed crab was perfect could not find room for a pudding
The drinks were reasonably priced The service fantastic and you were treated as a very special guest
Wont be long before we will book again
We're not local but always call in when visiting our son in Poole. Easy parking, food all day and a great location. Staff are always pleasant and the ambience is friendly. Good prices for comfort food.
