Zero customers in the restaurant started the order and looked like not much to order... No sparkling water, no bottle water .... pretty much nothing . The onion ring, no more. Calamari, no more... So we left for another place
Check this place out.
Jambalaya was amazing
The food could be seasoned more and put more shrimp in the platter instead of the clams and muscles. It wasn’t portioned enough
Awful ambience. Terrible service.
We had the Dine LA menu. We chose the ahi tuna tartare and ceviche for appetizers, which were just okay. The tuna was stringy and had an odd flavor to it, also a bit too tangy. However, the main entrees were amazing: lobster with garlic noodles, a little on the sweet side for the noodles, but very good. The portions were generous. The Cajun seafood platter for one was also very good, the Cajun sauce is delicious! For dessert, we had the deconstructed cheesecake with funnel cake, and the chocoflan, which was chocolate cake with caramel flan. I loved the cheesecake w/funnel cake, it was wonderfully crispy. The chocolate was too sugary, but the caramel flan was great. The restaurant wasn’t full by far, maybe near half full, but service was really slow. I think the kitchen was having issues, the server couldn’t find a shell cracker for us for a long time and eventually had to wash one herself. I honestly don’t know why they wouldn’t have more of these things , at least one for every table? Overall, it was still an enjoyable experience.
we were there for Dine LA, it took 20 minutes just to get water and the place was virtually empty... some food items not available, drinks were expensive and weak. Food had not taste, no spices not even salt on the table. I felt bad for the one waiter who was trying his best to accommodate everyone. One table of two walked out after 15 minutes. It may have been just a bad day, but we shall not return
We went for Dine L.A. week during our lunch hour. There was one waitperson for the entire place, however it was not very crowded. After waiting for our food for over an hour and not receiving anything, including our appetizers, we had to walk out as our break was over. We still had to stop and buy lunch somewhere else. Additionally, their bathroom (and kitchen?) had severe sewage odor problems. I did speak with a manager the next day about these issues, but my experience still stands.
We were there for dineLA lunch. I chose Shrimp & Octopus Ceviche and Cajun Seafood Lunch Platter. Both were excellent and the platter is huge. My husband chose Curry Prawn Salad and Clam and Wild Mushrrom Pasta. The prawns and the salad are pretty good, but the pasta is just ok.
There was only one person serving all the tables. I guess it is hard to find good help these days for restaurants. Our waitor is probably the manager. He was super nice. We were the 1st customers there and ordered as soon as we sat down, so we got our food relatively fast.
Great ambiance for casual dining and delicious food. The Dineinla app confirmed the reservation for 2 at a special rate of $35 per person total $70 at 5pm. But the restaurant claimed the rate was only available for lunch with cut off time at 4pm. We were graciously offered the lunch menu for dinner for which we gladly accepted. The Cajun seafood plate was delicious and cured our hunger pangs. We also had appetizers included with our meals. Our waiter was so polite and professional. The drinks - pale ale and blueberry mojito - were awesome (not part of the package). Will come back again.
Took advantage of finally trying Beer and Claw during DineLA21! Great decision! The dinner menu many good choices and making it hard to choose. The service was very attentive. Can't wait to return and try other things on the menu! And maybe another bloody mary!
The bathroom smelled funky...but maybe that's any seafood boil place lol. The food was great and the servers were so nice, (Shout out to Mickey!)
Disappointed in the outdoor dining (to be fair, in the age of covid, what can they do), and the seafood fried rice had zero flavor, although it looked gorgeous. The serving staff was very friendly and professional.
Tables were set up in the alley. Great service and food.
You guys, this place is bomb. Get the platter, its like 140 bucks and you get a whole lobster 🦞, crab 🦀 legs, potatoes, sausage, crawfish, mussels, clams etc with sides and literally the best selection or beers, I prefer IPA but everything they carry is credible and delicious 😋!
The waitress was annoying and kept saying “oh yeah” like the kool aid man. She also went missing when we actually needed her. Had to order our own drinks from the bar. Probably won’t be back.
Food was great. Service was great. Will most definitely be back.
Went for lunch. Very courteous & Covid cautions were taken. Service was prompt. Not rushed. Everyone was socially distanced. I went on weekday.
The lobster with cheese had no lobster in it, which was very confusing. The oysters were very good and the sliders were delicious.
We arrived at noon and were the only diners. After about 10 minutes the waitress came out with menus. She returned shortly and took our selections from the Dine LA menu. Drinks were supplied about 10 minutes later and 30 minutes after ordering we were informed they didn't have any oysters (my selection as an appetizer). I was offered two other choices which came at 12:45. The poke was overpowered by the teriyaki sauce and the octopus and shrimp in the ceviche. By 1 there were 3 other tables seated (a total of 7 other people) and no one had their food. Shortly after we did receive our entries but at that point had lost our appetite. Dining in alleys may be one of our only options during the COVID restrictions, but it's not someplace I want to linger while the delivery trucks arrive and the smokers walk through.
I had heard good things about the restaurant and was so disappointed in the meal I immediately e-mailed the restaurant letting them know the situation. So far I have received no response from them. For a lunch costing more than $70 I expect FAR better service and food. This was over priced, over cooked, and under served!
Good food, good staff
Came here for DineLA and was seated in their outdoor patio area. It wasn’t busy so it felt safe, but nonetheless, staff took extra precautions that made us feel comfortable. Food came out in a timely manner and tasted great. Service was excellent and they were attentive while keeping their distance and super friendly. I would definitely come back again to dine/do take out.
There were 3 tables at the highest time of traffic and our server was almost always no where to be found. End up being served by another server.
Excellent. A bit overpriced, but great fresh seafood. Great!
I brought my fiancé here for Valentine’s Day and we had a great time. Food was great, our server Anna was outstanding. Did not see a single employee without a smile on their face. Everyone was very kind and attentive. We stayed for about 4 hours because time flys when you’re having fun. The only little complaint I had was that the light bulbs where we were sat would flicker quite abit but we easily ended up ignoring it. Overall had an excellent experience and we will be returning soon. :)
The service was amazing. The staff was great. The flavor of the food did not stand out. I wanted my mouth to dance, I was really looking forward to be blown away. But fell short pretty hard. Fried shrimp had no flavor. The gyoza was probably the best tasting thing on the menu. Even desert was weak, chocolate cake? No, it was more of a moose, and was tiny. The atmosphere was great. Again staff was awesome and super friendly!
Great food, good prices. Cocktail were okay but I’d go back for the crab legs.
Family friendly, friendly servers, good bartenders, food is good, somthing for everyone, I just had my birthday dinner here and it's a fun place to have a party
$60 for dinner. Came with a cocktail, appetizers, entree, and dessert. Very great value for the amount of food. Not sure if that would be the case for regular prices for dinner.
Our server Richard was A1! Very calculated and came by at the right time to check on us. Had great suggestions. Food was great. Would ask for extra spicy next time. Would def go back.
Poor Boy was good.
Fettuccine with seafood was good, but lacked salt and needed more sauce.
Onion rings were greasy and somewhat soggy.
Poke appetizer was somewhat bland.
No coffee—told they were out.
Waitress very nice but lacked experience.
Place was empty compared to other area restaurants.
Maybe does better for happy hour?
Great dineLA deal.
Food is mostly very good: skip dessert. Service was very variable and dishes came out singly and at weird intervals.
Exceeded my expectations! Food was great. The drinks were tasty too.
The place is small but you cant miss it. The dinner area is bigger than the happy hour area and I thought that was weird. The menu is a tad bit expensive, the Dine LA options they give were minimal so i opted for happy hour.
I ordered the pork belly, ahi tuna crisps, buffalo wings and a shrimp po boy. I looooved the ahi tuna crisps but did not enioy the pork belly or the mushy buffalo wings. The shrimp po boy had some sauce on it that was not appealing but the fries were good. I would definitely recommend happy hour, dinner, I dont know
the place was neat and lots of room the service was outstanding and food was great plan to go back in the future
Great food, great location and great customer service.
Food was good. Except for the peaches desert, they were grilled, but they must of not cleaned the grill cause they tasted like meat. The drinks were ok they could be better. Overall it was ok.
Our server was great. Food was delicious. Pricing was a bit high. I am glad that this facility was part of the DineLA experience. Although it took awhile to obtain our food, it was worth the wait.
Vibrant environment, friendly servers, fresh high quality seafood, but most of the dishes were WAY too salty! The garlic noodles were tasty except it was too salty. After two bites, it was hard to keep eating. The seafood platter was good sized but again, salt overpowered every other flavor. The loaded pork belly fries were good, though it's basically fries with bacon bits and cheese sauce. I wouldn't come again because the food was just very mediocre.
We were there for Dine LA and dinner menu was fantastic! Great value and many, many delicious things in the menu to choose from. Will definitely go back very soon to try other things. Service was also very good!
