Bill's Restaurant & Bar - Greenwich
Really lovely friendly restaurant. The staff are great and the service is stop on. Food is delicious and the decor is fab! The only criticism is that it’s a bit chilly in there so a little cardi to wrap around your shoulders is needed. Other than that, I throughly recommend.
Always enjoy a meal at Bill's. Good food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere.
Well presented dishes
A lovely experience - there was a Bill’s extension to the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, which was the reason we booked. We had each had 3 courses from the specific menu and shared a bottle of ‘House red’ so were surprised when our bill came to over £60.00. Having said that, from reception to leaving was a great experience. At one point my husband accidentally knocked over his water and his wine, smashing both glasses and the staff were wonderful and kind. His wine glass was replaced with one which was half full. Our food was well presented, hot and very tasty.
Very disappointed. Not a single waiter was wearing a face shield and track and trace wasn't even mentioned. We ordered breakfast just before the closedown slot of 11:30am and I could tell the food had been cooked some time ago. As a chain operating in a pandemic I would expect much better. Will not be returning.
I was not really satisfied with the waitress. She did not even introduce herself or ask us how are we doing, no sense of warmness and welcome! No communication at all! Just took the orders and took us 25 mins to bring our drinks
The food was ok, nothing special. However, the service was really bad. We ordered some water at the start of the evening and didn't receive it until our third course. Also, one of our party did not receive her main until we all finished ours because someone forgot to bring it out of the kitchen. She was offered a free drink as compensation for this but they also forgot to bring this over until we had finished eating and and were ready for the bill.
I had a steak and it was lovely. My friend had the seabass and it was also delicious. Highly recommend.
Went there on a breakfast date night with my partner. The staff were so lovely and attentive. We got pancakes which were nice, fluffy and super filling.
Took 45 minutes to get our meals out and an extra 20 minutes for drinks. Waiters were slow and chatted in the back. An overall £41 for fish fingers on toast and a veg pie, extortionate prices for the service.
Overall a good experience. The only problem was that I ordered my breakfast which included halloumi cheese, but the plate I was given didn't have any cheese.
I didn't notice it at the time, but remembered it later when I checked the menu.
The waiter didn't mention anything nor he reduced the price, but I guess mistakes can happen.
We waited to order for a long time, people after us got served, our orders were completely mixed up, my son's hot chocolate was wrong. Went back and forth with trying to sort out the order as much as possible.
The waiter didn't even write down the order.
Go to bluewater bills and completely different experience.
good experience ,amazing food and very pleasant service.
food was so yummy, staff were lovely. temperature checks were done before entering the restaurant ensuring the safety of their customers
Reasonable and despite below par on this visit we will visit again. Can’t fault the staff.
Great food and nice staff, but service was a little bit slow. Small portion sizes, maybe a bit overpriced.
Food good but service was a bit of a mixed bag with wrong order and wrong bill
Delicious food, kind and attentive service and great value! The restaurant is beautiful too, we went there for brunch but the other meals in the menu looked very good and there was a huge variety of dishes. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Greenwich!
Delicious food and selection. Service a bit slow waiting for the bill but otherwise a great time.
Decided to book a table online last minute. They have a good discounted set menu. However I did find the place is quite cold. Would still go back as the food and staff were good.
I'd never visit this Bill's. The staff doesn't even get the service charge the company asks you to pay. Unacceptable.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Quality of food Is very good however they could be more generous in matter of quantity.
Really good value for money! I would highly recommend the sirloin steak. Excellent Customer Service, staff went above and beyond and definitely going back 😁
Arrived on time. Seated upstairs and left for 5 mins as waiter was running late.
Food was delivered to wrong table so had to be recooked. Waiter mixed up steaks so I got my friend’s rare and vice versa my medium was with my friend.
Had to cancel dessert as running so late. Asked for more drinks and never came.
On the whole was in there 18:30-20:00 and had one course and one drink.
Chaotic and messy entrance. And a rather abrupt manager. Literally no idea on how to greet customers. And a pregnant one at that.
A messy and poorly managed entrance had a queue of people looking purplexed, we assumed that they were walk ins, but we had a booking. We put our heads in and asked the guy with the waistcoat on and said we had a booking - his response? So do the other people, we don’t accept walk ins, we are really busy, so you’ll need to queue.
My friend is pregnant.
I don’t care if you are busy, have a system. Pay attention. Be aware of the customers.
We then watched as the next gentleman turned away all the 4 couple ahead of us as they had no bookings. What a waste of time. He then asked if we had a booking and we said yes. Mr grumps took us to our seats - upstairs (pregnant friend) to an empty restaurant. And cold.
Service from here was hit and miss, while polite from the team (if not a little sweary and too familiar) the service took a while. Food was good.
Definitely the worst bills I’ve been to, so won’t be back to this branch again.
Food disappointing ,staff (not all) the same
The food took almost 1.5 hours to arrive once we placed our order.
Our drinks got mixed up, we even got overcharged on the final bill, with a service charge also included.
The team at bills were friendly, especially the young Spanish lady. She was amazing.
The food was average, we got served our dessert before the main course which was strange.
But, we are very unlikely to return back to bills.
I ate at 7pm on a weekday night. The restaurant was quite busy. I was shown to my table on time and was finished eating by 7.50; the food came VERY quickly and I felt I was being rushed. As is my habit, I rounded up the bill to give a healthy tip. Only afterwards did I realise the bill already included 12.5% - I think a reminder by the waiting staff would have been appropriate as I ended up tipping over 25%.
Inexpensive friendly restaurant.
I had the calamari and there was a long hair found in the food and that was very unpleasant. The servers kept on forgetting about our orders and we had to remind them constantly. They also gave us the wrong orders. I had said to the waiter I want my starter to come out with the main and she brought my starter out first and I had to wait another half an hour for my main.
I'm a regular customer at bills but out of every branch I've been to Greenwich was the worst experience.
Slow, very slow. Not very busy but took an hour for mains to arrive.
Great service from the staff under trying conditions at the moment. My partner had the fish and chips and I had the beef rib. Highly recommend both.
You so need to sort out your social distancing in and out of restaurant !!!!!! It’s chaotic and a bit scary to be honest !!!!
Temp taken on entry, great social distancing between tables, which had been cleaned before we sat down. Very happy attentive staff and the food was brilliant. Hot and tasty.
Social distancing appalling - with only one entrance - exit and no waiting area, everyone was so close and no attempt what so ever given to trying to keep groups separate. Walk-ins seemed to be given higher priority than those with bookings. Pathetic attempt of being Covid safe by taking temp of customers when entering resistant. Staff handling everything, no face masks or visors being used by staff and no apparent cleaning of shared items such as pepper mills. Will not be going there again
Really nicely done inside. We went there for breakfast on Saturday morning. Really good food. Friendly staff. £39 for 2 large breakfast with tea. Its not the cheapest.
Nice restaurant with stylish décor and cosy ambience, versatile for a quiet morning brekkie / brunch, an evening meal, or just drinks. Set on 2 floors, so good spacing. Varied selection of dishes at a reasonable price.
Lovely service, staff and food! Thank you very much
We had a great meal, on arrival we were concerned about the noise level ( we had a couple of older friends with us who hate noise), but we were shown to our table located upstairs which was empty and quite which was perfect for us.
The service was great and the foods was delicious, highly recommend the doughnuts for desert!!!
On the set menu there were only 3 starters and 2 mains available and the 2 mains were both chicken. They had limited beers and tap water was warm and served with no ice.
We waited over an hour for any food even though restaurant was very empty. The fish finger sandwich was nothing more than 2 large slices of toasted bread hiding a very small amount of fish.
A homeless person came in and walked around tables for 5 minutes asking for money before a member of staff spotted the situation.
