Food was OK but service was terrible, despite being less than half full capacity. We had basic orders of 5x brunch and coffees but there were lots of mistakes in orders, hot drinks served cold. It took more than an hour to get our food. Staff were apologetic but didn't give anything for free/discounted and still charged 12.5% service! Wouldn't go back again.

After the drinks order it was difficult to get anyone to take the food order, or indeed pay us any attention. The food came promptly and was quite nice without being anything special. This was a nice place for a drink with a good atmosphere. But wouldn't recommend it for eating.

It was not what I expected from the website. It makes it seem like high end dining and we booked it for a special occasion but it was super casual, like a pub. The toilets were like being in a nightclub, absolutely grotesque with wet toilet rolls and filthy- I was mortified as we were with my in laws. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The menu at Donnelly's is excellent, and the food we had was really good. But this is a bar, not a restaurant. People were screaming, laughing really loudly, and in general making it almost impossible to have a conversation at our table of 2. We repeatedly had to go get the server in order first to get a menu, then to order the food (after 45 minutes of waiting), and then to get the bill. We were extremely disappointed.

The food was good. No complaints about that. However on what was a quiet lunchtime the service was really slow. Being given a QR code to download a PDF menu isn't great but we went with it. However more than once we had to go and ask for someone to come to our table to come and take our orders. The main issue however was the temperature. It was freezing in there. Many of the staff were even wearing coats!

Nice pub for drinks! We often come here but for the first time yesterday we had food too. Food quality really poor unfortunately, the burger was very mediocre, fries were soggy, the vegetarian plates were totally tasteless. Shame as it is a very nice place with good service We will def come back but for drinks only

Overall we had a good experience at Donnellys. The food was excellent and staff helpful although the service was slow. We were expecting lunch but the brunch menu appeared to be the only one on offer on Saturdays, so worth asking for other menus which staff were happy to provide. The atmosphere was lively and the restaurant busy on this occasion.

My Team loved our night out and time together. The venue had a great vibe in this trendy area of London. The staff were really helpful and attentive. Food was delicious (really enjoyed the sirloin!) but also great vegetarian options.

We had a lovely waitress who was very attentive and friendly. The food was scrummy too, we had the spiced aubergine and patatas bravas which made a great meal. I also had the non alcoholic cocktail which was sweet and friuty.

Really wonderful meal. The staff was very helpful with my long list of food allergies, and I still had a delicious dinner. The fish was so fresh, and artfully prepared with delectable grilled fennel. My husband and I both enjoyed that tremendously. My kids' burgers looked juicy and wonderful too. We're traveling, and it was great to have a meal of fresh, healthy, delicious food.

We selected Donnelly’s based in the menu advertised online. The menu we were offered was not the same and consisted of burgers, fish and chips etc We ordered fish and chips and were served French fries with battered fish. Obviously, this is wrong… The fish was greasy that none of us finished our portions and left as soon as possible to get coffee and dessert elsewhere. I would not recommend Donnellys for anything more than a quick pint, if every other pub on Bermondsey street is full.

The food was actually very good! The staff maybe a bit too inexperienced. The usual young people that want to get some money while trying to achieve their real dream (nothing wrong with that, I support it). The real issue is the noise level. I was dining with my girlfriend and we could barely hear each other. So not really recommend for a date night

I felt like i was sitting in a car park the ambiance was loud . More of a pub then a resturante . I was cold sitting eating my meal . My meal was not hot but good steak . It was steak night but you gave nothing extra on the menu. Maybe you should give a free glass of wine etc to promote a steak night. Was not worth having an extra menu you was paying the same as what was on the full menu.

Obviously during this time after the pandemic restaurants are still getting back to normal, so it was very quiet due to this, but I've been there prior to this & it's been a great atmosphere. Service great & food good value for money. A bit more choice would be good but again not sure of supplies during this time.

Enjoyed a night at Donelly's with a friend. There was a bit of confusion as the pizza menu that I thought was the menu for Donelly's was actually the menu for those sitting outside - but it didn't matter as the menu was good anyway. Went for the steak and it was nice and rare as requested. Portion was a little stingy. Dessert of cheesecake was excellent. Service was a little slow but friendly, and the food was tasty.
