Bernardi’s is a restaurant and bar that opened in September 2015. Located in Marylebone, London, the restaurant is set over 2 floors on a beautiful corner site. The menu is simple, modern Italian that's traditional and casual at heart, but with a youthful fresh approach. On the ground floor you will find the main restaurant, with The Dog House (the cocktail bar) located below.

Bernardi’s provides an exciting dining destination within the Portman Estate, offering everything from a morning coffee or breakfast through to lunch, dinner and evening cocktails.

Head Chef Sabrina Gidda picked up the Tatler Rising Star award in 2016 and Bernardi’s has been included in the 2016/17 Michelin Guide.

We've never walk away unhappy, hungry, dis-satisfied, or wishing it had been different. Brava Bernardi's.

This is roughly the 6th or 7th time here. Simply an OUTSTANDING option in a crowded and (all too frequently) overpriced London dining scene. Fill your boots...

Friendly, good service all the way from the front desk (which doubles as rather undercover cloakroom) throughout the dinner.

Great for cocktails in the bar downstairs, although this time we sat upstairs for dinner only.

This was a nice spot for a birthday brunch. The brunch portions are quite small for how much they cost. Overall, the mark-ups could be a little less.

Perfect score! We visited while on vacation. The place was in a great setting, busy and full of energy. The menu isn’t as full you’d expect but it doesn’t have to be. We started with antipasto meats and breads with a reasonable bottle of red. The pasta course of veal ragu and mini penne was stunning. Pasta slightly aldente’ with a nice ole dinner of veal and spices. Great for two people to share. The grilled chop was excellent, cooked to perfection. There was only one food runner for the night but this guy was flying up and down the stairs all evening. Food was timely and piping hot. Service was second to none.

Fabulous choices and wonderful ambience. Service was good and the food sublime.

We will be going back in a couple of days to try the things that we didn’t order.

Delicious! This is my second time within a week of my first visit.
The food is outstanding and authentic. There is a great wine list with a variety of prices.
Would recommend any pasta dish as it is so fresh and comes al dente.

Seul regret, très bruyant ! ce qui rend la dégustation moins agréable, vu qu'il est difficile de communiquer....

I've been here several times and was surprised how slow and inefficient the service was. A gentleman sitting near by was also complaining. I ordered a steak which was the worst steak of my life. Impossible to cut or chew. For £32 and 12% service included will not visit again. Not a good experience at all.

Very cool place but the food was very basic with no real flavour. For the price we expected a lot more especially as the place is very cool and the staff very friendly.

I'm Italian and I know what a good plate of pasta is. I went with one of my girl friends, we had roasted vegetables and potatoes as an antipasto and then orecchiette with pesto. The pasta was amazing, cooked "al dente" how Italians like it. we also ordered 2 different desserts and a bottle of white wine.
we spent £48 each. Fair price considering that just the wine was £40 and the good service.
I would definitely go back to Bernardi's agin.

Food was ok, slightly commercial. The main problem is that the waitress are super pushy. Maybe they really want to have high table turn around. Well not my style.

Whilst the wine was expensive, particularly for a Chianti, I’ve tasted better. We both had fish which was wonderful, fresh and well cooked with good accompaniment. Also had a delightful side dish of pointy green peppers. Good coffee too, and an excellent ambience

Great meal, I had the rabbit ragu and a caraf of Primitivo. Just right for a cold Saturday lunchtime to get away from the crowds. Highly recommended and when I'm next st a loose end I'll be back.

Lovely pre theatre dinner. There wasn’t a pre-theatre set meal so we chose from the al la carte. The waitress was very helpful and as we were in happy hour we had a cocktail and she let us know when the happy hour was ending so we could choose a glass of wine before it finished. The arancini were lovely as was the grilled squid with caponata. Very tasty. Amina were pasta with rabbit and burrito ravioli - we both chose the small portions which were sufficient however wouldn’t be enough if you’d not had starters. Would definitely go again.

Working in the neighbourhood, I meet/eat at Bernardi's often. The staff are great and the food is tasty and authentic. Just ate their this week with a friend who came for the first time and we loved the four dishes we got. Roasted veg starter - yum, Bream and cod dishes very different and both delicious.
A true neighbourhood gem! Great for drinks downstairs (the Dog House) or for breakfast meetings upstairs - very good coffee too.

Although the restaurant has potential, it is not suitable for a date. Very noisy, but to be fair we were seated between a couple who had an argument (very loudly) and a family with two screaming kids. I enjoyed my starter (salad) but the main course (papardelle) was way too salty and couldn't bring myself to eat it. The high prices do not reflect the poor quality of the food. The service was ok- the girls at the reception were very polite and welcoming.

Went for a Valentines meal with my wife. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. They suggested a cocktail for my wife, which she didn't enjoy... so they instantly replaced for another one that she did, with no charge for the first. The beef carpaccio was probably the best I have ever eaten. Top marks. Thank you.

It wasn’t my second time here as I enjoyed the first one that much. However the service wasn’t good at all. I understand it was busy (Tuesday night) but it took over 15’ for a bottle of water after reminding the waiter twice. Same as for the bill.

I chose this restaurant to meet with friends I hadn't seen for a long time.
The service was good but we all noticed that everything came very fast, probably because it was a Monday, not a busy day for them. Just 3 tables were occupied.

We didn't like the taste and cooking of the meat we ordered, in fact I sent it back! The next plate I got, meat again, was better and tastier but still not up to expected standard. The desert was certainly not freshly prepared either.

The bill shocked me, we certainly didn't receive the quality for the value we were being asked to pay.
