Great place to eat. Service was brilliant, staff very upbeat and made sure we were ok for everything.
I always use Bills to meet with friends and clients for breakfast or brunch. The standard English Breakfast is modest but perfectly formed. Consideration always given to the ingredients… yum!
However on this occasion, we actually found ourselves regretting the decision to dine here. The service seemed rushed. Things were forgotten … my eggs for example! Milk wasn’t frothed properly, greasy bacon and a cooked tomato that looked like it had been dropped and re-plated. Is Bills under new management?
I don’t really write reviews but on this occasion have been moved to by the experience and a sadness that we have potentially lost one of our favourite breakfast joints!!
Food is fresh, tasty and well prepared. Quality ingredients. Smallish portions but still excellent value on the January menu. Charming staff who went above and beyond to provide a superb dining experience (they brought us lots of extra veg as the chef was running low on butternut squash). A cosy, comfortable ambience for a wintry evening. Good wine selection. Looking forward to our next visit.
Pretty good but the bill was wrong as I used a voucher - couldn’t be bothered to quibble but it cost me £20 more than I expected - c’est la vie
Mentioned that we were gluten free and the waitress said her manager needs to take the order for allergies which took then forever. We didn’t get served until half an hour after we’d been sat. They were busy but if we’d been given the gluten free menu in the meantime, it would have been a lot simpler. We both work in a restaurant in London so aware of how important allergies need to be taken but it was just a bit ridiculous that only one person could take the order. Food and drinks were good.
Bills is and has always been a solid place to go for us. The food is good, the service is good and the décor is great. It does however follow this pattern of asking for food allergies and when my wife mentions she is lactose intolerant only a manager can take her order and serve her food. I find this all a little frustrating as it demonstrates a lack of training in the other staff or they could just product a dairy free menu. This aside it was another good experience at Bills
Good varied menu. There was also a set menu but for some reason had to ask to see it. Service was very good - attentive without being over the top.

Really pleased with the service and lunch at Bill's. We were allowed upstairs due to two of our party having hearing difficulties. This helped us greatly!

My breakfast took along time to come say 45 mins or more and then it was cold but I didn’t have time to send it back as it had taken so long .
Beware the only gluten-free pancakes, there is no option for normal American pancakes anymore. Which is a real shame since the gluten free ones are vastly inferior. Not a criticism of the way they were made just that it’s hard to make gluten free pancakes that aren’t dry and crumbly. An odd decision to only offer the gluten free option so we won’t be coming back.

I had egg avocado Florentine , when it was arrives the eggs were cold, wasn't impressed.
I don’t normally leave reviews but after receiving such friendly, welcoming and attentive service from our waiting staff, thought I would take a minute to say so. Well done Bills Brighton, we’ll be back soon!
The food was not up to normal standard that I have come to expect from Bills and didn’t feel like good value for money.

Two of us enjoyed lunch at Bill’s to celebrate a birthday. Food was well-cooked and good for an all-day eatery needing to cover a range of options. Waiter was very accommodating in meeting our wishes.
Pleased to find restaurant was not crowded and had adequate space for manoeuvring wheelchair.
Thanks to Bill’s for gifting us a glass of Prosecco for the occasion!
We went as I'd seen an advert come into my emails and it looked loverly so we decided to go as it was my sons 16th and there was 8 of us. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be going back. The food was superb and staff really looked after us and even popped a candle in my son's dessert.
The look and feel of the place was fabulous and I would highly recommend Bills of Brighton and would not hesitate in going back.

staff were lovely but a mistake meant that my main course didn’t arrive until the other main meals of my party had been finished and cleared away! Disappointing. I had the feeling that they were very understaffed and struggling because of it. I was not charged for my main meal, as was correct, but it was a very nice gesture all the same.
Excellent lunch at Bill's Brighton on bank holiday Monday - Everything just right. Delicious food & drink, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff & beautiful decor. A real treat. Thoroughly recommended.

Food was greasy and not the best we had before in Bills
Service poor, had to wait over an hour for our mains. Two mains good, steak was terrible, dry, tasteless and cold! Worst Bill’s meal we’ve had.
Visited here on New Year’s Day 2022 with 7 members of my family for a 14.15 sitting. Although the staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly we waited over an hour and a half for our food. When it eventually came the sirloin steak meal with garlic butter was cold with the garlic butter a solid lump on top of the steak. Steak was poor quality.
The chicken skewer meal was dry and over cooked and again cold. The minute steak meal was poor too, too sinewy.
On a positive the burger meals and eggs Benedict meals were hot and enjoyed.
We found the whole experience very bad especially considering the price of the food and the service charge that was already added to our Bill. We will not be returning.
Food took 1 hour and 45 to come out, people near us had there’s way before that came in later on . My food was cold and I couldn’t enjoying after waiting a long time.
We were given a very warm welcome and shown upstairs to our table which overlooked the ground floor are of the restaurant. It was a great vantage point to see what was going on in the restaurant.
All the staff were very professional and friendly. The food was delicious.
