Nice food and great service. Went for a lunch with an old colleague and had a nice meal whilst chatting and catching up.
The food was excellent and there was a lovely gentle buzz. However, we did have to ask the waiters several times for our wine and the patate fritter arrived after our main course which was disappointing.
Three of us had an outstanding meal at Bernardi's on a busy Saturday night. The food was excellent, the service attentive but not overbearing and the ambience of the room was such that we could carry on a conversation without having to speak too loudly. All in all it was an outstanding evening.
Absolutely loved every aspect of this restaurant. The food is outstanding, freshest ingredients, prepared to perfection especially the buratta with blood orange and heritage radicchio and the carpaccio. The service is attentive and friendly whilst not being intrusive and they have an impressive selection of wines all at reasonable prices. The cocktail list is also excellent and could tempt you into staying from brunch to dinner to try them all out.
Delicious food, good atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Good food and drinks. The service could have been a lot better, our waitress made a mistake in our order. Not a big deal and it happens and the manager apologised but our waitress didn’t even acknowledge the error. They also served our food twice when there was no one at our table (my friend and nipped to the toilet and then I had to take a call outside - both times the waiters tried to leave our food growing cold at the table rather than wait 2 minutes for our return). For a meal for two we were charged £180 so would expect a higher level of service.
Warm and friendly welcome and tasty food - great neighbourhood restaurant for a relaxing lunch or dinner.
Great fun for all ages; great food, welcoming, unfussy but smart, they really think about the details - they even allow dogs!
This restaurant was an amazing find! The food and cocktails were excellent and the service was professional, warm and friendly.
Good place food good great for a date, the service was good cock tails very good you can buy wine by the carafe which helps when only one of you drinks red wine.
It is a great restaurant, tasty food, with a good service, friendly staff.
It has a smart interior and a lovely ambiance but is relaxed. We had excellent service and delicious food.
Good food and service
Great place with excellent service and perfect food !
Good food and service- pasta mains a little expensive. Wine selection and cocktails very good - lovely staff
I went for lunch with my granddaughter. Our welcome and the ambience was excellent. My granddaughter is Vegan and I have an allergy to chilli, both requests were dealt with professionally and with a smile. It was no trouble. We ordered, service was prompt but not rushed, so far so very good. I had prawns as a starter, they were hard and very dry, the sauce was ‘watery’. Onto the main dish, my granddaughter was happy with her pasta, I had lamb. How disappointing! The meat was extremely chewy, to the point that it was difficult to eat, and the vegetables tasteless. I have visited beforehand for brunch and the meal was pleasant. All in all, it would seem that the chef was not up to standard. Sharron Phillips
First visit, won't be the last. The food was great - best beef carpaccio I've ever had. Pasta was on-point, main of lamb delish, and the desserts got a thumbs-up too. But the star of the show was the service. It wasn't intrusive, but it was super-professional. Every time I looked up to get someone's attention, they were there in a flash. All in all, a lovely evening.
Duck Pappardelle on Monday evening was bitter. Not rich as normal. A bit disappointing. Pointed out the likely component/cause to waiter and requested chef be informed.
Unfriendly front of house, offered an unsuitable table but was moved. Staff not quite sure who was supposed to be doing what. Although waiting staff were friendly. Food was very good.
On arrival our table was ready .courtiously shown to our table drinks order taken within a few minutes . We had cocktails to begin with which were amazing .we had various starters but notably was the carpaccio of beef which was very good then went onto main course which we had crab linguine again fantastic.after our main meal we had to have dessert ,so what better way to Finnish off an Italian meal than having tiramisu .
Overall a great experience and can not wait to come back.
Food was very good, but service was not realy friendly. And it was very loud for conversation. The Tiramisu was very delicious.
The food was great. The only drawback was the noise. So many restaurants are far too noisy these days. It makes having a conversation difficult. Restaurants can reduce noise by adding items like carpets and table linin. Modern minimalist design is hard on the ears and bad for the vocal chords. Restauranteurs need to be reminded their eating establishments are not nightclubs, discos or concert halls.
Fantastic evening until we were picked on ..... apparently there was a two hour window..... not at all mentioned in the booking but a waiter who we hadn’t seen all night suddenly told us ‘ all of london has one’ ( ie two hr window) we had not long been offered and bought another bottle of wine.... clearly an attempt to gain all the money yet not offer a comfortable service. The table next to us did not get asked to move even tho they were only fifteen minutes behind us! I decided as we were 3 women we were seen as an easy target! The waiters were lovely- just this one guy who tried to evict us! Lovely food so a shame about our treatment!
This restaurant has a trendy vibe. The decor is stylish but understated. Staff are friendly. The menu had a good selection of dishes and the portion size was generous. A great go-to restaurant if you want to catch up with friends or take your partner to.
Always great service and food - these guys are on top of it.
It was a mixed experience at Benardi’s / the food was excellent but the service was shockingly poor. We order was wrong, we had to ask for dessert menus and then ask to order dessert. They over charged us for an additional bottle of water and we just couldn’t be bothered to wait again for service.
Loved he food- disappointing service.
I have been many times. This time I was shocked by the terrible service. Three people had to find out table, then we sat down and weren’t given menus had to ask twice. The wine we ordered we were given the wrong bottle. The out plates were not cleared. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks. After our meal we were given desert Menus and never asked if we wanted anything. I asked for the bill three times. I was shocked by the service and would not go back !!!
Great venue, nicely decorated and great food. I’d happily return!
Selected this restaurant pretty much based on the previous reviews and was not disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the time when we reluctantly had to leave, the whole experience was exceptional.
On arrival, we were greeted with a professional warmth lacking in most places today. The restaurant is beautifully styled with a relaxed but competent feel to it. But the staff are some of the best we've encountered recently.
Our waiter was attentive to our needs and was extremely helpful in terms of managing our time limitations (train to catch). He expertly directed us through the menu and the service that ensued was swift without being rushed. Food was delicious.
Definitely planning a return visit when we can savour the whole experience rather than be dashing off for a train.
Well done guys. Wonderful dinner.
Externally and internally decor fabulous and ambience too.. Very nice food, service very quick and unlimited prosecco well worth the deal.
Lunch menu was very good. Relaxed and unhurried service.
Everything as usual was terrific.
As always a great evening. Good food in a vibrant atmosphere.
We enjoyed a very nice dinner with friendly and efficient service. The food is very inventive with excellent pasta and fish which is all served alongside a lively atmosphere. One minor criticism was that the excellent Soave Classico which I ordered was not properly chilled and the staff were unanable to find an ice bucket which somewhat detracted from the wine. Nonetheless Bernardis is well worth a visit.
Generally good but the dishes were a bit too salty.
Excellent food and wine. Service a little slow, as the restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night. Really enjoyed it!
Our go to on the week end brunch! they change the menu regularly and it’s always delicious
I like this restaurant, the service is SO good, the food really is creative, criticism? The provision of so much loud music for Sunday lunch is just unnecessary, the louder the music, the louder people shout until it almost becomes unbearable! (They might like to look at their wine prices, they really are voer the top, good wines but extortionate prices!
Brunch with friends. The food was pleasant enough and I liked the decor. The menu was limited for brunch and there was nothing that appealed to me. The items I ordered ultimately were good though and the waiter was very helpful and attentive
Wonderful place to eat! Food was amazing, the crab linguine was especially good 😁 they even surprised my daughter who was celebrating her 21st birthday with a 'birthday pudding'. We'll definitely be back! Thank You!
