If you want really fresh crab and lobster and very tasty quality beef, then this is the go to place. Mind you, You’ll pay for this quality but it is worth it. My wife and I had crab legs to start, which were delicious and the wagyu beef, which was probably the best steak we’d had anywhere. Slightly under cooked for what we’d ordered but almost perfect. I’m not to sure about the big long tables but this would only be a problem if they were really busy. Overall very smart restaurant and we’ll definitely return.
Great staff. Even got the crabs out of the tank for us to hold!
We thought the whole evening was excellent ranging from food to service.
Once again Beast smashes it out of the park. Service and food very much on point and leaves both Goodman and Hawksmoor with much to be desired.
Amazing crab and steaks; fresh and delicious. Friendly service and a room that is lively and festive without being loud.
The steak is finger licking gooooood! I understand the quality is great, but it is a bit overpriced for the portions.
Stunning! Food, service, wine list.
Never disappointing! Great consistency with quality. Everything on the table was delicious - especially recommend the chateaubriand or king crab legs, great truffle chips, and veggie sides. Polite and efficient service, lovely atmosphere. Perfect for large groups and sharing.
Wonderful venue and chose a Monday night so not so busy for special occasion. Just the two of us, the staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the food was a delight.
Great food and excellent service
The food was great, one of the better steaks I've had, and the service was impeccable, really enjoyed the meal.
So why am I rating it lower?
1) I didn't like the ambiance - cafeteria/family style can be fun but that combined with overly loud music meant that when it started to fill up you felt like you were in a pub rather than a nice restaurant.
2) transparency of pricing and value for money. 1 large grilled prawn for £21 is pretty steep. We ordered the chateaubriand for two and it was lovely but at no time did the waiter explain that was a £90 steak.
I completely understand market pricing and paying for quality BUT the waiter should have given us a price when we ordered.
All in all I could have gone to Hawksmoor or Goodmans and had just as good a meal for literally half the price.
The food was amazing!
Love the place. Food is amazing.
Took a slightly longer time to get our first dish on the table. There’s no bread and butter.
Very pricy compared to other fancy dining restaurants with the same standard
The food and service were excellent. However the long tables are not my style as you are seated next to others who you have never met allowing no privacy at all. The tables are also broad so talking across the table is difficult and made much worse by the relatively loud music. So it’s only a place to go if you want good food and are happy to sacrifice communication.
Fantastic lunch, food was amazing!
Highly ambitious super friendly staff.
Love to come back soon.
the waiters went the extra mile, i explained about my disability, my arm is paralysed, so asked for my steak to be cut up into bite size pieces, when my meal arrived they had even taken my crab meat out of its shell for me, thankyou so much....
Fantastic food and great ambience.
Loved the layout and the tanks full of giant crab
We visited the restaurant as a group of 5 including a five-year old for lunch. The restaurant was quiet, but the staff were extremely welcoming even with a child and made our experience very special. Thank you.
Had a gr at night with family. Great service and staff very accommodating of my annoying 4 year old. My favourite restaurant in London!
Fantastic Dinner!! Nice meat, nice wine and fantastic location!
Very compliments at ALL the staff
Unbelievably great oysters, beautiful steaks and best truffle chips everrr tasted. Great memorable occasion with my gorgeous date!
One of the best experiences. Food was extremely good, a very good selection of best wine brands. Atmosphere is very vibrant and staff were very helpful.
I highly recommend and will definitely come back again.
It was a lovely experience to take my children there. The food is always great, the staff are very accommodating and friendly. The whole experience was really great.
Son going off to college
Good steak and lobster / king crab restaurant. We decided to try Beast after being told about it by their sister establishment Goodman Maddox Street. The quality of steaks as well as the variety was what we expected. The concept of seating being all on large shared tables was not to our liking. The service was excellent. We are still devotees of Goodman as the best steaks in London but this would be our second choice.
Excellent service. Top staff. Great food.
Absolutely fantastic. King crab was the bomb. Amazing wine list.
Overall a very good experience - food quality was first class and it is a pleasant change/alternative to have U.S.D.A beef which was delicious. It is also very unusual to get King Crab in London and I prefer it to Lobster. However my crab legs were slightly overcooked and this was a shame since the flesh then sticks to the inside of the shell - it is easily done however it is expensive and therefore deserving of special care in the preparation.
Service was charming and sufficiently attentive without being intrusive.
I didnt think that I would like the communal tables but in the event they were fine - I wonder whether if the resaurant was full I would feel the same.
All great until the very last moment after we had paid the waiter (including service charge) and he threw the credit card back on the table with the receipt and walked off, no 'thank you, enjoy the rest of your evening'. Completely unnecessary and ruined the atmosphere.
Quality and taste of food great. Crab is expensive but you know that beforehand if you preview the menu.
Extortionately expensive for what it was
Wonderful experience, our waiter was exceptional.
Outstanding care and attention to detail to ensure guests with food allergies meals were prepared without the allergens specified.
the food was great in a nice ambience but a bit too pricy
This is by far my favourite restaurant. Great food excellent customer service.
Birthday meal for my brother and it was gorgeous! Had a drink in the bar after and the blonde waitress (who's name I've forgotten!) was very lovely and helpful in choosing a gin
Everything was Great except the noise. The room set up and Music makes people talk loud to hearxeach other over the Big tables. And as the room is not Sound secured it brings a lot of noise.
Great service. Excellent hospitality. A beautiful wine selection
What a disappointment. At £186 a head we could have eaten in some of the best restaurants in London, unfortunately Beast isn't one. Steak is average, crab is good but not worth price. Service was very bad, they didn't know menus and English was a barrier to communication. Wine came out corked, was told it was 'organic', eventually they asked bar person to taste it and was confirmed corked. No apology just new glass slammed down on table. Potentially a great concept but it's execution is terrible and there are a hundred restaurants worth trying ahead and would be far cheaper. We left feeling ripped off and highly unsatisfied
A VERY expensive meal but not something you can get anywhere else in the UK.
It's a great place to come for a dinner and the Alaskan King Crab is a highlight, however, not worth the price.
Long bench tables ideal for groups of around say 10, 5 either side, friends, colleagues or teams. Play the seat switching game to ensure people on ends not left out from centre of attraction. Lots of quality crustacea and beef options to choose from. Large sharing plates are best. Patio before hand in evening sun was a good start for the sharpener, then into the restaurant with some excellent wine choices. Staff very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Always seemed to be available when needed and anticipated empty wine bottles ! Quite expensive. A restaurant for someone with a solid expense account. Buzzy, noisy atmosphere.
