Really good atmosphere. Service and attentiveness of staff exemplary
Nice place..great ambience....a bit expensive though....
So I asked for customised English breakfast and the guy who was servicing me ended up customizing the Traditional English breakfast.
let me explain, I had two sausage, three bacon, fried potato, two slices of toast, mushroom and scrambled egg for £15.
so even if you charge £2 for each stuff it should still cost me not more than £14 but who charges £2 each for fried potato toast, mushroom
Exceptional service, staff were very nice and attentive.
Poor service very very slow. Chicken Caesar salad..? Tasted weird. Took over 30 mins to deliver.. strawberry ice cresm another 15 my ns after 3 reminders! Won’t be back in a hurry
Nice evening with friends. Quite loud music so hard to hear staff with the masks they are provided with. Imagine it makes the job quite tiring for them.
Nice friendly atmosphere. Always enjoy breakfast there with my family.
Booked a table here to celebrate a special birthday for my wife. In the special request option on the booking form I asked if the venue could dress our table so as to help her celebrate.
And they did a fantastic job with a big bouquet of balloons, also when we were given our bill, the management had removed a round of drinks from the total amount, as a birthday treat for my wife. Thank you Bill's you made a special day even more special
Love the summer menu change. New variety and good comfort food
Everything was great but I expect more than 1 sausage and no beans. Quality was great but come on … 1 sausage and extra for baked beans. Still very nice experience
The breakfast selection at Bill's is great . Lots to choose from and freshly made. The poached eggs were perfect and the smoothie really tasty and fresh.
Haven’t been to bills before and I’m glad I did. Had such a lovely time there. The servers were so friendly and make our experience even better. Food was perfectly cooked.
For the price, its a great experience with a really good team.
Went to Bills for the first time on a lunch date with the husband. Food was great, service was as good. Waiting times between courses was fine. A bit pricey so it would be some where we would go as a treat. Definitely would go back.
Booked for brunch for my daughter's birthday, put a comment in the booking but it wasn't noted. Food came quickly, wasn't to the greatest standard though - only 1 poached egg was soft and pancakes were quite dry and a little heavy/stodgy. Had to ask twice for water and the minute knife/fork put down, plate was removed, despite daughter still eating. As the second plate was taken, was asked if wanted the bill, so felt like we were being rushed. I think from sitting down to paying the bill was less than 25 minutes.
Didnt' like the fact that service was automatically added, only saw this once I'd actually paid.
I would go back, as generally the food is good, great location and not usually made to feel like we were being hurried out the door for the next customer.
Great breakfast lots of choice
From just a slice of toast to full cooked
Breakfast and of course their tasty smoothies
Wonderful staff! Had a great evening. The food came out promptly, we were well looked after by our server
Amazing service and great food! All arrived very quickly with servers making sure to check if we were content with our meal.
Food was incredible, service was outstanding. Atmosphere was maybe a little loud but
The food was a real letdown this time, we have eaten at Bills many times and really enjoyed the food. This time their amazing chips were hard and undercooked and the burger was just mush. It was disappointing as Bills is quite expensive.
Service wasn’t great, the waiter was lovely but it took a long time to order drinks, and a long time for them to arrive. The wrong drink came and another waiter brought food to our table which we hadn’t ordered. It’s a lovely venue and nice ambience but the service wasn’t up to scratch.
The first meal I have had at Bill’s that was a disappointment. I had the fish and chips, which was over-fried cod goujons and calamari, and mushy peas with feta on top - horrible. Even the chips were over-fried or oil needed to be changed.
Slow service but great food and drinks at an even better price
The service was the best I have ever had in there. The 2 gentlemen who serviced us were very attentive.
We received great food and service. Bills is reliably good.
Friendly staff, great menu. It was nice to find somewhere cool which was available on Father's Day. Thanks!
Fab food , service little slow but feel it’s more to do with how the system has to be run due to restrictions, but overall a great dining experience
Great service, very good food and lovely presentation!
We went in for brunch, lovely food and service was good too. Changed the layout so there was more space between tables, which was good
Found everything good apart from the food & drink temperature which was just warm definitely not hot. I would have complained but there was a few very minor issues that was dealt with so it was my own fault!
Really lovely atmosphere and servers were friendly and fast. Thank you to all staff members.
Staff couldn’t be more lovely and helpful. Unfortunately the food fell short of what you’d expect from Bills and the price paid- pancakes with banana, strawberries and blueberries, it was missing blueberries (waitress kindly got me some) and only 1 strawberry cut into quarters. They were huge, but very stodgy and chewy.
My husband’s full English was ok, but he said it wasn’t one of the better breakfasts he’s had.
Excellent food - service was very fast and efficient!
My fish pie was not good. Maybe it had been frozen for a long time. It was not fresh and difficult to eat. As I was with a friend I didn’t complain. But would not eat at High Wycombe restaurant again.
Good veggie and vegan options for brunch. Helpful polite staffed lovely atmosphere, bright and open with the French doors open. Really lovely experience.
The cocktails were lovley however we had some of our mains come out with the starters.and it was clear that the calamari on the main starter board had just been reheated and was incredibly chewy and dark in colour. The chicken burger for mains was burnt and inedable. Our two rare sirloin steaks both came out well done and had to be remade when they did this they were both extremley chewy. We have have been to bills many times in the past and last night was just a disapointment in comparison to the normal experience.
Usually I have a good time at Bills. On my last visit I was very disappointed. It was my birthday and I wore a birthday badge. Upon arriving I was wished Happy Birthday which was nice. I sat down with my friend and ordered our food. The server came back and said the steak came with a peppercorn sauce and did I want it. She didn’t bring to my attention that it cost extra.
Our starters came out in a timely way and we began to eat. We were not even half way through eating our starter when the main course arrived. So we had to make room on our table to accommodate the main course. By the time we finished our starter, our main dish had started to cool down. I had ordered a steak and had to ask for a steak knife. It was brought to me when the food came to the table.
We carried on with our meal and we hadn’t finished our main, when we were asked if we wanted desserts. We were advised that we had to order straight away as the kitchen was closing soon. We declined.
I have never felt so rushed when dining at Bills. Both myself and my friend felt that the staff just wanted us (and other diners) to leave. This had absolutely nothing to do with the time limit that you have on parties of 2. Not the experience I wanted for my birthday.
Good choice on menu and not overpriced
Very pleasant lunch. Helpful staff . Good food and wide choice.
It was my daughters birthday and as usual we had a lovely time. Food was great and the service was really good but when it came to the bill, I wanted to pay with cash but the waitress didn’t have any change..? The bill was £33 with service and I gave her £40. She said she had no change and asked if that was ok..? Obviously I said it wasn’t ok to pay £7 more than the bill..!!?? Who would..?? I didn’t have my wallet on me because I had cash so didn’t think I’d need it. So now I’m there with my daughter and either pay the bill of £33 including service with £40 or… I create a fuss on my daughters birthday brunch and demand she find change..?!! My daughter who had turned 22 intervened and paid with her card..! I could’ve paid for everyone’s meals in the restaurant with the cash I had but because the waiting staff don’t carry a float and she wasn’t prepared to get change my daughter had to pay for her own birthday brunch..!!! The fact that she could do this and me reimburse her is irrelevant. What if my daughter was 12..? She couldn’t have done this and most importantly… Why should she..??!!
Service was very slow, we waited about 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink and it was not busy only one waitress serving 4 tables The 2 meeter and greeters did not make any attempt to help where happy to stand at door chatting.
The food was not as good as we previous visits, and portions seemed smaller did not feel we had value for money and will not be returning
