                                Belair is a beautiful house in lovely grounds, but the experience was only okay and could have been so much better for the price. The Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea was booked for 4pm but we were given a menu for a roast dinner on arrival, which most guests were still eating in a loud echoey room. It was a very small table in a corner for 5 people with 3 on one side touching elbows. We had expected comfy chairs and traditional teapots, not glass and plastic cafetières. We had to request sandwiches 24-48 hrs ahead and asked for brown bread but it was mostly white. The cakes and scones were tasty, but we didn’t expect an extra service charge on top of the £50 pp tea. If you’re going to up the price you really need to up the experience!

                                A beautiful place to dine. They were kind, patient and accommodating. The service was wonderful and the food divine. We had Afternoon Tea and they supplied a box to take home as we could not finish it all. The Christmas decorations are elegant, the fire was lit and made it feel cosy. We are definitely going back.

                                I was booked for Sunday Roast but the evening before I received an email telling me the chef had an emergency and they would not be opening the restaurant the next day, so I can’t comment but I won’t be in a hurry to book again

                                Food was very average - even with a limited menu not all choices were available- certainly not worth the cost. It is a lovely building in a beautiful location and should be buzzing on a Sunday - but there was only one other table occupied while we were there and no atmosphere at all. Our waitress was very pleasant but overall not an experience that we will repeat

                                Belair house has just re-opened and we were the only customers in the dining room - the service was excellent and food was good.

                                I booked a table for my father's birthday through OpenTable. When I arrived, the Belair House was closed for lunch. I can't express how upset and angry I was that a reservation was permitted to be made when the restaurant was closed.

                                Belair is in a beautiful setting, the rooms are elegant and spacious the food was delicious but there is a little something that is missing too make it a special experience. The food was very tasty.
