Very pleasant experience, tasty food and good service. Recommend.
Great atmosphere, delicious food. Staff were attentive. The push for add ons was a bit off putting when ordering, however it hasn’t put me off wanting to visit again.
Love Bill's. Delicious brunch and side of pancakes.
Very nice restaurant. Good Canterbury location. Always very pleasant atmosphere. Good food, excellent staff, good value!
Delicious as always . Great staff, menu and food . Another great afternoon with family and friends.
Food was very good, although some of the items on the set menu weren't available as deliveries hadn't been received that day. All-in-all a nice meal.
Only had coffee but excellent friendly and quick service and good coffee
Fast and amazing service. Food is always nice and this restaurant is very nice to dine in. Highly recommended
Freezing cold day outside, overhead heater and big rugs.
My “vegan” Son devoured a plate of steak, two eggs and truffle chips while his dad had a vegan burger which is getting better and better!
Lovely meal, staff friendly and attentive , nice and relaxing
Great place to eat. Well priced food and you get enough. My daughter especially likes Bill's Classic Burger as she gets to chose how it's cooked. Not a massive menu but something for everyone. Service is attentive and quick. Highly recommend.
It was an ok experience. Firstly the service was good, attentive, polite and efficient. Bills has become a little to corporate to have good ambience but it’s still pleasant. As is so often the problem the music is too loud. People don’t go to a restaurant to listen to music so why is it so often turned up? It makes conversation difficult.
I would have awarded a higher mark if the food had been better. Too much fried food on the menu. My wife’s sea bass was well cooked. The rest of us had fish gougons, minute steak and chicken - all over cooked sadly. And why are the chips pre salted?
Bills is excellent, usually, for breakfasts but the lunch menu isn’t special enough to make it stand out from the crowd. That’s the fault of the senior management not those in the branch. I realise the British like over cooked food so we may not have been normal customers.
food was very good quality, waiters were extremely kind and helpful. altogether amazing!
Booked appointment but made to wait in the doorway - then they chose to answer the phone over dealing with customers standing in front of them.
Took ages to take the order, and not to mention having 2 small children made this even worse.
Kids food arrived, was just about ok. Ours 5-10 mins later and was either cold or uncooked and inedible.
Was dealt with and taken off the bill but will not return.
Managed to book only 5 minutes ahead as we saw quite a long queue outside.
They were clearly best busy but looked after us really well
I asked for something particular and the waitress said she would look into it but didn’t come back. I ended up with something missing from my order and it was obviously an effort to go and get it, also I’d asked for brown toast and received white toast so yet again it was an effort to rectify it and took two waitresses to change it.
I declined the optional service charge as I believe in tipping when the food and service is good.
I also heard the waitresses talking about me as I left which was most uncomfortable.
I have been to Bills before and the service and food has been better however I think this may be my last visit.
A lovely beginning to the New Year. Fantastic as usual. It was nice sitting outside for a change and I love the chairs with cushions and blankets. Lovely place 👍💜
Reasonable value restaurant chain. Pleasant food, nice decor, clean toilets. Great for a casual lunch and dinner. A varied menu which caters for vegetarians as well.
Lovely food, service great. Always a happy experience.
Incredibly.slow and poor service when we visited.
My wife and I had the Christmas burger and thought that it was tasty, moist and a good sized portion.
Visited for lunch at Canterbury today. Had the avocado and halloumi burger with rosemary fries. No avocado in the burger when it arrived and the fries were plain and not rosemary. The waitress brought some avocado when I asked but it was not fresh and had a rancid taste and was inedible. I didn’t bother asking for replacement chips as my burger would have gone cold.
Problem is I often find that if I go to Canterbury Bills they skimp on ingredients. Often no prawns in the fish pie, never any rosemary on the fries and today no available avocado in the avocado burger! Such a shame could be really nice there.
Staff were nice and friendly though
Very pleasant meal here, we were well looked after and food was delicious and nicely presented. I like the touch of a bottle of sanitiser on every table.
The food was very good and the service was speedy! Small downside is that we were sat at a table next to the end of the bar with a noisy blender which we only realised after we'd been seated and ordered. So I would definitely return but would just sit somewhere else next time.
Excellent food and service. I had the Beef Burger with a side of Macaroni cheese and my partner had the Halloumi burger with a side of sugarsnap peas and maple syrup Vegetables. Our daughter had the children's fish finger and chips. Starter we had garlic bread and olives and we also had desserts. The starter and mains were very yummy. But the desserts were disappointing. I wish I had ordered extra ice cream on the side with the Brownie. My partner enjoyed the Christmas mince meat and apple crumble which he said was nice and very sweet. The tea pots we had were like Dr Who's Tardis I drank many cups of tea and the pot still wasn't empty! All in all, I highly recommend visiting I can't wait to come back again. Thank you :)
The food at Bills was delicious as always, however the service at this Canterbury restaurant was atrocious, waiting 30 minutes plus to order anything then a further 30 to get the food! We weren’t checked on at all and had to wait even longer for the bill! If it wasn’t for the nice food I’d never visit a bills ever again however I will still come back to Bills just not sure on the Canterbury bar again!
Had a few good experiences here but this time I felt ignored and the service was rushed. My table was not checked up on or offered condiments with the food. Gave us the bill without us asking if we was ordering anything else.
It won’t be long before we come here again, food excellent particularly the sirloin steak. We were a family of 6, all had something different and all couldn’t fault what they had. Excellent.
The staff were so lovely, the food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed. Will be returning. Thank you Bill’s xx
Unfortunately we felt as if we were being offered every extra available which was a bit pushy. We’re told Military discount had to be done online, which have never had to do before
I have only recently started going too Bills after visiting one in London but have to say it’s my favourite place. Customer service is always really lovely, the food always amazing.
My favourite place to take family and friends I love the relaxed atmosphere knowing the food is always of a high standard and customer service is too.
Thank you to your staff in Canterbury
Great place for meeting friends. Found service rushed a bit, but we asked if they could slow it down and they happily obliged. Obviously very busy. Food great as always. Some tables were asked if they wanted water, we weren't but maybe thats just a training issue as we were asked before.
overall ok but bit tight on amount of chips for such a big plate and waited long time for cocktail.
Festive lunch and what a treat. Great start to munch through the pigs in blankets and then a burger to die for. Panacotta pudding rounded it off nicely. Thank you to all the staff.
They were very busy, but the foid was prompt and tasty.
Nice table, good service. Food was very good. Menu limited to my taste.
Lovely evening with a good waitress. Cocktails where nice but some didn't seem to be what they cost!
The starter and mains where nice. The sweet was good "Christmas pot cheesecake" but I thought the maker needs to tone down the sweetness of the overall dish. Am a chef myself and thought the balance of the dessert was lacking. Pure sugar.
Service slow and dismissive. Mains brought to us and dropped onto the table and walked off without any questions, asking if we want sauces etc. was not checked on during meal. Sat below a speaker that was really loud. Received attitude when I asked them to take their auto tip off the bill.
Good service good food slightly overpriced in my personal opinion. But overall very good.
