Another beautiful lunch , I caught up with my sister great food , great service especially our waiter very friendly with a great personality which is always a bonus and adds to the experience.
Beautiful setting & wonderful food . A little bit of heaven. Will return.
Nice spot pleasant surrounds good food worth a second visit
Booked a lunch on 23 November. Such a beautiful location, unfortunately we were let down as being a returned customer. Upon entering the restaurant, the lady running the bookshop was having an altercation with one of the waiters. It was a bit awkward to witness that. The food has gone downhill terribly, my partner had unwashed lettuce in his chicken burger and we pulled out two bugs. They didn’t even provide sauce with the chips and then charged us for asking for sauce. The margarita pizza was worse than average. It tasted like tomato sauce and plain cheese with some big tomatoes placed on top. The waiters were absolutely lovely, we cannot fault the service as they were polite and friendly. The bookshop lady made the ambience a bit off-putting, and I felt sorry for the people who were waiting to be seated for 5 minutes while she completely ignored them and straightened books on a shelf. Overall, very underwhelmed.
Very busy day,but food ,service and atmosphere was great.
I regret not staying overnight in Berrima or in closer areas as Bendooley offers more than views. The estate itself showcases a variety including a selection of their fine wines and drinks, meals (would highly recommend the black Angus eye fillet), employees who represents the estate with pride and offers great service and recommendations and a book store - an all in one package if you ever find yourself in the area. I highly recommend, if not I highly insist that you visit the Estate. I will surely be coming back with family and
I’ve had lunch here three times this month, which may indicate how much I love it. The cellar door dining room is a chic art filled space with perfect service and views across the vines. The bookshop dining space has more of a fun casual buzz. Both spaces share a menu which is filled with exactly what you want to eat. Amazing food, staff who love their jobs, new books, old books, all the good things.
Wonderful experience thank you. Meals were superb.
Love Bendooley Estate and will be back over and over again. The books are a genius add x
As usual very good enjoyable every time . Our guests traveled from Sydney to experience the setting and atmosphere.
Really really good food, and considering how popular it is, almost every table occupied, noise level was very reasonable, the food came fast, we were in and out in under 90 minutes. The waitresses were great, but slopped the water and crashed the empty wine bottles every time, which was a bit jarring. Could do with some advance sign-posting outside to let you know you're getting close. Gardens beautifully maintained, everything very clean and appealing.
Went for my daughters 21st birthday
Love the place but the service was a let down , ruined my daughters special day
We ordered pizza and salad to share as entree , no side plate was given , no utensils for the salad?
Thought it would get better with the mains , had to get on asking for things ie spoon for the linguine pasta ?
No attention to detail, had travelled 1.5 hours each way , so disappointing
Lovely relaxed visit. Great food. Enjoyable visit and would highly recommend.
Looking for a place to celebrate and feel special, this is the place to go.
Took my wife and daughter here for our 2nd wedding anniversary, we was very impressed with the set up, food great (lamb shoulder and crab), service very good and the wine exceptional
Would recommend and will definitely be back
Sat out on the deck. Had a lovely glass of Bendooley Reisling. Food delicious. This has been my third visit to the Book barn for lunch - great food and courteous staff. Would highly recommend. Value for money.
Food was absolutely terrific . The pizza and pasta was one of the best I’ve ever had.
As usual, fabulous meal! Lovely Bendooley sparkling, great atmosphere, but rowdy table near us.
A hidden gem that was a delight to visit on a day trip to the southern highlands.
Beautiful view, warming service, and I love the lamb shoulder source 😋
Recommend the Eye Fillet with a bowl of chips, a bottle of red and to finish off a short black and a cheese platter.... we sat out side under an umbrella, temperature 27deg.
The service was fantastic and my friends from Sydney will certainly be back. Jim
Can’t really fault anything. Great food, wine, service and value.
The food was great, but trying to get service was a hard feat! Not sure why the staff are so inattentive, but I wouldn't have expected it from a winery.
Great venue for catching up with friends and the food is always amazing!
A very pleasant lunch. It has expanded since I was last there and getting a reservation seemed easier
This was our 2nd trip to Bendooley Estate for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once again. Beautifully consistent food paired with your beautiful wines.
The surroundings are absolutely stunning, the book barn is beautiful too. The bendooleys cab sav was really nice, food was good and very nice
We are regulars to Bendooley we always look forward to our visits the service, food and ambience is always top shelf , thank you
We ate outside and it was a lovely spot for our family lunch.
Friendly staff and quick delivery. Waitress was very considerate with my friends complicated order
Would have given 5/5 but it was very annoyed to be told the night before that our party of 5 (3 of which were celebrating a birthday) was going to be seated in the cellar door, then to be demoted to the main book/shop area when we arrived for what I can only guess we’re more important customers. I did question this and was given no real explanation. Our waitress was lovely and the food superb but I can’t stand the arrogance that seems to drip each time I dine here.
I always love lunching at Bendooley and Mark is just a fabulous host always making you feel special.
Enjoyed our experience. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Bendooley Estate is such a nice, comfortable and welcoming venue for a pleasant lunch with friends. The menu is good, the wines are nice and the price range is reasonable making this a regular dining venue for us.
We have dined here numerous times and this was our very best experience at Bendooley Estate and could not fault a thing.
High quality food that was absolutely amazing, very friendly staff, fantastic service, all staff were impeccable.
Sitting in the front room is the best position away from the hussle and bussle, it has the best outlook over the garden.
A repeat customer, We will most certainly be back again. :-)
One of the best restaurants in the Southern Highlands. Love it.
Great food great place and service would highly recommend
A beautiful restaurant, lovely food and exceptional service from staff. Very accommodating.
We had a great meal. although there was some confusion about getting our drinks order right.
Could not fault this venue. Fabulous ambience, really friendly and professional staff and the food was delightfully different and delicious.
