The place is brilliant, the staff are amazing and the food is out of this world. We went for breakfast twice and an evening meal as well.
The place feels like home from home it has a good feel to the place.

The set menu, although on the website wasn’t available due to “lack of kitchen preparation” and nor was calamari in the platter, we were offered sausage rolls as a substitute (??), then fish goujons were agreed. I love Bills (Guildford) but sadly Brighton didn’t have the same feel.
Service was quite poor, waiter kept getting confused between us and another table - the wait for our food & the bill was ages

We booked our table for 7pm and the confirmation email said we would have 1 hour 30 mins at our table which is plenty of time for us. We then had something else booked for 9pm so worked out perfect.
We ordered our drinks and the lady bought them over, she gave my boyfriend his drink and then accidentally dropped mine and the glass smashed everywhere. Totally not her fault at all and she was very apologetic. The staff were amazing with this and came straight over to clear the mess up quickly and cleaned our table to ensure there was no glass left and gave us clean cutlery.
She bought a new drink over for me and said it was on her which was very kind and unexpected.
We then ordered our starters and mains at the same time.
Our starter were beautiful. My boyfriend had the chicken skewers and I had the chicken dumplings and they were both absolutely amazing. Was very much looking forward to our mains.
We finished our starters at around 7:50 and patiently waited for our mains. It got to 8:15 and we were getting quite concerned that our mains hadn’t arrived yet. The bar staff didn’t look very busy and was standing around a few times. One of the chefs also came out frequently and didn’t look too stressed either. I would totally understand if they were busy, but they were not.
It got to 8:30 and we had still not received our mains. I really hate complaining, but our table was supposed to be finished by 8:30pm anyway and we had something else booked for 9pm. My boyfriend had to go and speak to someone to ask for our bill as we had to leave to get to our next place. One of the workers checked their till system and came over saying ‘Have you not received your mains’. We said no and he was really shocked. He apologised and told us everything we had had so far was on the house. So we left very hungry and disappointed and moved onto our next place at 9pm and had to get dinner somewhere else. Overall it was not a good experience at all.
Great food and service - we took our 4 year old and she loved it too.
Normally enjoy the food here but I had the steak and eggs and was very unimpressed. Steak was tough and bland while the eggs were overcooked and tasteless.
Service was fine, attentive but not overwhelming so experience only spoilt by my meal.

I ordered the vegan breakfast which was very disappointing. There was not enough food nor variety! My friend had the Garden breakfast which was clearly more enticing and much more food. SUGGESTION given that vegans need to eat as well. ADD to the vegan breakfast: spinach, grilled tofu and some potatoes. That would certainly help. I've had many vegan breakfasts in Brighton and this was by far the most inferior.

Excellent food and service. There were eight in our party for breakfast and everyone said the same.

We ordered Crispy Calamari and Halloumi fries. The halloumi fries were amazing. Unfortunately the calamari didn’t quite live to standard.
For main we had 2 steaks and eggs and a side of chips. The steaks were too dry and appeared over cooked. We wanted medium rare but the waitress suggested having them medium (I don’t know why). The steaks were really hard to chew and has no juice. It was more like chewing on flavourless biltong.
I would have to however state that the service was really good and the staff were very warm and welcoming. It was very unfortunate that the food was not so good. Hopefully our feedback will help the restaurant in some way.
The food at Bills has declined in quality and I find the menu quite boring, I think they could do better.

The experience was, ok. Nothing more. We have been to Bill’s Brighton before and weren’t overly impressed but gave it another try, however the service was slow and the food was average.
We were sat relatively close to the kitchen so could see when plates were put up for the pass. Our tables food was sat there for 11 minutes before they worked out it was ours and by the time it got to us half the dish was cold so chips etc had to be replaced.
Meat elements of the dishes seemed to feel tough and maybe just warmed through before plated.
Awesome brunch. Food was ace, service with a smile and was very attentive. Booking and COVID system was super slick. Really impressed.

Great food and great atmosphere. Staff were all very friendly, getting the balance of being relaxed yet attentive just right. Service was prompt and dishes were delicious. We have been to a few Bill’s restaurants in the past, but this was our first meal at Brighton, and was the best by a long way.!
All staff were so welcoming and really friendly. Orders for gluten free taken by trained staff only and meals brought up by someone also trained. Allowed my coeliac fiancé to eat with confidence. This makes a huge difference to the overall experience for both of us. Have eaten hear for breakfast and lunch now, and both trips were equally as lovely.
Asked at door for table of two, was told sorry no availability she told us good luck on finding somewhere, even though the place had empty tables. We went outside and booked online then see the same lady who took us to a table! Joke really, why was this?????
table for 2, booking started at 7, ordered food at 5 past, watched 4 other groups arrive and get served their food before us, food arrived after 50 minutes.
We ordered from the set menu. The starters were nice. But the mains (both had the mushroom risotto) left much to be desired. To start with, there was so much rice compared to the other ingredients in the dish. It was bland and tasteless and honestly really disappointing, we didn't even finish our meals. When the waiter asked how our food was we told him this and he just replied with "oh sorry about that" and then left. Given the usual quality at Bill's my partner and I were extremely disappointed and most likely won't be returning again.
We had a lovely time here. It was the perfect place to go for our anniversary.

The staff member who greeted us at the door wasn’t very friendly, we were sat with no menus & eventually had to request them. Our food took over half an hour to arrive, we only ordered 3 mains & it wasn’t busy. We’re a young family, I thought the staff would be more considerate. We go to our local Bill’s in Canterbury frequently & love it but sadly this visit left us very disappointed.
Was able to find a reservation at short notice. Our waiter was really accommodating and friendly!
The breakfast here is great, they have good choices and it’s always well prepared and presented. The main menu food, however, was very disappointing. My partner and I ordered different dishes, and both were so bland and did not taste as though they had been seasoned at all. Very disappointing given the prices and that the breakfast is good
I took my grandaughter for some quality one to one time for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Great food, fantastic service, friendly fun waiting staff and a fabulous DJ playing great tunes! We had a ball. What a lovely restaurant and a fantastic Italian manager- I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you team- a lovely evening!

It is always fun to dine at Bill's in Brighton. Unfortunately due to staff shortages, the menu was quite restricted which meant my vegan companion didn't have much choice for her lunch. However what we did have was very good.
Everything was amazing. One of the best restaurant.
