Great menu, lovey food. Good beers & the staff were superb. Love that it’s all free range Scottish produce. This place deserves to be successful.
Amazing service from the team last night. We were celebrating and was a special date for me and my partner and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great night. The burgers are too die for and the service was spot on. Can't wait to go back.
Five stars - wow what an amazing find! We heard that they have great GF options so was keen to give it a try. The burgers were out of this world and the staff were so knowledgeable about my allergy options. Amazing to come to a place and be so well looked after you and can sit, relax and have a great dining experience. Highly recommend.
Andy and the team at Belted Burgers, Edinburgh took looking after our 17 strong party in their stride. Service was great and personal, great banter with the staff and smashing burgers and beer. Looking forward to seeing our stag’s name on the Belted Beast leaderboard when we go back. All in all a great venue.
We booked a table for 4 and last minute requested a table for 6 instead. They could not have been more appealing on the phone and I had great expectations from the friendly banter. We arrived to friendly knowledgable staff who greeted us to a waiting table, got drinks asap and changed the TV onto the rugby which made for a great atmosphere . The staff despite being very busy were so helpful and made time for every request we made. The burgers, meat and vegetarian were delicious and were perfect for soaking up the liquid refreshments.. I recommend the Bramble cocktail, WOW!! However the wine, beer and water were all refreshingly delicious and having had a wonderful experience we left for Murrayfield....
Amazing gluten free options! As a sufferer of Coeliac Disease, it’s refreshing to find somewhere (FINALLY) with knowledgable staff and wonderful food.
My fiancée and I went to Edinburgh for a 3 days and came back to belted burgers twice because we loved it just so much. Thank you for making our Edinburgh break so enjoyable.
The food and the service was just sensational. My partner was set to order wings, before the girl who was serving us advised her not to because they were looking to change their wings due to bad reviews. This avoided a bad starter and credit must go to the waitress.
The food itself was delicious. I had the Bang Bang Chicken to start and the B-acaroni burger for my main. My partner ordered the ribs for a starter and then had one of the other burgers for her main. Everything was delicious. The chicken was a particular highlight for me, as they were very filling and nicely battered.
The burgers, which are the main attraction for the restaurant, was also delicious. I don't have a bad word to say about the place, and I can't wait to go back in the future.
Best burger ever loved the place and will be back soon great drinks choice 😁
Third time we have visited food excellent and especially gluten free, this time brought my daughters for my birthday and they were impressed. Look forward to our next visit
A good evening with fab food, great selection and friendly fun staff!!!
The venue was a little cold but a very good Burger! Great value for money!
This is my 2nd visit to Belted Edinburgh. Have to say I was very disappointed this time. It was very cold and felt I couldn’t enjoy my meal cos I was cold and so was my friend who sat with her jacket on. The guy who served us seemed more interested in checking himself out in the mirror and took forever to bring a portion of ketchup. We ordered our drinks on arrival and although it was quiet again seemed to take forever for them to come. Unfortunately belted I don’t think I will be back, sorry
Unfortunately our experience wasn't a good one. Waited over an hour to be served our meal. Dissapointed as no communication as to why the delay or even to update us there would be a delay in being served our food. Friends who were with us had been several times before without any issues but were of the same opinion it was terrible. Something obviously went wrong in the kitchen to cause the delay and hence ruined our experience.
I had been looking for restaurants around Edinburgh that served gluten free/wheat free foods and this was on the list to try. Highly recommend it. It was very quiet on the day we booked for lunch which is a pity because it is very good. Server was excellent with my friend and I explaining items on the menu. Would recommend it and will try it again.
Slow service, burgers badly cooked and missing some of their ingredients. No champagne glasses for the champagne they sell. If you like nice food and good service avoid this place.
Overall the visit was good, we booked a table so there was no problem getting seated, kids menu available also, which we weren't expecting. For a table of 3 adults and 2 kids, waiting over 30 minutes for our order is not good enough. The food was okay, nothing special and definitely not the best burgers in Scotland as claimed by Tam Cowan apparently. The serving staff were efficient.
For a restaurant that specializes in burgers, I was disappointed. The pulled pork was fine and the accompaniments that goes with the burgers, but the burger itself was over-cooked (I have had better cooked burgers from McD's). This applied to the whole table. There are better restaurants that serve juicier burgers than this place and I would prefer to go to them first.
As for service, well that was virtually non-existant. After our starters we requested more drinks. The server said he would be back. 15 minutes later we had to call someone else over to get our drinks order taken. Starters took just under an hour to arrive with the main course after the 90 minute mark. Now I like dining where you are not rushed, but this was not good. When the main course was being served, some of the main courses arrived, then the server went and cleaned another table, before the final main courses were delivered to the table.
Has the potential to be a great place, but not the way it was run that day and not with burgers cooked the way they were.
The place was busy because of the Rugby, but if you can't operate a restaurant when full, then there is a problem.
Fab find. The burgers are bloody huge so are the starters for that matter. Nice relaxed place with friendly staff. Price was good but by God I struggled eating, just far too much on my plate. Loved it.
Very enjoyable visit .staff where so friendly and full of information regards the menu .the food was really good .especially the fries .would definately recommend .and cant wait for my next visit.
Lovely meal for our sons birthday. Burgers were excellent. Quiet but it was early on a Monday evening. Staff were attentive and informative.
This was our first visit and all members of our small group were impressed with the menu. We were more than satisfied with our meal - both in quality and quantity. A special mention for the range of beers on offer, sometimes these can often be limited in a restaurant, but this is not the case in Belted Burgers. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. I think we will be back.
Good selection of burgers and beers to choose from. Started with some haggis balls and a small nachos to share. All in all, good quick service and good food at a reasonable price. Will definitely go back and try some of the other burgers. The location is bang in the centre of town so great for going out for a small night cap afterwards!!
Best Burgers I have ever had. Great little place. Very pleasant staff.
We were all a bit underwhelmed with the burger given all the story behind where the meat is sourced. Above average but certainly not edinburghs best. Staff great, friendly, knowledgable and a definite asset but on a personal note wine menu bit poor, not much choice and cocktail for my taste poorly executed. Too much egg in the amaretto sour and not enough sour.
In a competitive burger market there are more to try before I'd return.
