Our waiter Michael was amazing!!
Amazing service from Micheal. He was so friendly, and took such great care of us!
Spaghetti was not that great. The veal Ragu was amazing
Great value for money with an extensive wine list
The staff is informative and lovely - took excellent care of us. The specials they offer on pasta and wine are amazing! The ambiance was lovely. I didn’t love the pastas offered that night found them a tad salty that is my only complaint. Would def go back!
The service and food were excellent as well as price.
A wonderful restaurant. Never disappointed!!
I go to Becco every time I’m in NYC and after every Broadway show.
Loved Becco!! Wait staff was excellent. Food excellent! Really enjoyed our lunch.
I've eaten at Becco's many times and have never been disappointed except in my stomach for not being able to eat more.
We’ve heard great things, so we were excited to try. I’d try again when it’s not a rushed theater seating.
We were seated upstairs in a corner and situated so tightly packed in we were cornered in. There was an old olive and bread crumbs on our table when we were seated. The food was fine but not overly memorable in a good way and our waiter was very rushed, literally tossed a menu in guest’s lap while glancing across the room. He also forgot our drinks. Bread was burned, and breadsticks were tooth-breakers. Hummus was delightful. Cesar salad was nicely presented but had a lot of wilted greens. Spaghetti was overloaded with salt, Penne was good, fusilli was as great as my grandmother’s church supper Mac & cheese, which is a compliment, but also not what I would have expected. Coffee was great, deserts didn’t appeal.
Needless to say, I think we were there on an off day.
I first went to Becco 10 years ago on the recommendation from a friend. I am happy to say that I return each time for a lovely meal. Sometimes I am in the mood for the pasta specialty. On Saturday I was in the mood for steak and it was delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants when we come to NYC. Excellent food, great service, reasonably priced. Bartenders make an excellent martini (not everyone does) and the wine list is very nice as well. My husband had the grilled veal chop - best he's ever had. The rest of us couldn't decide so we went for the three pastas that were offered Saturday night. We had a hard time deciding which we liked the best. Look forward to our next visit.
Omg. The food was amazing!
The tables are packed in and the crowd is clearly tourist-heavy. The pasta, entrees, and dessert were delicious, though, and more than made up for the noise and crowd. The servers came so often to try to refill my pasta I couldn't keep up.
This was our first time at Becco. It was definitely everything we were told. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We both had the “all you can eat “ pasta. It was unbelievable how good pasta can really be. We were told they change the offerings of the three different types of pasta you can pick from all the time so you are not getting the same thing every time you go. We will definitely be back.
The food and service were very good but the place is too crowded with people standing in the bar area on top of the people eating making it very uncomfortable for the people eating.
food was outstanding!! never disappoints. The short ribs were the most tender that I have ever eaten
We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday after a show. Our waiter was very helpful with guiding me which entree would be good for me since I have a food allergy. Both of my daughters and my wife also had satisfying meals. We enjoyed the full dining experience.
Pre matinee dining. Excellent food. Service was good and mindful of show times to ensure we were able to make our show.
Great meal with the family!
Great food, good service, way too loud.
First time at Becco (yeah, I know, it's only been there since like 1992!). Friday night, on Restaurant Row, and we were not going pre-theater. Guess that's why we were able to get a 7:45 pm reservation just 2 days prior. We had the Sinfonia di Pasta - 3 pastas, served tableside, all you can eat. Turns out, none of us (table of 3) were able to eat seconds! That said, all 3 pastas were quite good - our favorite being the linguini with clams - very garlicky and real clams. The other two were a farfalle in red sauce, and a mushroom ravioli. The meal comes with choice of caesar salad or a Misto (mixture of grilled vegetables and marinated seafood) - both were very well prepared. All this for $25.95 per person makes for a really good deal. We added on some drinks and the dessert platter for 2 (which was enough for the 3 of us). All in all, a very enjoyable dinner at a reasonable price point. We plan to go back to try some of the main dishes, and sample the $35 wine bottle list. This would certainly be a great pre-theater choice as well, but I'd guess that you need to reserve early for a Friday or Saturday night.
Unfortunately they placed us by the bar area and we kept on getting hit by people squeezing by the bar area. And not to mention people just lingering in the bar area. Was not pleasant. Pasta was tasty by over cooked. Our server was very nice but they should rethink putting dining tables near bar area
Fantastic dinner! Amazing service!
The apps were very bland or off in taste. The entrees were decent but not anything special. One standout were the mushroom ravioli, otherwise the meal was just OK. Service was good. The table we were seated at was extremely small and could not even fit the bread basket and dip without having to tilt and move all other items on the table. Maybe using smaller bread baskets for tables of two would help.
Amazing food and service
Not for native New Yorkers. This place is for tourists. The tables are packed in tightly and are so close it is uncomfortable. I am not sure what the hype is about because I was underwhelmed by the food as well.
Great for pre-theater dining. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Becco.
Great service and food!
They were very welcoming, could have done without the phoney Italian accents as two of our party were non-native English speakers. Food was mostly good, we had the sinfonia di pasta which consisted of a fairly good fettuccine Bolognese, a watery, slightly manky rigatoni and a divine baked pasta shells filled with cheese. The 3 stars for the food is because of the rigatoni. The others and starters were great.
Our experience was perhaps marred slightly by the fact that we were under time pressure as we were due at the theatre, and two of our guests were delayed from the airport, neither of which were the restaurant’s fault. I’d like to go back sometime when I’m not under pressure of time and explore the menu a bit more.
They know how to do it. Large restaurant but able space between tables.
Fantastic food and service! Our waiter was terrific- very attentive and knew his wine! Great value and ambiance!! I would highly recommend Becco to friends and family! Delicious Italian food!!
This was an amazing Italian Restaurant; from the food to the wine we were impressed. Both my wife and myself ordered the unlimited pasta entree and it came with three different pastas plus a salad! We walked away with full bellies and if we will ever be back to NY we will go back her FOR SURE!
We regularly visit Becco for a con
This restaurant has been highly recommended and it did not disappoint. When we got there they asked us what show we were seeing to make sure we got out of there in time. The food was amazing and service just as great. Can’t wait to go back
Tables very cramped together .
I've been to Becco twice. Both times it was amazing. This time I ordered the pasta special which was so good and fresh! The homemade pasta was very good - as were the sauces. The appetizer special was so different and the tastes were like an explosion in my mouth of awesomeness - if that makes sense. Lidia is so talented and she makes even peasant food taste so good and fresh - different from anything I've ever eaten before. I feel like I know her lol as I've watched her show for years. She makes it look easy, which I know it is not. I look forward to going to Becco another time in the near future!
Food was good. Overall experience was good. Our waiter was a bit of a fast talker. Rattled through the specials so fast, our heads were spinning! The waiters sang happy birthday! The drinks were good. Disappointed that the only pasta offerings were that Sinfonia thing, which didn’t seem appealing.
Becco has been our favorite go to spot for pre-theater dining, however yesterday’s dining experience was a bitter disappointment. The service and ambience were perfect but the food was terrible. The chicken parmigiana had no taste and neither did the three pastas which were also very cold.
Nevertheless, Becco is still a favorite and we will be back. Perhaps it was an off day.
