Amazing restaurant with beautiful prepared food made with passion. Gorgeous flavours and staff that know what they are talking about. 2nd cist, as good as the first.
Great food. Lovely quirky informal vibe. Great well informed and helpful service.
Brilliant take on the Persian cuisine with delicious variations and flavours which you don't get in your standard Persian restaurant! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and all very reasonably priced. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again!
Brilliant place, will definitely be going again. The waitress was lovely, very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. She was great with the children and even took the baby for a short while so we could eat. Fantastic service!
Belgrave is one of my favorite Persian restaurants in London. The dishes are designed, cooked and presented with full attention to details.
Great food and cocktails.
Very nice and calm atmosphere.nice selection of music with huge variety.
Excellent food with delightful flavors. Hidden gem in St. John's wood in London.
Great food and friendly staff. Will go back!
The ambiance and service was outstanding, food was delicious and beautifully described but fell just a bit short of the hype.
Very attentive staff, delicious food! Would recommend getting some tapas to share if you're going for mains, they are just so delicious. I was really impressed with all the food I ate. They have some very interesting non-alcoholic drinks too
By far the best Persian restaurant in town! A hidden gem in St John’s Wood... don't expect the typical chelokabab, expect the best local cuisines Iran has got to offer! Well done and thank you for making our night so special with great food, hospitality and warmth. Go with an open mind, try everything and enjoy. Best of luck! We’ll definitely go back.
friendly staff and great food - we really enjoyed our first visit
Great find, amazing food, all freshly prepared with passion. Delicious flavours and would highly recommend.
Amazing fusion food great atmosphere and people, would certainly recommend
Excellenct food and service. Bit small so ideal for large bookings
Im an active food critic
Belgrave is a unique ambiance
And the food comes in a lovely presentation and taste beautiful.
Last time i had tahchin (crispy saffron rice cake)
And the taste of persia and chocolate fondant and macaroons with saffron ice cream and it was absolutely delicious.
Im persian myself and i visit belgrave every now and then and both take my iranian and non iranian mates there and what we all agree on as the downpoint is that this place is abit overpriced for the overall experience from small plates to the main everything on the menu is about 4-6£ extra to what its plated and worth !
And recently we’re tried their new pomegranate wine from armenia Which turned out 9£ a glass and 30£ a bottle
on the menu which wasn’t quite to my palate !
Hope they keep the good and improve the negative
I still highly recommend and i will come back.
Amazing good quality persian infusion food, we loved every dish, artsy cool presentation in an authentic ambiance !! Definitely will go back 😊
Honestly some of the nicest food we have eaten in London. Full of flavour. The service was exceptional and they clearly care about their customers. The place is beautifully designed down to every detail. Would go back in a heartbeat.
The food was awesome, the host was very nice and welcoming and welcomed us by surname as if she was expecting us.
The portions were all very good and not too much, this is a family run place by people who actually care about food and take pride in hospitality
We originally had a lunch reservation that we couldn't make due to our travels, but made it a few hours later for an early dinner reservation. The hostess who is also an owner of the restaurant showed us to a table, then before we were seated began to explain how she was expecting us for lunch and we didn't show up for the reservation and she tried to call us but couldn't get through and so on... I told her to look again for our dinner reservation, as she had not checked it yet.
We had planned to enjoy a relaxing, leisure dinner of authentic Persian food. However, because of the strange, lengthy greeting, we ordered a few dishes to share, with one drink each and ended the evening at Belgrave early.
We went for a Christmas Day meal. Food was very good along with some unique and very good cocktails that I have not seen anywhere else. Two of us had the lamb with rice, one of us had the traditional chicken dish encrusted in a pilaf and one of us had the chicken stew served with rice. Service was excellent as was the food. Highly recommended!
I met an old friend for lunch in St John's Wood and we had a really excellent meal at the Belgrave. My friend had recently visited Iran for the first time and was very enthusiastic about Persian food. We were treated to some marvellous food at the Belgrave and - a rare treat - pomegranate wine. The restaurant sources some ingredients directly from Iran so we were simply lucky that this wine was available. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation for the warmth and friendliness of our reception and for the food and service, which were equally superb.
My Husband Michael and I visited this beautiful restaurant 3 times in our 3 days London trip. The Manager is a brilliant host, with her lovely Brother/Master Chef , Amin. All of their food is made with love, from organic ingredients. It’s so delicious, tasty and well put together and presented. A big thank you to the Manager, Honey who made us feel welcome and cared for. Thank you guys for your warm hospitality and delicious food. We cannot wait to come back to your lovely restaurant.
Very good home food. Beautiful cocktails. Very nice and helpful staff. Authentic Persian home cooking. Recommend it
I've tried middle eastern cuisine but this one was definitely different. We had a lot of help and advice on the menu from our waitress. A quiet neighbourhood restaurant, a little out of the way but worth seeking out for and enjoyable good value experience
Great range of options and the aubergine dishes were particularly tasty.
It's a welcoming place and we were certainly well looked after. There's a good range of wonderfully tasty courses and decent wines too. One to go back to; really enjoyed it.
The food was very good , the waiter excellent, good service.
Lovely ambiance, very friendly staff, great service, amazing food....A must try!
Went for lunch on a Saturday- we were the only people in the restaurant but the food was really delicious! The service was also excellent. We will definitely be back.
Persian food should be served in a traditional way. I didn't like to transform the Persian food to a western food. The idea might be interesting but the implementation was poor.
Tongue should taste like tongue not like cinnamon.
I liked every piece of used material in this restaurant but the way you presented them together was not nice at all. Probably it is better to get a help from a stylist to give more harmony to the ambience.
The bar in the entrance is huge and kills the whole cosy feeling of the place. Please get a help from interior designer and stylist.
I really liked Belgrave, but we were the only table with customers for most of the meal - 8pm on a Thursday evening, that is not ideal. Whilst it suited us for a catch-up meal with attentive service, it doesn't lend to creating the sort of atmosphere that one looks for in most evenings out.
The food was really good, lovely flavours and the meat cooked just right. Gheymeh and bademjoon stews were great.
An exceptional Persian dining experience. The flavors and presentation of the food was near perfect. Their Khoresh is as good as the any in Tehran. Service was very attentive and friendly. We will be back soon.
The food was nicely served and of good quality
The area is too small and cramped for an evening entertainment and there is only one toilet ! The toilet was too small and water was all over the floor
Wonderful place to eat authentic Persian food, beautiful decoration lovely staff and on top of everything delicious food with an exquisite presentation, try Tahchin (rice cake) and saffron beer there.
Cosy and unique
Small yet a versatile menu
Lovely Persian food and so fresh to see more traditional food
Will definitely be back
It's our second time to Belgrave. A hidden gem and new kid on the block, this restaurant specialises in authentic Persian cuisine. Very welcoming staff and great dishes, we will definitely come back again for their ox tongue, smoked aubergine, and slow cooked lamb!
